"So? This is the last of Borg's stuff?" Cole asked, making sure they didn't miss anything.
"Yes, this should be the last." Zane said, going over the checklist. Zane paused to look at his little brother. His little brother had started to act a little differently lately. Echo had become more confident after attending the mantle of Samurai X.
"Here's hoping." Kai said, helping tie down the last of the stuff to Nidhogg's back. Lloyd let out a groan. "Please hurry up." Lloyd pleaded with the others. He wasn't thrilled with playing the distraction for the giant undead dragon so they could secure their load.
"Green Ninja, Grandson of the first spinjitzu master, professed saviour of Ninjago and Dragon chew toy." Jay commented with a laugh.
"Shut up, Jay." Lloyd hissed as Nidhogg started rubbing up against him. This just caused everyone to chuckle at him.
"So, any idea what the big plan for Borg's memory machine is?" Jay asked after taking a pause from laughing at Lloyd. "Jay. It's obvious they want to use it to see people's memories." Nya sighed and shook her head at the Master of Lightning.
"I already knew that part." Jay said, rolling his eyes at the Master of Water. "What I mean is that the last time we were there. I'm pretty sure (Y/N)'s place didn't have electricity." Jay pointed out. "Oh." Nya said finally understanding what Jay was saying.
"Maybe that's why these Nexo Knights you mentioned are invited too." Skylor pointed out. "Didn't you say they had a big rolling fortress filled with tech?"
"I think the kid called it a Fortrex." Jay added, thinking back on the last time he'd encountered them.
"Come on, dragon. Time to get going." Kai pleaded but Nidhogg ignored him, choosing instead to play with and clean Lloyd. "The faster you deliver this the faster you can get around to taking Lloyd back to your home to play with." Jay pointed out to the Dragon. Nidhogg perked up at this and proceeded to leave. Lloyd whipped the dragon slobber off of himself.
"Echo is determined to talk her out of this." Zane commented, watching as the dragon left. "I hope he can get through to her." Kai said slumping against their own bags.
"It's not just (Y/N) we have to convince. It's also her people." Nya pointed out as a numb, dread pit formed in her stomach. And those people wanted blood and they were more than willing to force (Y/N) to make sure it happened.
Nya shuttered again. She remembered what it was like when Lloyd had her at his beck and call. And he was just a bratty child. This was an army of bloodthirsty monsters out for vengeance.
Ray was silent during all of this. He was surprised that this group of people were even bothering to even give Maya a trial. From what he'd heard from his children and their friends; these people were bloodthirsty monsters.
"Speaking of her people." Jay said quickly changing the subject. "I'm surprised that none of the Serpentine wanted to go."
"They said they want peace and are willing to accept whatever punishment is granted." Lloyd recounted what he'd been told.
"I think they just want it over and done with. They don't seem too keen on opening up old wounds." Cole added, rubbing the back of his neck as he spoke. "I think they just want this to move on before Pythor is located and given his invite. Strange that they couldn't find him." Nya pointed out.
"I think we should count our luck that he's not coming. We don't need that snake to pour any more gas on this fire. And you know he would." Jay said with absolute certainty.
The Police Commissioner's car pulled up along with Detective Tommy and Detective Simon following in their own cop car music blaring over their police sirens as they sang along. The feedback from the sirens speakers was ever-present, but the voice was clear enough to be recognised.

Lyrics:
~Why am I so cold?
~Why am I so cold!?
~You want to know what makes me tick?
~Well, it's this rage inside me.
~Nothing moves me like revenge,
~Revenge served cold.
~So I will show them what I came,
~What I came here just to do,
~I'm going to make sure karma gets a hold of you!
~You've dug your grave, it's six feet down,
~I won't be happy, this won't be over until you're in the ground,
~You chose your fate, it's inescapable now,
~Revenge is a dish best servеd cold.
~Revenge is a dish bеst served cold!
~I've struggled my whole life with this pain inside me,
~Knowing there's only one way to calm this rage inside my brain.
~Retribution will be claimed!
~And you're the one to blame!
~I'll be the reason they'll look for your grave!
~You've dug your grave, it's six feet down,
~I won't be happy, this won't be over until you're in the ground,
~You chose your fate, it's inescapable now,
~Revenge is a dish best served cold.
~The blood of those you slain was thick, but this hatred is thicker.
~So you thought you'd betray us!
~That you'd quick and disappear without explaining yourself?
~You just thought you could lie? Hide? And forget your sins?
~It's something I just can't live with.
~You've dug your grave, it's six feet down.
~I won't be happy, this won't be over until you're in the ground.
~You chose your fate, it's inescapable now.
~Revenge is a dish best served cold.
~Revenge is a dish best served cold!
The cop car came to a stop. Detectives Tommy Simon both clutching the radio just as the song started to fade. "Revenge is a dish best served cold!" Detective Tommy and Detective Simon sang together before bursting out in laughter.
The Police Commissioner cleared his throat and gave his detectives a stern look. Tommy and Simon immediately straightened up and switched off the speaker and radio.

___Nexo Knights___
Within Dark Tower Castle (Y/N) was anxiously pacing her room like a caged beast. The Sea & Forest and Lava monster, Ghost Warriors and the former Sky Pirates all quacked in fear and blocked their ears as (Y/N)'s venomous and bloodthirsty screams could be heard echoing through the halls.
"When is she going to stop!" Bansha shrieked to the Sea Monster standing beside her with his hands over his ears. "And I thought Morro's tantrums could be bad." Wrayth complained, though with a slight note of hummer.
"ARRRRGGGGHHHH!" Another scream echoed throughout the halls along with a loud crash.
"She'd better pull herself together before the trial starts. Because if her impatience costs us. I'm going to be pissed." Loggerhead snarled at his fellow monsters.
"I don't blame her though! That witch that caused all of this has finally been found! It's like putting raw meat in front of a starving predator." Baron Badwood pointed out. Some of his flies buzzed in agreement.
"I guess Hela's mark is still going strong." Siren said very thankfully for the fact that. Yes, (Y/N) might be strong but by no means was she powerful enough to escape the grasp of the mark.
Before Wrayth even got a chance to ask the songstress what she was talking about the screaming had stopped.
"Did she finally scream herself hoarse?" A partially deafened Forest Monster asked. "I hope so." Wrayth said, uncovering his ears. And he'd thought Bansha had a loud voice.
Morro on the other hand watched with delight as (Y/N) continued her rage fit. It was just as she said it would happen. (Y/N) hadn't been confident that she could contain herself if she found the person that killed Eris and started the Serpentine War. So she had them lay in wait to not only capture the target but also restrain herself from executing them where they stood.
Morro grinned again. (Y/N) had basically out-plained herself. Morro watched as (Y/N) continued to storm around the halls. She was furious that the others believed that they needed to stick to the plan and have the trial. Though some shared her sentiment of ending the witch as soon as possible. The majority had the vote and she was powerless to act against the mark.
Morro let out a chuckle. Watching (Y/N) lose her cool was definitely a sight to behold. (Y/N), bared her teeth, a low growl rumbling out of her. "What's so funny?!" (Y/N) snapped at the ghost.
"Oh, relax." Morro smirked. "I don't get to see you this worked up very often. So I'm enjoying every moment of it." Morro admitted. Not that he was projecting or anything.
(Y/N) rolled her eyes at the ghost and went back to stalking around the halls. The rubble of what had once been a wall crunching under her boots.
"I have to admit. You're impressive when you don't hold back." Morro called out after her as she went through a doorway, the door half hanging off of its hinges. Morro simply floated through the wall.
(Y/N) had taken a seat and was now quietly fuming. "Don't worry. You'll get your revenge soon enough." Morro said gently stroking her hair. (Y/N) let out a tiny growl but let Morro continue stroking her hair.
Poor sweet (Y/N). Honestly, Morro couldn't understand why couldn't (Y/N) be selfish? (Y/N) could afford to be selfish once in a while. At least on this. Morro tucked (Y/N)'s head under his chin. "You'll achieve your goal soon enough." Morro assured her while still playing with her hair.
(Y/N) would burn herself out the way she was going. She worked so hard to keep up with her responsibilities and that sometimes that meant culling those who caused them harm as much as it meant protecting them and securing supplies so they could prosper.
"I want this over and done with." (Y/N) grumbled, her right fist coming down hard on the wooden chair arm. "I want my freedom." (Y/N) quietly thought to herself, looking down at her dragon birthmark which hid Hela's mark.
"And it will be." Morro continued to reassure and soothe her. Though he couldn't help the teasing smirk that crossed his face as he spoke. "And I'll be right by your side." Morro promised with a dark glint in his eyes. "Making sure it happens." And if Lloyd got hurt in the process. Well, all the better for him.

___Nexo Knights___
Idle chatter once again filled the courtyard of Dark Tower Castle as Nidhogg had arrived, carrying all sorts of items strapped to its hide.
"I'm guessing these are the supplies for this Borg wizard." A nearby Ash Attacker guessed out loud.
"All right, carefully unload everything. We don't want anything broken." Mayor Magmar (formerly General Magmar) instructed, making extra sure to emphasise the carefully part.
There was a quiet knocking on the front gate. Sharkerado opened the gate to find Jestro standing there alone. Clutching a scroll tightly to his chest.
Jestro had returned to his form before his corruption, his eyes were no longer orangish-yellow, his teeth were no longer crooked and stained. Jestro clothing had even changed back to its previous form no longer tattered and restored to their former colour schemes.
Sharkerado had to admit it took him a moment to recognise the jester without the influence of that book that had been housing Monstrux's soul. That was a disaster the moat stalker didn't want to think of right now. Though it was weird to see Jestro's face caked in white makeup.
Sharkerado briefly wondered if it was a human custom before speaking. "Have you come to apologise again?" Sharkerado questioned the quivering mess before him. While it wasn't unwanted it was indeed strange for monsters to have a human actually admit to their crime and genuinely apologise for their abhorrent actions towards them.
It had been... interesting to watch as the jester fumbled over his apology speech in front of them all. It was even more interesting to discover Jestro had walked all the way here with his heartfelt self written apology to each of the monster tribes.
The Lava monsters had called it even since they were betraying him to Monstrux anyway.
"Because you've already done that three times already." Sharkerado pointed out to the jittering jester. Sharkerado was beginning to wonder if the human had suffered memory loss from all the dark magic he'd been exposed to.
"Um, yes. Um, I am still very, very, very sorry about that and I'm still apologising to everyone across the realm about all the things I did. But that's not why I'm here. This was delivered to me." Jestro said, holding out the scroll for Sharkerado. It was one of the invitation scrolls.
"So I'm here to face my punishment." Jestro squeaked out in a trembling voice. Sharkerado blinked in confusion. Had the human actually assumed it was his trial and shown up to face his punishment?
"You have miss read this." Sharkerado explained to the shaking human. "Hu?" Jestro questioned looking up at the fearsome moat stalker.
"It's not your punishment." Sharkerado further explained to the terrified human. "We've caught the person responsible for Hela's rain in the realm. You've been invited to speak on behalf of your people."
"Oh?" Was all Jestro could manage to say. "Proceed inside." Sharkerado instructed the confused human.
"Though be warned. The Queen of Monsters is in a foul mood. One of the Ghost Warriors is attempting to cheer her up. Though I am personally doubtful that he will soothe her anger." Sharkerado warned the remorseful jester.
"Perhaps, I can give it a go? After all, my old job was as a court jester." Jestro offered, putting one of his bright smiles and trotted off to help.
"You are either the bravest or the craziest human I have ever met." Sharkerado commented under his breath as he watched Jestro walk inside the gates.

___Nexo Knights___
Jestro stuck his head through a large hole in the wall that now connected the room (Y/N) was admittedly sulking inside to the rest of the hallway.
"Hi." Jestro piped up and gave a little wave of happiness to the brooding Queen of Monsters and the Ghost Warrior hovering by her right side.
Honestly, from the appearance of things, it looked like (Y/N) had everything under control. That she was handling this. And everything was finally going to be wrapped up in a nice little bow! Of course... Jestro also knew better than anyone about how to internalise things. Put up a front, give off the best fake smile to the world.
It was obvious to him that she was succumbing to dark magic thanks to the collective weight of all the high expectations and soul-crushing responsibility being placed on her shoulders by her fellow monsters.
Jestro noticed the dark aura that hung around (Y/N) as though it was an oppressive cloak. Jestro knew first hand that dark magic gained strength from negativity and she was soaked in it.
The corruption he experienced had altered his personality somewhat, especially as he started to embrace being evil. He becomes more willing to attack anyone in his way, whether he used to have personal ties to them or not, and gains a lot more confidence in his actions.
Jestro also noticed the angry green veins webbing out from underneath the dragon birthmark on (Y/N)'s right forearm and the dark circles under her glowing eyes. Jestro wouldn't have been surprised if the same veins started spreading from around her eyes as he'd seen in depictions of others who wielded strong dark magic.
"Jestro." (Y/N) said coolly, acknowledging his presence. "I take it you received your invitation."
"Uh, yes I did." Jestro said, nervously clearing his throat. "Though I kind of thought it was for my own execution." Jestro chuckled to himself. He was grateful that the white grease pain he wore on his face hid the blush for his embarrassment.
"Wait? You thought this was your trial and still came anyway?" Morro questioned. Jestro nodded, the little bells on his jesters' cap jingling as he did. Morro's face went blank with confusion. (Y/N) seemed mildly stunned by Jestro choosing to come instead of running away.
"Hu, well... You're certainly more... integrity than most of your kind. I will give you that." Morro said coming up with the words to convey what he'd just heard.
"After that was all cleared up at the front gate. I came to ask if you would like any assistance on this important day." Jestro continued to explain.
(Y/N) and Morro shared a look. "Jestro-" Before (Y/N) could politely decline the offer of help. An Ash Smasher came running in. "Your highness! Nidhogg has left and will be returning with the constituents from Ninjago!" The Ash Smasher shouted his report to the Queen of Monsters.
"You know what Jestro, maybe you could lend a hand." (Y/N) calmly stated. "Really?" Jestro questioned the Queen of Monsters, perking up slightly as he did.
"Yes, why don't you go greet them while I step out for a moment." (Y/N) said get off her seat and leaving the room. "Tell them, they will be met in the throne room." (Y/N) instructed the jester.
"Ok, but why?" Jestro questioned as he watched the Queen leave. Her steps echoing on the stone floors as she walked. "Many hands make light work." (Y/N) said with a playful smirk and continued leaving. Morro floating after her.
(Third Person P.O.V)
___Nexo Knights___
The Ninjas and Ray marched their way to the throne room. Jestro hot on their heels calling after them. "Please, wait up." Jestro pleaded. "I can't run very fast."
"WHERE'S MY WIFE!?" Ray yelled as he threw the doors of the throne room open. Only to discover no one inside. This pause allowed Jestro to catch up to the group. Puffing and panting once he caught up with them.
"You said that she'd meet us here!" Kai snapped at the out of breath jester.
"No, she said you'd be met here." A voice corrected the fire ninja, causing them all to jump and spin around to look back at the doors they'd just stormed through.
Standing there was Betrayal. Her signature lantern strapped to her waist proudly showing off the symbol for betrayal and carrying her scythe. Morro watched from her side with feigned disinterest in the gathered Elemental Masters.
"Where is my wife!" Ray yelled at the Avatar of Betrayal. As the Ninjas looked on apprehensively. Betrayal just glanced at him. She was completely unmoved by the human's screaming.
"In the dungeons. Waiting for trial." Betrayal calmly stated. Kai and Nya let out a loud sigh of relief at the news that their mother was still alive.
"Although, If it was solely up to (Y/N) though your wife would have been beheaded by now." Betrayal coldly informed the enraged travellers from another realm.
"Give me back my wife, you devious child of a snake!" Ray roared, at the Avatar of Betrayal.
His enthusiastic name-calling was met by a wild cackle from Betrayal. "You know what? I may be devious, but at least I'm honest about it!" Betrayal cackled. Her yellow and orange eyes almost appeared to glow as if they were hot lava. "Unlike your wife who murdered a woman and caused a war."
"But-but, she-!" Ray yelled, arms flailing before he huffed and slumped to the floor, muttering to himself. Morro's face seemed to alternate between regally serious and sly half-smiles with every sentence they had.
"Look human. You're going to get your chance to speak just like everyone else here." Betrayal continued to calmly state. "So save your snivelling, crying and outrage for the trial just like the rest of us." It may have come off a little more curt than intended. But betrayal always does sting.
"What trial!?" Ray spat at her, defiant in the face of his beloved wife's certain doom. "It's just you casting judgment isn't it!?" Ray shouted.
Betrayal rolled her eyes at the former master of fire. "The one you know as (Y/N) wasn't the only being to suffer due to your wife's actions. Many people have their grievances against the one who created the Queen of Darkness." Betrayal spat the Ninja's shook under her ice-cold glare.
"Wait? Aren't you, (Y/N)?" Ray questioned the girl sitting on the throne. "Not exactly." Nya tried to explain to her father. "It's too tedious to explain." Betrayal yawned and waved a dismissive hand. "Morro be a dear and go and collect someone to explain it in my stead." Betrayal instructed.
"Right away." Morro said and floated through a wall. After a few moments, the doors to the throne room were thrown open with a heavy gust of wind followed by Morro dangling Mayor Magmar by the foot.
"Put me down! You spiteful spectre!" Mayor Magmar yelled at Morro. "If you insist." Morro shrugged and dropped the Lava Monster on top of Lloyd.
"Ah, Mayor Magmar." Betrayal said, ignoring the fact of what Morro had just done. "Please, escort these humans out and explain to them the festivities." Betrayal dismissively instructed.
"It will be done." Mayor Magmar said after pulling himself off the ground and quickly signalled for the humans to follow him. Morro used his powers to slam the door shut as they left the throne room, almost catching Lloyd in them as he did.
(Third Person P.O.V)
___Nexo Knights___
Mayor Magmar escorted them to a private room that was not currently in use by anyone. He took a seat at the head of a nearby table and signed for the humans to join him. Some took seats, others chose to stand.
"Now, then. I take it there is some confusion about the trial?" Mayor Magmar asked the group of confused humans that he'd been ordered to educate.
"Yes!" Ray yelled at the Lava Monster as he stomped up and slammed his hands onto the table. "Release my wife!" Ray shouted.
"Don't be absurd. I can't do that." Mayor Magmar explained with a sigh. This was going to be a long day. But he did promise his fellow Lava Monsters to try and lead them to change their ways and move on from the past when he became Mayor. This included giving rude humans a chance.
Mayor Magmar stared down the former master of fire. "You need to comprehend who is standing before you on the battlefield!" Mayor Magmar said using his general voice. His eyes fixed on the eldest human.
"This is your first and last warning!" Mayor Magmar snarled at the ignorant human. "Monster word is the law here! Our orders are final! Anyone disrupting these events will not be banished from this kingdom, they will be put to death for interfering and possibly start a war!"
Mayor Magmar watched as the gravity of the situation they were in started to sink in for the thick-headed Ray. He took a breath and allowed himself to settle before speaking in a much calmer tone.
"Don't jeopardize any chance at a peaceful outcome." Mayor Magmar warned in a solemn voice. Ray clenched his teeth. "There has been enough war, pain and death." His tone was that of a person who had seen enough of the horrors of war.
Ray made a funny movement that almost could have been a wince. These creatures were already crying for Maya's blood. They were spread out all over this place, just waiting to strike. They were a powder keg just waiting to go off at any prevocational spark.
"Betrayal was right when she said (Y/N) wasn't the only being to suffer due to your wife's actions. Many people, Human and Monster alike, have their grievances against the one who created the Queen of Darkness." Mayor Magmar forewarned them of the trouble they would insight.
The former Master of Fire glowered in increasing anger. Kai and Nya had to place a hand on their father to calm him.
"Many people in this realm have lost livelihoods and loved ones to your wife's actions." Mayor Magmar said honestly. The anger in Ray flared again, mixed with the uncomfortable nausea of guilt.
"I don't even know what it cost those of your realm but I can make an educated guess." Mayor Magmar gritted out, as politely as he could.
Ray couldn't argue with that right now. Defeated, he let his son pull him down into the seat next to him. Ray stared at his hands for a moment, willing them to stop shaking. When he was unable to control the tremors, he clasped them together.
"Take solace in the fact that your wife is in the dungeon for as much as her safety as keeping her there from running from her long overdue punishment." Mayor Magmar explained. Ray actually flinched. "At least until the trial starts. I suggest in the meanwhile you take part in the festivities and utilities until then." Mayor Magmar offered.
Mayor Magmar sincerely hoped these humans were smart enough to take them up on the offer. The festivities had always been a traditional way to temper everyone's outrage at times such as this. Stopping them from becoming an angry mob, lashing out without thinking.
Ray burst into tears. Nya and Kai attempted to comfort their father. The rest of the Ninja just gave the Lava Monster the dirtiest of looks.
Then again humans weren't particularly bright.
