The Vermillion made it to Mega Monster Amusement Park, stealing all the metal they could get their hands on. Viciously tarring it apart fling strips of metal this way and that. Causing the metal to rain down upon the terrified amusement park guests and staff.

"What are those things?" A terrified amusement park goer cried out in fear. "What do they want?" A second amusement park goer cried out.

Some of the Vermillion Samurai jump the mascots. "Not the mascots!" A woman shouted as the Vermillion Samurai tore the costumes off the mascots.

A pair of boys were riding a haunted house ride as the Vermillion Samurai descended upon the ride.

An obviously fake monster prop popped out. "Not cool." Boy #1 said with a board sigh. "So lame." Boy #2 said as the ride passed props.

"Not cool." Boy #1 yarned as they passed some Vermillion Samurai. "So lame." Boy #2 said rolling his eyes.

A pair of Vermillion leapt onto their buggy. "Not cool." Boy #1 said not realising they were real and not lame actors. The Vermillion start to take apart their ride. "So lame!" Boy #2 cried out in fear. "Not cool!" Boy #1 shouted in terror.

"Ah, I just love the smell of screams in the evening." Raggmunk declared with a hearty laugh.

The Ninjas pull up to Mega Monster Amusement Park ready to prevent the Vermillion from taking any more metal and endangering lives.

"Mega Monster Amusement Park? Really? Don't these guys have any sense of decency? Where does it end?" Cole said.

"It ends here and now." Lloyd declared. "The roller coaster!" Nya gasps and points to where the Vermillion are taking apart its tracks of the active ride. Viciously tearing apart the rollercoaster causing the metal to rain down upon the terrified amusement park guests and staff.

"Zane, Cole, get up there fast!" Lloyd orders. "Right." Zane responded. "Got it." Cole replied leaping into action to save the participants of the ride.

"The rest of you spread out. Time to make this place a snake-free zone. We can do this, team!" Lloyd ordered before they split up.

"Wow, listen to Lloyd taking charge. I like it. He's starting to get this Master thing down." Kai said with a little bit of pride. As he split from his sister's side and headed inside the haunted house ride.

"You don't have a ticket, and you don't have a ticket, and you, and you." Cole said knocking snakes off the ride. Zane uses his powers to save the people strapped in to the ride by creating an ice toboggan ramp for them to glide down to safety.

Kai defeated some Vermillion terrorising the haunted house ride when a ghost prop pops out. On reflex, Kai attacks, accidentally destroying the fake ghost prop by mistake.

"Fake ghost, hehe. I knew that." Kai said with an embarrassed chuckle. "Not cool." Boy #1 snorted at Kai. "So lame." Boy #2 said rolling his eyes at Kai as the ride continued.

"Ungrateful brats." Kai mumbled under his breath as he turned around in time to defeat another Vermillion coming after him.

Kai catches a glimpse inside its helmet to see an emblem. Something about the emblem inside the helmet reminds the Master of Fire of something. "Huh? That symbol. It's..." Kai said, picking up the helmet to get a closer look at it. The Vermillion Samurai quickly snatches it back but accidentally puts it on backwards, blinding itself.

"A-Squadron, hold off the Ninja. The rest of you, keep bringing the metal. We must multitask." Raggmunk ordered with a low hiss.

Some Vermillion Samurai surround a young boy with a metal leg waiting in line for some cotton candy.

"Mind if I borrow these?" Lloyd said, popping up out of nowhere to fight off the snakes and grabs two cotton candy and attacks the snake-like samurai with them.

"What's your name?" Lloyd said to the kid in hopes of keeping him calm and not frightening him.

"I'm Johnny." Johnny said softly slightly in awe of the legendary green ninja. Lloyd effortlessly defeats some more snakes.

"Nice to meet you, Johnny." Lloyd said nodding to the kid. "You too, Lloyd." Johnny said waving goodbye to his hero. "Ninja, go!" Lloyd shouted and whipped the floor with Vermillion Samurai with Spinjitzu.

"Ninja, sound off! Is everyone okay?" Lloyd orders. "So far, barely!" Nya said slightly out of breath. "If you mean 'Okay, there sure are a lot of them!' the, yeah, I'm okay." Cole huffed also out of breath.

"For the record, this is the least amusing amusement park I've ever been to." Kai complained.

"These snakes are behaving curiously." Zane stated. "You think? Because boosting scrap metal doesn't seem like, you know, normal snake behaviour." Kai retorted.

"Neither does reforming into unstoppable samurai things." Cole pointed out.

"I mean strategically. They appear more interested in keeping us away from their compatriots that are stealing metal than they are in actually defeating us." Zane deduced.

After fighting off several more samurai, they finally realised that Jay is not with them.

"Well, they finally have to deal with us at full strength. And- hang on. Has anyone seen Jay?" Lloyd said looking around for the Master of Lightning.

"No. Now that you mention it, he wasn't with us when we arrived." Kai said thinking back.

"You know, just once, it would be nice to go into battle with a full team." Cole loudly complained. "Well don't tell us, tell Jay! He's the one who took off for wherever without saying a word to us." Nya yelled at Cole.

"I'm sure he has a good reason." Kai said, defending Jay. "Well, I'm glad you're sure." Nya hissed at her brother.

Just then the Samurai X mech suit arrives. "You have got to be kidding me!" Kai declared. "Is that my suit!?" Nya loudly shrieked in outrage.

The Vermillion Samurai surround this new threat. The current operator of the Samurai X mech suit begins to screen their movements as they quickly circle the mech suit.

Some slashing at the Samurai X mech suit. Whoever is inside the Samurai X mech suit had the mechanical suit punch an incoming Vermillion Samurai that had leapt at them.

The Vermillion Samurai sliced at its legs in an attempt to trip over the mech. Furious, Nya immediately rushes past the others, confusing them and the Vermillion Samurai. Nya positions herself between the Vermillion and the Samurai X suit. The Master of Water begins shouting at the mech suit. "Give me back my suit!"

(Third Person P.O.V)

Meanwhile, Ed and Edna try to push the snakes away from their junkyard.

"I reserve the right to refuse service to you!" Ed angrily stated to the Vermillion Samurai. "I don't think they saw your sign in the front window, honey." Edna said, gripping her pan ready to defend her love.

Blunck watches as the small Army steals metal from Ed & Edna's Scrap N Junk. "Yes! Keep it coming! Can't disappoint Commander Machia. No, not the Hands of Time's pet." Blunck grumbled.

When Jay arrived. He shocks most of the snakes, shouting. "Take your fangs off my parents, you darn dirty snakes!"

"The Ninja mustn't interfere. Get over there and take him down." Blunck ordered.

"Whoa, whoa!" Ed yelped as a Samurai lifted him over its head. Edna quickly saves him by practically braining the Vermillion Samurai that had the nerve to mess with her husband.

"Mum! Dad! Are you okay?" Jay shouted, running up to his parents and giving them a huge hug. "Oh, well, I'm now very late for my quilting circle." Edna said, returning the hug.

"Oh, Jay, what's happening? These fellas came out of nowhere and started grabbing things." Ed said in dismay and confusion. "Yeah, they do that." Jay said with a little hummer in his voice thanks to his dad's comment. "Oh! Now that's rude!" Edna angrily commented.

"Don't worry, I won't let anything happen to you. I'm gonna get you both out of here on my bike." Jay said turning around to see his bike was taken apart. "Argh!" Jay shouted in frustration upon the realisation he was unable to get his parents to safety.

(Third Person P.O.V)

Acronix checks on Krux and Cyrus Borg. "Everything is moving along according to plan, brother. The metal is coming by the snake-load and our, ahem, labourers are already hard at work on their various projects. How's it going with Borg?" Acronix asked.

"Poorly. He's barely made progress on the apparatus. And I thought you were supposed to be this era's greatest inventor!" Krux said in a snide tone.

"Oh, how can I create anything with these substandard materials? Chunks of metal, tiny scraps! And these! Wait, are these Dareth's trophies?!" Cyrus said inspecting the trophies.

"Excuses. In my day, we built with anything at hand. Craftsmanship meant something. I suspect you can build the apparatus. You just don't want to." Krux berated the inventor.

The Temporal vortex opens and drops the Slow-Mo Time Blade. Causing time to slow down for a brief moment.

"It has arrived, brother. Did you not hear me? The next Time Blade has arrived! Which means we should be out looking for it. And yet you play children's games?" Krux said, pointing at Acronix's BorgWatch.

"I am trying to discern the Blade's location on my smartwatch! However, if you keep distracting me..." Acronix hissed back.

"Fine, fine! As usual, you have far too much faith in technology. Doesn't seem like a smartwatch to me." Krux mouthed off.

"Actually, the BorgWatch is the smartest smartwatch ever. There's a heart rate monitor, a GPS unit, and even a temporal anomaly locator, hm?" Cyrus said, interrupting with a cocky smile on his face.

"The Time Blade is at latitude thirty-four degrees, longitude twenty-eight degrees." Acronix reported. "Very well. It appears technology has its uses. Maybe. Sometimes." Krux mumbled under his breath. "Ah, Commander Machia. I see you received my message." Krux said changing the subject as Commander Machia stepped into the room.

"I did. What was so important that you pulled me from the battlefield? I'm reluctant to leave details up to those fools, Blunck and Raggmunk." Machia stated.

"Hm, the Eastern Sea of Sand, given the Blade's location, our troops at both the scrapyard and Mega Monster Amusement park can get to it before we can. I'm afraid Blunck and Raggmunk are in the best position to retrieve it." Machia said, going over the readings on Acronix's BorgWatch.

"The Blade is now our top priority. Commander Machia, make it so." Krux ordered. Machia immediately sends a message to Blunck and Raggmunk. "Blunck, Raggmunk, hear me." Machia commanded to the hive mind.

"Message received, Commander Machia. Vermillion Warriors, we're leaving. Take the builders, now." Blunck reported to the hive mind.

"Let go of me! Watch it!" Ed said. Jay saves him from being kidnapped but they managed to get away with Edna. "Aah! Put me down! Wait, wait! I don't like to go anywhere without my purse! Aah!" Edna shouted.

"Mum!" Jay screamed for his mother. "Hang on, I'm coming! Gotta form my Dragon. Come on, Jay. You can do this. You can do this. I can't do this, I'm too freaked!" Jay said unable to summon his elemental dragon.

"Edna!" Ed shouted after his beloved wife. "There's meatloaf in the freezer, honey!" Edna shouted making sure they knew where dinner was.

(Third Person P.O.V)

The Vermillion at the amusement park left, confusing the Ninjas. The Samurai X Suit takes this opportunity to fly away.

"Hey, you! Suit thief! You owe me an explanation! I have a right to know who you are. Tell me." Nya shouts after them.

"Is everyone all right?" Lloyd asks, ignoring Nya's outburst. "Yeah, so what happened?" Kai said. "They had us and then..." Cole said. "And then it was like when the Time Blades showed up. Except, instead of time speeding forward, it slowed down. Way down." Nya said.

"Another Time Blade must have arrived. And somehow the snakes knew it." Lloyd said.

"Thirty-four, twenty-eight." Zane said. "Uh, oh. I think Zane got knocked offline again. He's babbling numbers." Cole said with a bitter sigh. They didn't need this right now. "No, that's latitude and longitude." Nya said, correcting the Master of Earth.

"Nya, upgrading my temporal scanner during my reboot was a good idea." Zane proudly reported. "Well, I saw the new BorgWatch had one. It seemed like a good idea." Nya said with a shrug.

"The Time Blade is in the Eastern Sea of Sand." Zane reported having deduced the coordinate. "That must be where the snakes went! We can't let them get there first. Come on!" Lloyd ordered.

(Third Person P.O.V)

Ed tries to comfort an upset Jay and raise his spirits. "Oh, I just promised nothing was gonna hurt you guys! And now they've taken Mum!" Jay bemoaned.

"It's going to be fine. I'm sure you'll come up with a way to save the day." Ed said having complete and total faith in his son.

"Yeah? How can you be sure?" Jay asked his father. "Well, because you have every other time the forces of evil have descended on this place." Ed said. Jay groans in response. "Just remember what we say in the scrap metal business. Keep your emotions under control and focus on the problem at hand." Ed said.

"Do you actually say that?" Jay said. "Ah, it's a surprisingly harsh business, son. The important thing is, we raised you to never give up." Ed said.

"You're right. I'm going after Mum." Jay sighs. "That's the spirit, son!" Ed said.

"Now, normally, I don't believe in giving birthday gifts early, but your mother is in danger, so I'm gonna make an exception." Ed said uncovering something, revealing a frame of a motorbike. "Oh um, they've stripped most of the metal off of it." Ed said in embarrassment.

The frame of a motorbike then falls apart. "Um..." Jay said. "I've got some ideas for a few modifications. If that's okay."

"Only if you let me help." Ed said and they worked together to make the Desert Lightning.

(Third Person P.O.V)

The Vermillion Samurai had made it to the Sea of Sand. The Ninjas not too far behind them in quick pursuit.

"Lovely night for a ride in the desert." Blunck said, looking up at the moon. "It's too blasted hot!" Raggmunk complained. "Yes, but it's a dry heat." Blunck stated, tired of Raggmunk complaining.

"You see, this is why I wanted my purse. I keep a bottle of water in it. Hydration is important!" Edna said from her cage above them.

"I don't see the Time Blade, but... They have Jay's mum!" Cole shouted spy Edna dangling from a cage.

"That must be why Jay left so suddenly. But, where is he?" Kai said looking around for any sign of Jay.

"We have to worry about that later. There's still a chance to get to the Time Blade first. Split up!" Lloyd ordered.

"Come on, come on! Aah! Yes!" Cole cheered as they started to catch up to the Vermillion Samurai. "We're approaching the Time Blade! Incoming!" Zane stated. "Ninjas, I have just the thing for you! Snakey-snake-snake!" Raggmunk hisses as he throws snakes at the ninjas.

The snakes slither into the vehicles clogging the engines and picking apart any fragile or loose parts causing the vehicles to crash.

"Oh, Zane! So nice to see you, dearie." Edna said, waving to Zane. Having spied him amongst the ninjas. Zane politely waved back to Jay's mother.

"The Time Blade, yes! Come to Raggmunk." Raggmunk declared getting his hands on the Time Blade.

"Hey! Why should you get the credit? Mine!" Blunck argued. "The Time Blade! No!" Lloyd shouts in horror.

"Yes! I got it! Oh, it feels better than I could ever have imagined." Raggmunk declared holding up the blade. "Oh, can I hold it? Let me hold it!" Blunck pleaded with him. But Raggmunk kept the Blade away from him.

"What's the rush, little fools?" Raggmunk said and tried to slow down the Ninja. The Ninjas dodge the Time Blade but Raggmunk accidentally shot their troops instead and slowed down one of their own vehicles.

"Nice shot." Blunck mocked Raggmunk. "It's my first time!" Raggmunk objects.

"Yes! We still have a chance! Move, move, move!" Lloyd orders. "Let me show you how it's done!" Blunck shouts at the army. Lloyd shouted. "Ninja-" Blunck eventually hits the Ninjas, slowing them down. "-gooooo!" Lloyd continued to shout in super slow motion.

"Lucky shot. Tear them apart." Raggmunk ordered and the Samurai began to surround the ninjas.

"Oh, nooooooo!" Lloyd shouts in super slow motion. "We'reeeee doooooomed!" Kai bemoaned in super slow motion.

Jay and Ed made their way to save Edna. "Now, Jay, there's a speed limit-" Ed started to say only to get interrupted by Jay. "Mum is in trouble!" Jay shouted. "And there are times it's okay to ignore it. Hit it, son!" Ed finished what he was trying to say.

"Huh?" Blunck said, hearing the sound of Jay's motorbike. "I hope you brought water!" Edna called out to her husband and son once she spotted them.

"Water won't help them." Blunck hissed at Edna and snatched the Time Blade. "What are you doing? You're also gonna slow all of us!" Raggmunk loudly objected. "Exactly." Blunck said with a wicked grin. They accidentally make a time bubble big enough to slow down the Ninja and their own Army.

"What is that?" Jay gasped as he drove into the time bubble. "Jaaaaaaaayyy!" Cole said in super slow motion. "Sooooooonnn!" Edna said in super slow motion.

Jay turns the Desert Lightning around escaping the time bubble and crashes the bike into a sand dune thanks to the high seeps a sudden jolt one they got out. Sending both Jay and Ed flying off the Desert Lightning.

"W-What are you gonna do?" Ed asks his son as Jay pulled the bike out of the sand.

"It's like you said. Never give up." Jay proudly stated. "Well, son, we show them our little modification to the bike." Ed said with a wide smile on his face.

"Stay here, Dad." Jay instructs as he hopped back on the bike. "Lightning speed!" Jay declares flipping a switch on Desert Lightning.

Jay manages to use Desert Lightning to save his mother and knock the Time Blade away. The bubble bursts and they all are freed from its control making them go back to normal speed.

"Way to go, Jay!" Cole cheered. "Talk about making a comeback!" Kai yelled.

However, Jay couldn't slow down. "SORRY-CAN'T-STOP!-PLEASE-HELP-MY-DAD-AND-GET-THE-BLADE!-SEE-YOU-BACK-AT-THE-TEMPLE!" Jay shouts as he zooms away, unable to slow down his bike.

Kai takes the Blade. "After them! Go, go, go! Get the Time Blade!" Blunck orders. "Looking for this? Catch!" Kai said, tossing the blade to Zane. "Over here!" Nya said. "Whoops." Zane said, tossing it to Nya.

"Guys quit messing around! We got the Blade! Let's get out of here!" Lloyd yells at the others.

"Haha! Close!" Kai said, tossing it. "Nope. Almost!" Zane laughed. "Remember how I said I like the way Lloyd is taking charge?" Kai sighs. "Yeah." Nya said as they continued to toss the blade between them. "I take it back." Kai sighed and tossed it to Lloyd.

Lloyd uses it to slow down the Vermillion. "No!" Raggmunk shouts as the blade's power engulfs them.

"Come on, Mr Walker. That time bubble won't last long!" Lloyd said dragging Ed along with him by the arm. "Will it last long enough for us to get these heaps in the shop for repairs?" Ed asked inspecting the trashed vehicles. "Probably not." Cole admitted.

Those snakes had done some serious internal damage and clogged the engines.

"The Supersonic Raider Jet!" Lloyd yelled, spying Zane's Jet. "The only damage to the jet is the port wing, which I can stabilize." Zane reported.

"Everybody else in!" Lloyd said. Kai almost trips on a Vermillion's helmet as they rush to get in. "There's that symbol again!" Kai said, taking the helmet. They all pile in and start the Jet. Zane holding the wing together.

The Supersonic Raider Jet has a rough time gaining altitude even with Zane stabilising the wing. "No, no, no! Pull up, pull up! Pull up, pull up! You call this stabilizing?" Cole shouted in a panic thinking they might possibly die.

"I'm trying!" Zane snapped back at the Master of Earth. "Try harder!" Cole yelled back in a panicked frenzy. The time bubble pops and the Vermillion are freed. Just in time to see the Ninjas and Ed use the jet to escape.

"Ah! What are we going to tell the Hands of Time?" Raggmunk said. "The moon was in our eyes?" Blunck said, trying to think up a cover story. "That's...not bad. Actually, yeah, let's go with that." Raggmunk agreed unable to think of anything else.

The Commanders regretfully informed Machia about their defeat.

"Mm-hm, I see. Moon in your eyes, makes sense. Yes, I'll tell them. Goodbye." Machia said. "They failed. As I suspected they would." Machia informed the twins.

"What!? We didn't get the Time Blade!?" Krux angrily spat. "Not yet." She laughs assured them they will get the Blade.

(Third Person P.O.V)

Safely back at the Temple of Airjitzu. Jay, Zane and Cole use the Slow-Mo Time Blade for their own amusement. While Nya is on her laptop, obsessed to find the whereabouts of her missing Samurai X suit and the person who stole it, while Kai delves through books to find the meaning of the mark.

"Whoa, amazing." Cole exclaimed, admiring the Slow-Mo Time Blade they just acquired.

"It is unlike anything I have ever seen." Zane said also admiring the Slow-Mo Time Blade. "So cool." Jay said studying the blade. "I must urge caution, Jay. The Time Blade is a powerful weapon." Zane warned the Master of Lightning.

"Uh, you think I don't know that? Check this." Jay declared and welds it against a stack of empty boxes. "Boom! Ha! Eight bull's eyes in a row. Beat that." Jay gloated.

"I did." Cole said in a smug tone. "Oh, really? When?" Jay questioned the Master of Earth. "When I got nine in a row." Cole said, pointing out the previously destroyed boxes.

"Okay, yeah, think you can beat that?" Jay asked, handing Cole the Time Blade. "Watch this." Cole declares and throws a box in the air and uses the Time Blade on it.

"Haha! You missed!" Jay said with a mocking laugh. "Did I? Slow-moving target. Easy peasy, lemon skweezy." Cole declares and slices the box. "And that's how you recycle an empty box." Cole states in a cocky tone.

"That box was not empty." Zane pointed out to the Master of Earth.

Jay inspects the box and lets out a shriek. "Aah!" Jay cried as he picked up a ruined stuffed toy. "Mister Cuddlywomp..." Jay sobs. Ed comforts his son. "There, there, Jay. It's ok. I'll sow him back together." Ed promised his son.

"Switching to playful mode." Zane said as he twirls and throws the Blade in Nya's direction.

"Hey, watch it. I'm working here." Nya snaps at Zane. "Sorry, Nya." Zane apologises for his playful antics.

"What's with Nya? She's been on her computer since you got back from the desert." Jay asked the others. "Her attempt to locate her stolen Samurai X suit and the perpetrator is consuming her." Zane answered.

"Ugh. She's as bad as her brother." Cole said and they turned to look at Kai while he stared at a Vermillion's helmet.

"Ah-ha! I've got a clue." Kai yelled and started skimming through a book. "Ah, I haven't got a clue." Kai sighed.

"He's been reading those Ninjago history books all day." Cole said, slightly wired out by Kai's behaviour.

"Ugh, I don't get those two. We finally get a victory and they choose to celebrate by dorking out instead of doing something cool?" Jay said. "Let's run straight at each other and see if this will slow us down before we collide." Jay gasps and then they all to laugh.

In another room, Lloyd was busy telling Master Wu about his progress with fighting the snakes.

"I really think I'm starting to get the hang of this whole Master thing. So then I come storming in on my jet, maintaining a low altitude for tactical benefits, and I just completely overwhelm the snake-army-samurai-fighter-whatever-they-are. You know, until they leapt into our vehicles and crashed. Fast forward, the Blade ends up in the sand. And General What's-His-Face..." Lloyd continued to blather on recounting his tale to Wu.

"Lloyd, dear, perhaps it would be better to tell him your amazing story when he can-Oh!" Edna said trying to unsuccessfully get Lloyd to calm down. Lloyd accidentally knocking over the tray of tea she brought them.

Misako had gone into town to get more tea and Edna and Ed had offered to watch over everyone while she was gone. But Lloyd hadn't even noticed.

"-Slow all them down like a bunch of slugs and whoosh! We fly out of there. Pretty amazing, right?" Lloyd says, finishes his tale. Wu snores leaving Lloyd a little confused.

"I'll make some more tea." Edna said with a sigh and started picking up the dropped tray.

(Third Person P.O.V)

However, at the Time Twin's base, Krux and Acronix both fume in front of Raggmunk and Blunck at how the two carelessly lost the Time Blade and failed their mission.

"You lost the Time Blade." Acronix berates Blunck and Raggmunk for their failure. "We had the Time Blade! And now we do not have the Time Blade!" Krux shouted joining in on the berating of the Samurai.

"Why?" Acronix added in a snide tone. "Because you dolts lost it!" Krux shouted, continuing his brothers yelling. "To a bunch of kids." Acronix continued to yell. "Kids!" Krux shouted even louder.

"It was the Blue Ninja. He came flying in on some weird, super-fast bike." Blunck said, defending himself.

"I definitely want to get one." Raggmunk said thinking back on the strange bike. Krux menacingly growled at the pair. So Blunck changed the subject. "So I did the whole time bubble thing." Blunck explained. "He did do the whole time bubble thing. So did I." Raggmunk added nodding his head.

"You used the Time Blade!?" Acronix shouted at Raggmunk and Blunck. This caused the pair to jump in fright.

"You were not given permission to use the Time Blade!" Krux menacingly growled. "Because you do not know how to use the Time Blade." Acronix yelled at the pair for their stupidity.

"Because if you knew how to use the Time Blade, you would not have lost the Time Blade!" Krux continued to shout.

"Now that I think about it, maybe we didn't use the Time Blade." Raggmunk said, changing his story. "Yeah, I don't think we did." Blunck lied.

"You use the Time Blade, lose the Time Blade, then lie about using and losing the Time Blade." Acronix continued to scream at them.

"Okay, yes, true, but we have come up with a way to get it back." Raggmunk said. "We lure all the Ninja here by telling them we'll trade the Blade for Cyrus Borg." Blunck states.

"We need Cyrus Borg. Without his apparatus, my plan won't work." Krux retorts get even angrier.

"Yeah, I know. Um...then we take the Time Blade and don't give them Cyrus Borg." Blunck said improvising a plan. "A double-cross."

"Has it occurred to you that if we do that, the Ninja will learn the location of our secret headquarters, see our master plan, and try to take our Blade!?" Krux said.

"It has not." Raggmunk said. "Furthermore, we need all the Time Blades, including the one you lost!" Krux yelled.

While the four of them discuss their plan, Cyrus Borg takes the opportunity to try to sabotage the apparatus. "This is your chance, Cyrus. Time for a little industrial espionage." Cyrus whispered to himself.

Unfortunately for him, Machia comes from behind seeing what he was about to do. "Are you sure you want to cut those wires? They look rather important for the apparatus to properly operate, the way lungs are important for a human to properly operate." Machia hissed a warning at Cyrus. Cyrus quickly gets back to work.

"Okay, Plan B, hear me out. Operation Fudge Bomb. We just need one thousand gallons of chocolate ice cream or—" Blunck said. "Or a plan that will actually work." Machia said, interrupting Blunck.

"You have my attention." Acronix said. "Because of your BorgWatch's temporal scanner-" Machia said. "I regret adding that." Cyrus bitterly sighed. To the inventor, it seemed as if the universe was conspiring together to ensure the Hands of Time would succeed.

Himself building the temporal scanner, the Ninjas catching a break only to have victory snatched away in the last minute, or the fact anytime an opportunity popped up to sabotage them one of the Vermillion Samurai would catch the person.

"-We know the Blade's location. Now we just need to go and get it." Machia continued to explain to the Hands of Time.

(Third Person P.O.V)

____ Ninjago ____

Jay, Zane and Cole continue to amuse themselves with the Time Blade.

Zane, Cole and Jay stand facing each other. "Let's do this." Jay declares. "Time Blade ready?" Zane and Cole nodded. They scream as they run toward each other. Zane slows down time before they run into each other.

"Faaaaaaster, Jaaaaaaaay." Cole demands in slow motion. "You'reeeee soooooo ssssssslow, Cole." Jay states in slow motion.

Lloyd walks into the room just in time to see what they are doing with the Time Blade.

"Hey! I told you guys not to mess around with the Time Blade!" Lloyd scolds the trio. "Weeeeee areeeeeen't." Jay said at the exact moment the bubble bursts and the three fall down.

"I said to hide it someplace safe." Lloyd continues to scold them. "And we ignored you." Jay replied. "Besides, we're, um, skill-building." Cole said, thinking up an excuse.

"What skill? Room-destroying? This Blade is extremely powerful and highly coveted. Nothing this valuable will be so easily conceded." Lloyd continued to scold them for their antics.

"Nothing this valuable will be so easily conceded. Sounds to me like someone's earned his black belt in being a wet blanket." Cole says in a mocking tone to Jay, who just starts laughing.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Lloyd demands. He was getting sick and tired of this.

"I believe Cole's intent is to describe you as a blanket which has become wet, not for the purpose of putting out a fire, but rather to extinguish our enjoyment." Zane dutifully explained.

"Ugh." Lloyd groaned. "Aw, seriously, Lloyd. Lighten up. It's not going anywhere." Jay sighed. Having Lloyd as their temporary master wasn't going to be fun.

"I see that after victory, some of you have chosen to amuse yourselves. I encourage you not to be so careless. Nothing this valuable will be so easily conceded." Master Wu said, stepping into the room.

"Uh, sorry, Master Wu." Cole apologised. "Well, put, Master." Jay agreed. "Well, put? I just said that exact same thing!" Lloyd loudly complained.

"Kai, Nya, join. This is important." Master Wu calls to the pair. "You have had a victory. A well-earned one. But Krux, Acronix, and their forces remain a threat. Do not allow your confidence to cloud your vigilance. I made that mistake once." Master Wu gravely expresses. He hoped they would not allow their pride to blind them.

"Kai, is something troubling you?" Master Wu asked his troubled student.

Kai hands the helmet. "The marking on this helmet. Do you recognize it?" Kai asked. A moment passes when Wu suddenly figures out where the marking comes from. Letting out a gasp as he did.

"You do recognize it. What do you know? Tell me, please." Kai pleaded with him. "This means... this changes everything." Master Wu said but before he can continue. At that exact same moment. An object crashing inside the Temple.

"What was that?" Jay demanded. They arrive outside just as the first wave of unarmed Vermillion form.

Krux and Acronix had taken this chance to attack their base. "I've run a fourth-level analysis. It appears the snake warriors have returned to retrieve the Blade." Zane said.

"Really? I could have told you that with a third-level analysis. Or a no-level analysis!" Jay hissed at Zane.

"Well, we're all the way up here and they're all the way down there. No chance they could reach us." Cole said. Krux and Acronix launched another Vermillion egg.

"Oh, come on. They built catapults?" Nya complained. "Whatever. It's just a bunch of snakes." Cole declared.

"Remain on guard, Ninja. There is more to your adversaries than you may think." Wu said. As another egg is launched at the temple.

"Uh, whatever. It's just a bunch of warriors. I mean, they are not armed, but we are." Cole declared.

"Oh, big mistake! Never bring fists to a nunchuck-sword-scythe-katana-shuriken fight." Jay boosts. Krux and Acronix launch another egg at the floating temple, this one filled to the brim with weapons.

"Oh, wow. They went from unarmed snakes to fully weaponized Vermillion warriors really, really fast." Jay complains.

"Doesn't matter. We can-Wait... That's what they're called? Vermillion warriors?" Kai asked, trying not to laugh. "Heh, I know, right? So lame. There are so many better names." Jay chuckled.

"Actually, the name is quite clever. You see, vermillion is a shade of red with a slight orange tint, a colour which symbolizes life and eternity. So in that sense, they should actually be commended for-" Zane said. "Guys, focus. Everyone ready?" Lloyd orders interrupting Zane.

"I will sit this one out to preserve my strength." Wu said, taking a seat. "Good idea, Master." Lloyd said. "Ninja...go!" The Ninjas shout together. Lloyd leads and heads on in battle alongside the others. They easily defeated the Vermillion.

"Great plan, General Machia." Blunck snickers. "Yeah, it took the Ninja, what, three seconds to defeat them. See? This is what happens when you put her in charge." Raggmunk commented.

"That was merely the first salvo." Machia said. "Next, we bring in the big boy." Machia laughs like a maniacal madwoman.

"Okay, that was a lot easier than I thought." Cole said nudging a piece of armour with his foot. "Awesome work, everyone." Lloyd commented.

"Yes, but you must know that... We have another concern." Wu warned his students. "Oh no. I do not like where this is headed." Jay whined after hearing the tone in Wu's voice.

The remains of the Vermillion then merge into a larger humanoid figure and both Kai and Nya were tossed aside.

"Hey, Nya, do you remember our old babysitter, Mrs Grumbmiller?" Kai asks his sister.

"The mean one with the mole on her-" Nya said thinking back. "Yeah. Do you remember what we used to do when she made us go to bed early?" Kai cutting Nya off.

"Of course." Nya exclaims as Jay, Cole, Zane, and Lloyd are knocked off their feet with the "big boy" towering over Lloyd.

"Hey, you!" Nya charges in complaining. "It's not my bedtime! Because I've still got plenty of energy. But it's lights out for you." Nya declared. The Master of Water leaps over the Vermillion towards the edge of the floating island, and Kai ducks at the Vermillion's tail, causing it to flip and fall off the island.

"Oh, man! Whatever they paid Mrs Grubmiller wasn't nearly enough!" Jay commented with a chuckle.

"Come on. We can use Destiny's Bounty to fly above all this and get a good view of the other's position." Nya proposed as a plan. But the warriors from below start to launch rocks at the Bounty.

The Ninjas watch with dismay as Destiny's Bounty 2.0 sinks to the ground from the overwhelming force and is destroyed. "Oh, no." Cole cried out. "What? No, no, no." Jay shouts. "Or not." Nya says quietly to herself.

"Overwhelming force. Do not stop until the mission is complete." Machia reports with a vicious smile plastered across her face.

At that moment Ed was sowing his son's beloved teddy bear back together and Edna was preparing more tea for Wu. When a Vermillion egg smashes into the kitchen, revealing an armed Vermillion.

"Oh, hello. Tea?" Ed offers to the armed Vermillion. The inventor not even looking up from his stuffed animal surgery. He was doing an amazing job if he does says so himself.

And Edna greeted the armed Vermillion by throwing the newly boiled pot of tea at the Vermillion.

Outside more Vermillion form around the Temple of Airjitzu, preparing to launch another attack on the Ninjas new headquarters.

"We have to go on the offensive. They're bringing everything up here, which means we have to go down there and take out their equipment." Lloyd commanded.

"But how?" Jay asks. "Like this." Lloyd states summoning his Energy Dragon.

"Lloyd, I really don't think going down there's a good idea." Kai warned the green ninja. Nevertheless, Lloyd continues his way down below, leaving the rest of the Ninjas to fight off the Vermillion at the temple.

While flying down, Lloyd limits the Vermillion by slicing the Vermillion eggs in midair before they could reach the temple and quickly flips over the catapults. One egg flies by and Lloyd's dragon shoots fire at it but unfortunately causes the swords inside to plummet down.

Lloyd avoids them, leaving the swords to impale themselves at where Krux, Acronix, Machia, Raggmunk and Blunck stand.

"The Ninjas are not the only ones with airpower." Machia comments. "Sky team, go!" Machia commanded.

As the Vermillion sky team make their way towards Lloyd a Vermillion appears beside him, spooking Lloyd and causing him to lose control of his Dragon causing it to disappear.

Kai summons his own dragon to rescue Lloyd. "I've got this. Faster. Faster. Oh, no. He's too far!" Kai cried out in fear.

However, the flying Vermillion caused such a fuss, and by the time Kai defeated them all, Lloyd was already too far.

But surprisingly, Nya's missing Samurai X suit reappears, Samurai X dives in and rescues Lloyd before he could fall into enemy hands.

"What is taking so long?" Krux demanded. "A mere setback. A good general changes her strategy to reflect the conditions on the ground. A great one uses every weapon at hand." Machia says with a long hiss.

"Samurai X just saved Lloyd's life." Cole shouts in disbelief. "Whoo-hoo! All right! That was..."Jay cheered. "...highly illogical." Zane said cutting Jay off.

Nya spots her missing Samurai X suit just as Lloyd is set back on the ground, and throws a full rage at the imposter for stealing her suit.

"Hey, you! Suit thief! You owe me an explanation! I have a right to know who you are! Tell me!" Nya continues to scream. The Samurai pays Nya no mind and blasts off the temple's island, but Nya continues to rage that whoever it was, stole her suit.

"Well, Samurai, whoever you are, thank you." Lloyd said, thanking them for saving his life. Suddenly, a spiked ball fired from the Vermillion catapults struck the Samurai. "No!" The Ninjas shout with dismay as the suit plummeted far down below.

"Ninja!" Wu cries out to his students. A remaining warrior corners Wu with the Time Blade and he knocks it out of his hand and prepares to strike the ailing master. But Cole arrives just in time to use the blade, slowing the Vermillion down and allowing Zane to finish him off.

As Wu collapses, Kai supports him. "Thank you, Kai." Wu said. "You're welcome. Now please, Master. Tell me about the marking. What does it mean?" Kai pleaded with the older man to tell him about the marking on the Vermillion helmet.

"Ah. Yes, of course. Your father-" Wu tried to explain but was cut off. Before Wu could answer, Krux and Acronix arrive wearing the Vermillion's sky team armour. "Time is up." Time Twins declare.

"The Hands of Time." Lloyd snarled in disgust. "Get 'em." Cole yells. While Kai stays behind with Wu, the rest of the Ninjas charge at the Time Twins.

"All we need are a few moments, brother." Acronix said. "Indeed." Krux said.

The Time Twins, however, use the Forward Time Blade to teleport in front of Kai and Wu and knock them both off their feet.

"Goodbye." Acronix says as he comes in for an attack on Wu with the Forward Time Blade, Master Wu!" Cole shouts, throwing him the Slow-Mo Blade. And Wu uses it to defend himself.

"Lucky old man. But your luck is finally about to run out." Acronix said. Wu quickly uses it to slow Acronix down, and Wu knocks the Forward blade out of his hand, allowing Krux to gain a hold of it.

"I am too weak to fight. Restraint with this weapon. But careful, Kai." Wu said. Wu gives the Slow-Mo Blade to Kai, who immediately engages in battle with Krux.

Acronix's Slow-Mo time bubble bursts and he spots a katana lying on the floor. But Lloyd and Jay got in between them.

"Not so fast!" Lloyd declares. "Well, look at this. A child pretending to be a big, brave hero." Acronix scoffs at Lloyd.

"Underestimating my fighting skills is a mistake." Lloyd warned. "Says the boy who fell off his Dragon." Acronix teases. "What's the matter? Oh, I get it. (Y/N) isn't around to fight your battles for you anymore."

Jay and Lloyd attack Acronix, with Lloyd warning Zane, Cole and Nya of the oncoming Vermillion. "Look out." Lloyd shouts. The trio easily defeats them, with Zane using his power of Ice to cause them to slip off the temple's edge.

Meanwhile, Ed and Edna defeat their Vermillion opponents, soon releasing those outside needed their help.

(Third Person P.O.V)

____ Ninjago ____

The Ninjas move in to help attack the Time Twins, Cole using his scythe and knocking everyone to the ground.

"Kai!" Lloyd shouts. Ordering Kai to give him the Slow-Mo Time Blade. Kai gives him the Blade. And Lloyd soon as he squares off with Krux.

The two lock weapons with each other. "Yield, boy. Ninjago shall be ours." Krux taunts Lloyd.

"No. I won't give up!" Lloyd retorts, spinning Krux and sending him falling on top of his brother, losing his grip on the Forward Blade.

Cole quickly retrieves it and hands it to Lloyd. "Sorry, but it's gonna be pretty hard to control Ninjago when you have absolutely none of the Time Blades." Lloyd said. The Ninjas then celebrate, believing that they had won the battle.

"Do not be blinded by pride, Ninja. Now is the time for the greatest vigilance. Ninja, look out!" Wu calls out to them. But it is too late Machia flies in and snatches both Time Blades off Lloyd, landing next to Time Twins.

"Oh, no." Jay said. "Oh, yes." Machia says as she slows them down. "As I promised, the Time Blades are yours to keep." Machia says returning them to their rightful owners.

"Brilliantly executed, Machia. Forward. We are wasting precious time." Krux said. "Indeed. And let's also take him." Acronix states and they board a Vermillion airship. Ed and Edna arrive outside just as the airship takes flight.

"Thank you for your hospitality." Machia says mocking them as they leave.

The time bubble pops and the Ninjas are freed. "All that fighting...just so we could end up losing everything. Master Wu, both Time Blades..." Kai sadly admits.

"The Destiny's Bounty and our Temple." Cole bemoaned. Taking stock of everything they had just lost. Master Wu, both Time Blades, the Destiny's Bounty 2.0 even their new temple.

"They beat us. They won." Jay sighs in defeat. "Even Samurai X has been destroyed." Zane sadly states. Nya stares down at the wreckage of Samurai X, convincing herself that maybe it wasn't destroyed. "Maybe not." Nya said.

"They didn't win." Lloyd declares. All the Ninja turn their focus to Lloyd.

"We lost because we got overconfident. We've got to regroup. They're gonna pay." Lloyd declares in his frustration Lloyd kicks a Vermillion helmet out of his way, the metal helmet landing at Kai's feet, who picks it up and stares at the marking.

He is pulled into a flashback, taking place at a very cluttered blacksmiths workshop, a gong hanging on the wall with the same marking. Kai is shocked at this newly gained information.

"The marking... this changes everything." Kai said to himself as he glared at the markings.
