Kai sat at the table drumming his fingers on the helmet as his sister calmed down from having her Samurai X gear stolen.

Jay was hovering over Zane trying to figure out what was wrong with their teammate. "Anything?" Cole asked Jay. Jay let out a bitter sigh. "All I got left is trying a total system reboot." Jay said as Zane suddenly twitches and stands up.

"Jay!" Zane said leaping off the table. "Oh, I'm so glad you're-" Jay said with a hopeful tone, only to be cut off and that hope turns into despair as Zane walks away from his table loudly proclaiming. "That potato was a flange. A narwhal horn is too red as weather is greater than pudding. Fifty sheet auto doc feeder."

"Okay, Zane. Take it easy. That's it." Jay said as he and Cole bring Zane back to the table.

"Banana curtain nine." Zane says and Jay let out a sad sigh. "Oh, come on! I've tried everything. What is going on in there?" Jay pleaded with the universe.

"Hello? Hot dog rainy day in seven." Zane announced. "Okay, maybe what you need is a new binary power core! I'll be right back." Jay said running off to find one.

"Plate! Show! Clipboard!" Zane said watching Jay leave.

"Any word from Lloyd yet?" Cole asked Kai. Kai let out a sigh. He wasn't looking forward to this. "He'll be here soon." Kai said with another heavy sigh. "Kai? You okay? You haven't been the same since you squared off against Krux. Did...did he do something?" Cole asked with concern.

"More like said something." Kai said with a bitter sigh. "I'm waiting for Lloyd to get here before I say anything."

"How bad?" Cole asked. "It... It involves (Y/N)." Kai admitted. Cole bites his lip. "Yeah, this isn't going to be pleasant is it?" Cole stated. Kai shook his head no. "Oh, boy." Cole said aloud.

(Third Person P.O.V)

Meanwhile, all the metal in Ninjago was disappearing in the blink of an eye.

"Huh?" A Garbage Man says as he tries to look for his trash can lid. He turns around and sees the trash can is gone.

"Aw, come on. Jimmy! You ain't gonna believe-" The Garbage Man turns around again to discover his truck disappeared along with Jimmy.

"Jimmy?" The Garbage Man asks in a timid tone.

Dareth looks at his trophy shelf, but there aren't any trophies.

"Aah! My trophies! Why would someone steal them? Why? Why!?" Dareth cried and fell to his knees.

A citizen calls another person on his phone. "Hey, hey! Just calling to tell you that I'm walking to the coffee shop now!" Man #1 said.

"Cool! I'll see you there!" Man #2 said revealing that they are walking next to each other.

"Hello? Hello? Hm, no bars. What's going on?" Man #1 said not hearing anything through his phone.

"Can you hear me now? Now? Aah!" Man #2 said also not hearing any reply through the phone.

"The cell tower is down!" Man #1 shouted in horror and causing everyone in the vicinity to start screaming.

Raggmunk and Blunck watch over Ninjago as the people start losing their minds and a convoy of supplies and prisoners were being moved through the city.

"Yes! Soon we will have all the metal we need courtesy of the Vermillion Samurai Warriors." Raggmunk proudly declared.

"Really?" Blunck said in disbelief. "What?" Raggmunk demanded. "All the metal? Like, that's it? Finito?" Blunck continued to pry.

"Yeah, why?" Raggmunk said, getting angrier. "Nothing. Nothing. It's...fine." Blunck said. "Acronix and Krux signed off on it?" Blunck questioned.

"Oh, who cares? Now let me concentrate!" Raggmunk shouted and communicated with the hive mind. "Increase Operation Heavy Metal!"

"Really? That's the name you're-" Blunck said. "Oh, it doesn't matter!" Raggmunk loudly yelled at Blunck.

Dareth runs screaming all the way to Ronin's shop."Someone stole all my trophies!" Dareth shouted as he burst through the door.

"I have an alibi!" Ronin shouted, holding his arms up in the air. "Wait? Why would anyone steal your trophies?" Ronin said as Dareth walked inside and up to the counter.

"I know! Which is why I'm here to buy replacements. Again!" Dareth said with an annoyed huff. Ronin snorted. "How many times have you had those things destroyed anyway." Ronin asked out of curiosity.

Dareth starts counting on his fingers. "Let's see, The ninja, that wrecking ball, the ninja, one of my students, the ninja... Um, that earthquake, the ninja... You know what. It doesn't matter. It just makes my heart hurt thinking about it. I just need the replacements." Dareth said giving up on counting.

"So what need? Off the top of my head, I've got world championships, intercontinental, tri-county, local, participants, perpetual." Ronin said listing what he had in stock.

"Uh, um, let's mix and match?" Dareth said with a shrug.

"One sec." Ronin said and went to get a trophy but saw two Vermillion Samurai rummaging in his shop.

"Uh, they're not with me." Dareth said before he catches sight of more Vermillion Samurai outside. All carrying various metal objects. Including his trophies.

"Hey, those are my trophies! Give them back!" Dareth shouted as he ran outside to take them back from the snakes, but Ronin summoned his Salvage M.E.C. and used it to escape dragging an enraged Dareth with him to safety.

(Third Person P.O.V)

____ Ninjago ____

"Master Wu still hasn't recovered from his battle with Acronix. He rambles. He passes out. I think he's a lot more hurt than he lets on." Lloyd informed the team.

"Oh, great! All this and now we have no leader, either?" Kai stated.

"Uh, that's not exactly true. Ahem! With Wu out of commission, the, um... logical successor would be, uh..." Lloyd said awkwardly.

"The Green Ninja." Cole said, rolling his eyes. "Correct." Lloyd said nervously rubbing the back of his neck.

"Uh, Master Lloyd?" Cole said, testing out the phrase. "Temporary Master Lloyd, you mean." Kai said, correcting Cole. "...in Training." Jay adds.

"Okay, Temporary Master Lloyd in Training, we mere Ninja await your words of wisdom. Which I assume involve kicking some butt till we get a few answers. Right?" Cole says in a mocking tone before he and Jay cheer and run past him.

"Wrong. Too random. We need a plan." Lloyd called after them.

"We have one. Go kick some butt." Cole proudly stated with confidence. "Really? Who's butt? Where?" Lloyd said, pointing out the flaws in their plan.

"We'll work it out, out there." Cole said pointing at the exit behind him. "No. We'll work it out here first. That's what Wu would do. Come on!" Lloyd declared vetoing their decision.

"Oh, yay, I just love sitting around and talking instead of doing." Cole grumbled taking a set. In the background, the Salvage M.E.C. comes in for a landing completely unnoticed by the ninja.

"Um... Now that Lloyd's here. I have some worse news." Kai says, taking a deep breath. "The time twins made contact with (Y/N)."

"What!?" The others shouted at Kai.

"It gets worse. They talked to her and she's agreed to not get involved as long as they don't interfere with her hunting down Eris' killer or killers." Kai informed them.

"Oh perfect!" Cole says slamming his glowing fist on the table and causing a small earthquake in response.

"That's it! I'm calling her!" Jay shouted, pulling out his phone. He tries to call her, but with the cell tower gone, the call wouldn't go through.

"Yeah, that's not going to work." Ronin said stepping inside the Samurai X cave. Dragging a huffing and puffing Dareth. "We already tried. Cell tower's down."

"What are you two doing here?" Nya demanded. "Ronin did you steal my Samurai X gear!"

"I have an alibi!" Ronin shouted, holding his arms up in the air. "Wait? Sorry. Force of habit." Ronin apologised. "But no. It wasn't me. Oh, and the city's under attack." Ronin informed them.

"Yes!" Jay, Cole and Kai shouted in excitement. Ronin and Dareth give them a shared appalled look. The three immediately change their tune.

"Oh, I mean, that's horrible." Jay said, clearing his throat. "Terrible." Kai agreed. "The worst." Cole added.

"Yeah, there's a bunch of Samurai and snakes stealing every piece of metal they can find." Ronin informed them. "They took my trophies. My trophies!" Dareth shouted in rage.

"I was planning on hiding out here with Dareth but you guys seemed to have already claimed this hiddy-hole." Ronin pointed out.

"Why here?" Nya demanded. "Honestly we thought you lot would be at your new floating castle or whatever. This seemed the best place to hide seeing as only a few people know about it." Ronin admitted.

"Wait. Who else knows about my Samurai X cave?" Nya demanded. "Besides the obvious or..." Ronin said rolling his hand in the air for more of an explanation.

"Nya. Worry about that later." Cole said cutting off any argument before it could start. "Any sign of Krux or Acronix?" Cole asked Ronin.

"Who?" Ronin responded. "Doesn't matter. Let's go!" Cole ordered. "W-wait. This doesn't make sense. Why are they after metal?" Lloyd said, trying to stop them.

"We can ask as we pummel them." Jay said. "No. It might be a diversion so they can finish off Master Wu." Lloyd pointed out. "We can't just ignore the damage they're doing." Cole said.

"Nor that they have my trophies." Dareth said. "Dareth for the last time, you don't have your helmet on you and Ninjago is crawling with snakes." Ronin said in clear frustration.

"I'm not leaving Master Wu unprotected again. We're going back to the temple." Lloyd ordered.

"And we're ignoring that order." Cole said. Everyone starts leaving Nya dragging a glitching Zane with her.

"So...?" Ronin said with a long pause.

"Just do whatever you want." Lloyd said with a bitter sigh as he left to oversee his uncle's care.

"All right Dareth, back in the Salvage M.E.C." Ronin sighed. "We're fighting some snakes." "Vengeance will be mine!" Dareth shouted as he ran back to the Salvage M.E.C.

(Third Person P.O.V)

The Vermillion Samurai were travelling the sewers. Acronix and Krux guiding them.

"All these tunnels under the city look the same, huh? Pretty confusion, I'll bet." Acronix said in a mocking tone.

"It's a secret lair. It's supposed to be hard to find." Krux growled in return.

"Yeah, but not for us." Acronix pointed out with a wide grin. "I'll figure it out in a second." Krux stated.

"Oh, get with the time, brother. My new BorgWatch has built-in GPS, the, uh..." Acronix stopped speaking.

"What's wrong?" Krux said, suspicious of his brother's sudden silence.

"Um...nothing." Acronix lied. "Just respecting your feelings about tradition and-" Krux pears over his brother's shoulder to look at Acronix's BorgWatch. "No service. That's why I don't get with the times. The old ways are still superior. Follow me!" Krux said a trumpet smirk.

"I hope things are going this well topside." Acronix said looking up at the grime-covered ceiling.

(Third Person P.O.V)

Raggmunk and Blunck were happily watching from the rooftops as more metal was being stolen from a nearby construction site.

"Yes! Operation Heavy Metal's so good the Ninjas don't even know what's up. Nothing will stop us!" Raggmunk loudly declared.

Blunck spy's the Ninjas pulling up to the construction site through the telescope. "Way to jinx it." Blunck hissed at Raggmunk.

"So, does anyone have a plan?" Jay said as they leapt out of their vehicles. "Welcome to Ninjago!" Nya said with a laugh.

"Let's go!" Kai shouts as they start to climb the scaffolding. "Last one up is a rotten Ninja." Jay declared in a childish tone.

"Clear off as many snakes as you can!" Kai said orders just as the Salvage M.E.C lands.

"Wow! Total snake invasion!" Ronin said watching it rain snakes. "Brown Ninja vengeance!" Dareth screams as he charges into battle. "And he's really mad about those trophies." Ronin snickered as he leapt out of the cockpit.

The surrounding Vermillion Samurai respond by charging at Dareth, who jumps up into the air only to slam a punch into the face of an incoming Vermillion Samurai knocking them off their feet.

Dareth charges at another Vermillion Samurai performing a somersault kick on his first opponent. He then turns around and uppercuts a Vermillion Samurai coming up from behind, following it up with a spinning kick that sends another two tumbling away into a pile of snakes and armour.

Several more Vermillion Samurai approach. One attempts to swing at him but is promptly blocked and delivers an uppercut. Dareth then swings around under the samurai's arm and delivers a powerful punch. This is followed by a spin kick, punches, and kicks him again, with the final hit sending him flying backwards into a pillar. As more snakes and armour rain down from above.

Kai defeats some snakes by using the pulley system as a swinging rope and attacking them from the sky. "Why am I so good? It's a curse, really." Kai gloated to himself.

The snakes regenerated into a larger snake the same size as the giant one Nya had fought in the museum. "Oh, great." Kai complains. The shaking of the scaffolding as the giant climbed causes Kai to slip. The Master of Fire falls, but Nya catches him.

"Thanks! How's Zane?" Kai asks as Nya pulls him back up. "He's, uh..." Nya said looking down at Zane.

"Avocados are not vegetables! Fifty-three, eleven!" Zane said as he continues to short circuit.

"Uh, we're still working out some kinks." Nya admitted as she pulled her brother to safety.

The defeated Vermillion regenerated into an even larger snake. "Igmillion! Spleen sauce, cow box!" Zane blurts out and Ronin shields him from any oncoming attack from this abomination.

Dareth turns around to see a Vermillion Samurai charge and swing at him. He promptly blocks the blow and punches the pile of snakes in the chin, stunning them and allowing him to follow up with a flurry of blows that conclude with an uppercut.

Dareth then accidentally kicks Ronin. "Aah, my leg! I think you broke it!" Ronin cried out in pain. Dareth then delivers a final punch that sends the samurai flying back. It's helmet rolling away as it becomes just another pile of armour and red snakes.

"Gotta get more snakes!" Dareth declared not releasing that he'd just attacked his friend in the heat of battle.

"No! They failed! And we haven't collected nearly enough metal yet." Blunck cried out in despair.

"No, you haven't." Machia said coming up from behind them causing the pair to jump.

"Uh, was she here the whole time?" Raggmunk whispered in fear.

"Your plan didn't just have a stupid name. It was also a stupid idea. So now, it's my turn. Commence with Operation Blackout. That should buy the time you'll need to collect more metal. Assuming you don't mess that up as you did this." Machia announced.

"Operation Blackout. Good name." Blunck said, agreeing with the name.

(Third Person P.O.V)

____ Ninjago ____

(Y/N) was busy researching through a bunch of scrolls when the power goes out at Chen's Noodle House. "Oh come on." (Y/N) hissed and reached into her satchel pulling out an oil lamp and a box of matches.

"The electricity may be out but the gas still works." Skylor informed her customers. Whom all let out a sigh of relief that they could still get something to eat.

"Wow! Look at all those snakes." Master Chen said looking out the window of his daughter's restaurant.

"You're seriously not going to do anything about this?" Master Chen said, turning his attention back inside the restaurant.

"Nope." (Y/N) said. "Why?" Master Chen asked. "I gave my word I wouldn't interfere. As long as they didn't interfere with me." (Y/N) answered. "Seriously? That's all it takes?" Master Chen asked in astonishment.

"Don't! Even think about it, dad!" Skylor scolded her father. as she brought over some warm noodle soup to (Y/N)'s table.

"Daddy is behaving himself, Skylor." Master Chen quickly stated as Skylor set the bowl down.

"So that's why haven't they come in here?" Skylor asked, nodding her head towards the roaming bands of Samurai outside. (Y/N) just shrugged. "Don't see how'd they'd know I'd be here." (Y/N) said pointing out the flaw in Skylor's logic.

"Hmmm." Skylor mumbled as she thought to herself. "So how did they get this whole no interference clause into your little agreement?" Master Chen said with curiosity in his voice.

"Daddy. Don't!" Skylor warned. "Daddy's just curious. Plus no tv." Master Chen pointed out. Skylor looked over at the t.v and sighed. "Fair enough."

Skylor then turned back to (Y/N). "Well, might as well tell him."

"Krux and Acronix are the Masters of Time, who had their powers stolen by the Elemental Masters of their time." (Y/N) explained while eating some noodles.

"Wait? I thought they were dead?" Master Chen said. "Nope. Just lost in time. And just got back." (Y/N) stated looking out the window at some samurai crossing the street. "With a serpent army to back them up, it seems."

"I don't get it. How does that equate to you not turning them into a greasy smear on the ground?" Master Chen questioned.

"They knew Eris." Morro called out from the table to (Y/N)'s right. The Ghosts were at one table. Ghoultar was stuffing his face full of Puffy Potsticker. Soul Archer and Bansha watching him with disgust. Wrayth on the other hand was cheering him on.

And the Sky Pirates were seated at the table next to them. Flintlocke and Dogshank were sharing a delightful couples meal together. Clancee enjoying a large bowl of soup and Doubloon was sipping a drink through a straw with Monkey Wretch sitting on his shoulder.

"Eris' murder. You fool." Soul Archer called out. There was a flash of realisation on Chen's face once he put that together.

"I can vouch for a fact that Skylor's mother had nothing to do with that!" Master Chen quickly commented.

"I know." (Y/N) mentioned taking another mouthful of noodles.

"Relax Chen." Morro snorted. "Your daughter has nothing to fear from (Y/N) as long as she doesn't get in her way or betray her in any way." Morro explained to the worried ghost.

"Oh... Ok then." Master Chen said floating away from the store window.

"Yeah, look at what happened to Cyrus Borg." Morro chuckled as he returned to his plate of fresh pork buns.

"What is that supposed to mean?" Skylor demanded. "He betrayed (Y/N) by hiding the realm crystal's existence from her and now he's missing, rumour is he's been kidnapped." Morro stated in a manner of fact tone.

"So has half the city." Skylor pointed out. "Yet nothing bad has happened to us or the Serpentine. Tell me what is the probability of that?" Morro countered.

"They're snakes and you're ghosts." Skylor remarked as she returned to her work.

(Third Person P.O.V)

When the ninja arrived minus Dareth and Ronin thanks to Ronin's broken leg and Dareth taking him to the hospital. They were surprised to see Lloyd waiting for them.

"What took you so long?" Lloyd said with a chuckle as the others came to a stop.

"We were-Hey, how'd you know those whatever-they-are's would be coming here?" Jay questioned him.

"When all the power went out, I assumed they must be at the source." Lloyd said, explaining his reasoning.

"You figured that out yourself? Nice." Kai said. "We had to follow them."

"I should have been following them with you guys from the beginning. I'm sorry." Lloyd apologised.

"Yeah, yeah, so are we. So what's the plan, Temporary Master Lloyd?" Jay said. "In training." Kai added.

"Hehe." Lloyd chuckled. He kind of deserved that little dig. "We go in there and kick some snake butt. Or whatever passes for a snake's butt. Like it?" Lloyd said with a chuckle.

"I love it!" Jay said. "Yeah. That's a great plan." Cole said. "The treadmill was invented in one thousand eight hundred eighteen." Zane said.

"All right, snakes, time to-where are they? The place looks empty." Jay said looking around for a target.

"Zane, you detecting any snakes?" Lloyd said. "Cranberries. Corkscrew. Squab." Zane responded. Lloyd looked to Nya. "Multiple contacts. Six meters in. Uh, after a while, you start to pick up on the meaning." Nya translated.

The Ninja all looked at her with a confused look. "You get the gist of what he's saying after a while."

Many deformed Vermillion appear made out of nearby office objects to replace their missing parts.

"That's a bunch of Office Warriors! Literally!" Jay shouted at the sight.

"Okay, let's do this! All of us!" Lloyd said. "All of us?" Nya said pointing to Zane walking into a wall.

"Oh, right. Zane, stay here." Lloyd said. "Newt." Zane responded glitching slightly as he did.

"Ninja, go!" Ninja shouted, sweeping down the oncoming swarms with spinjitzu.

"You don't look so big." Cole taunted a mismatched pile limping towards him. The pile reforms to almost roof high and snarled at the Master of Earth. "And now you do." Cole squeaked.

"A desk is no good without a chair. Have a seat!" Nya shouted, tossing a chair at a pile of serpents that had consumed a table for its midsection.

The pile simply swallows the chair adding it to its mass. "Aw, come on!" Nya whined as she lept out of the way of its attack. Lloyd comes spinning past mopping them up.

"I hate not having a full team. We could really use Zane's help." Lloyd said.

"Right now he basically has one move." Nya informed Lloyd. "Short himself out with a massive blast of power. It creates a magnetic field that yanks off their armour."

"Those turbines. They're basically big rotating electromagnets, right?" Lloyd asked. "Yeah. Basically." Nya said. "So if Zane were to hook indirectly and supercharge one of them, all this metal armour the snakes have-" Lloyd said. "I'm on it. Zane, I need you!" Nya called out for her teammate.

"Hog knock!" Zane responded as Nya shoved him towards the turbines.

"We have to buy Nya and Zane a little time!" Lloyd instructed the others.

The other hold the line as Nya attaches Zane to the turbines. "Got it! Now, Zane. Now!" Nya shouted the signal.

"Gargle my pudding! Gargle my pudding!" Zane responded, not able to receive enough energy.

"We need more juice!" Nya shouted. "Jay!" Lloyd yelled. "On it!" Jay declared electrocuting the turbines. And giving them a serious power boost.

It attracted all the metal and armour the snakes were using to hold their forms. Leaving them formless.

"Boo!" Kai shouted. And the red and larger orange snakes quickly slither away.

"That's right. Slither away! Hahaha! Way to go, Nya!" Kai yelled in triumph. "It was Lloyd's plan." Nya said. "Way to go, Master Lloyd!" Jay said patting the green ninja on the back.

"Yeah, you forgot the 'temporary in training' part." Lloyd pointed out. "I know. Don't let it go to your head." Jay commented with a laugh.

"Uh, not to ruin the feel-goods, but maybe we should save the celebrating for after we get the power and Zane back on?" Cole said.

Nya was already on it all she needed to do was flip a few more switches and pull this leave. "One more switch and..." Nya said and the power goes back on.

"Well, we know civilization has been restored. TV is working again." Jay said with a laugh.

Zane began twitching a shorting before stabilising. "Hello, everyone. What have I missed?" Zane asked having properly come back online.

"Oh, not much. Missing people and snakes trying to steal your metal skin. But we kicked their butts... if they have butts. It's still an open question. But for now, it's game over." Jay said with pride.

"Uh, I'm not so sure about that." Kai said pointing at the TVs mounted on the walls.

(Gayle On TV) *Snakes are attacking Monster Amusement Park. They appear to be after anything metal that isn't nailed down, including the nails themselves!*

"Ninja, we're leaving." Lloyd ordered and they wasted no time heading to their vehicles.

"Nya, when this is all over, there's something I need to tell you. Something important." Kai informed her before they can leave. "Okay, big brother." Nya said understanding the importance of the tone in Kai's voice.

"An amusement park, really? Do these guys hate fun?" Cole said with a laugh. "Nah. More like they love metal." Lloyd stated. "Agreed. I cannot think of a better place to steal it from." Zane said joining in. "Now let's roll. I've got a Samurai X suit to get back." Nya declared.

"Wait!" Jay shouted but they had already left. Jay jumps into his vehicle and speeds toward his parents' junkyard. "There is a better place. A scrapyard. Like the one that belongs... to my parents!" Jay panicked.
