(Third Person P.O.V)

__ Nexo Knights __

The revelry was short-lived however as a mighty and familiar roar of the undead dragon cut through the celebration.

"Oh no. Not again." Lloyd whined as he was snatched up in Nidhogg's claws. Sensei Wu managed to duck this time and successfully avoided being snatched up.

The crowd watched as Nidhogg took to the skies with Lloyd cages in its claws heading straight for its roost.

Everyone silently turned and looked at (Y/N). "I get it. I'll go yell at him." (Y/N) grumbled out loud at everyone before they could say anything then proceeded to storm off towards the location of Nidhogg's roost.

(Third Person P.O.V)

__ Nexo Knights __

Peeking through the Dragon's claws Lloyd saw that they were headed for a cave on the mountainside that overlooked the dark tower. Lloyd felt a sinking in his stomach, wondering if the dragon had simply brought him back to its roost because it preferred to eat in its den but Lloyd couldn't act on his dread. If he leapt from the dragon's claws he would surely die from the fall. So Lloyd's only hope was to let the dragon take him where it pleased for now.

Nidhogg slid to an awkward one-legged halt in the entrance of the cave. Lloyd wincing as he was jolted forward from the stop then lifted his head once more to look into the cave. It was mostly too dark to see but Lloyd could tell that the cavern opened up into a wider cave ahead just from the echo of the dragon's breath.

Nidhogg had its face close to Lloyd, his slitted pupils blown wide as it breathed short, hot breaths through its nose that washed over Lloyd's form.

Nidhogg opened its mouth and Lloyd flinched in fear but the motion was too gentle to be an attempt to eat him and the green ninja relaxed just slightly. His suspicions were confirmed when the beast got its teeth just barely into the back of his gi and gently lifted him out of it's claw.

Lloyd let out an involuntary. "Eeep!" As he was pulled away. The weight of his body slumping uncomfortably into his gi so much so that Lloyd had to reach up to get his hands under his collar to keep his gi from choking him.

"Wh-what are you...?" Lloyd started to ask as Nidhogg began to walk forward into the darkness.

With a disappointed sigh. Lloyd watched curiously as Nidhogg carried him into the cavern. Lloyd's eyes adjusted slightly and he could make out a large pile of stuff in the middle of the room.

It appeared to be part treasure horde and part nest with rows and rows of gold and jewellery, even random furniture amongst straw, sticks and logs piled up around the outer edge. And inside the mass were all sorts of blankets, pillows, pelts and all manner of soft-looking items in the centre which dipped in the middle to create a massive nest capable of containing even the giant form of a dragon.

Lloyd hummed curiously and leaned sideways to get a better look at all of the things in the treasure horde/nest when Nidhogg started to move again. Nidhogg stepped carefully over the perimeter and into the central nest where it placed Lloyd down and started to nudge the boy as if trying to get Lloyd to the side for a moment.

"U-um." Lloyd started once he realised that Nidhogg was staring down at him and Lloyd gulped the reality of the situation setting in.

"W-why did you bring me here? Are... Are you going to eat me?" Lloyd asked slightly worried sure it was a dragon 'was' being the operative word in that sentence considering its undead status Nidhogg may not be like the other dragons Lloyd had known.

Nidhogg huffed as if annoyed and Lloyd could have sworn that it rolled its eyes but then it brought its face down inching closer to Lloyd.

"Ah–" Lloyd squeaked flinched away but then the green ninja felt the dragon's snout simply touch him moving gently to rub Lloyd as if nuzzling him. Lloyd gulped as he tried to calm down and understand what was happening.

"What is this?" He asked quietly while carefully putting a hand on the dragon's snout to try and push it gently away. "What are you doing?" Lloyd questioned. Nidhogg huffed again then flopped down onto the floor of its nest it's tail curling up around Lloyd as it pushed him closer to its chest.

Lloyd whined fearfully in the back of his throat but didn't move to escape, not wanting to anger the powerful undead beast. Slowly, the green ninja realised that the undead dragon was settling in to go to sleep with its tail around him and snout nuzzling into his hair. Nidhogg wanted Lloyd to sleep in its nest with it.

Confused Lloyd lay perfectly still against Nidhogg's warm underbelly trying to decipher why it wanted such a thing.

"What could it possibly gain from taking me back here and simply lying side by side with it?" Lloyd thought to himself but he couldn't see an answer that made sense. So instead he decided to wait. Surely the dragon would fall asleep eventually and then he would have his chance to at least try and escape, even if it did seem rather impossible.

Lloyd waited nervously in the soft, comfortable nest. Nidhogg curled up peacefully around him until Lloyd felt that surely the dragon must have fallen asleep and moved to get up.

Lloyd wasn't even halfway to sitting up when Nidhogg opened one eye and glared down at him and a deep rumble came from its chest.

"Sorry!" Lloyd yelped flopping back down onto the nest. The rumble stopped but then the dragon moved it's tail so that it was actually pinning Lloyd down and not just loosely hanging over the boy.

Lloyd squirmed a bit worried that he was going to get crushed but the green ninja soon realised that the dragon wasn't actually crushing him just holding him in place.

Sighing in defeat Lloyd relaxed and decided once more to just do what the dragon wanted. Sleep.

At least it wasn't going to eat him it seemed. Lloyd thought to himself as he dozed off.

(Third Person P.O.V)

__ Nexo Knights __

With (Y/N) on her peerless track to Nidhogg's roost. The Serpentine took it upon themselves to chat.

Chokun, Lasha, Snappa and Mezmo were helping themselves to some intermission snacks that had been brought out by Chef Savage and his two waiters Poop and Deck.

Kai and Nya had to physically restrain Jay once he heard the sea monster's names to prevent the lightning ninja from making fun of their names.

"So do you think they have a game plan about how to find the guilty elemental master?" Lasha questioned Mezmo while nodding his head towards Queen Selma and Pythor.

"Don't know." Mezmo said taking a sip of his drink and watching the pair continue their hushed argument from across the courtyard. It was getting pretty heated by the look of it.

"I think the plan so far is get (Y/N) back to Ninjago." Chokun said walking back up to the pair with a plateful of food. "Anyone got any ideas who the guilty party is?" Snappa quietly whispered to his fellow serpentine.

"It could be any of them." Lasha answered honestly. "Think about it, they're all suspects. The metal one, the invisible one, the poison one, that wild one. Any one of them could be responsible." Lasha continued on going down the list of suspects.

"Except that white ninja, I guess. He technically doesn't qualify in the monster's eyes." Mezmo pointed out and nodded his head in the direction of Echo and Zane.

"Well, that is good for Echo. That guy would be crushed to lose that one." Chokun added to the conversation his fellow bandmates nodded in agreement.

"But guys seriously think about it." Lasha whined and getting the conversation back on track. "We saw some of the new elemental masters on Chen's island but not all of them. Some of the old elemental masters have been missing for years, without any trace. What if it's one of them?"

"Then (Y/N) will probably be forced to hunt them down." Snappa hissed back in a matter of fact tone. "Were you not paying attention?" Snappa added sarcastically.

"Yeah, but what if they're dead?" Lasha continued to explain. "I'm pretty sure that then their descendants are marked for death instead." Snappa hissed again this time rolling his eyes.

"But what if they don't have descendants?" Chokun asked after a minute. Mezmo let out a groan in annoyance; he could already feel a painful migraine coming on.

"Then let's all hope it was the ice one and leave it at that." Mezmo growled and went back to trying to soothe his oncoming headache.

The Siren of Seaguard cleared her throat as she took centre stage. Mezmo let out an even bigger groan of annoyance; he could definitely feel a migraine coming on.

(Third Person P.O.V)

__ Nexo Knights __

(Y/N) grumbled under her breath as she climbed up the side of the mountain. The Siren of Seaguard was entertaining everyone still back at the courtyard with her lovely singing voice. And her voice was carrying on the wind even high up this mountain.

"Stupid undead dragon!" (Y/N) growled in a tone one would use for scolding an idiotic best friend. "Going to kick your scaly ass." (Y/N) continued snarl and hurl insults as she made the perilous climb up the mountain.

(Y/N) held onto an edge as she felt around for a ledge below her making sure her feet were stable before she started to crouch keeping close to the wall and then moved her feet down to the next ledge once she got a grip on a small divot about halfway between a large rock and the ledge she got her footing on.

"Ahh!" (Y/N) screamed as the ledge gave way sending her sliding down the side of the mountain, her feet colliding suddenly with the large rock below her as she fell stopping her fall.

"Stupid dragon! Definitely kicking your scaly ass!" (Y/N) growled again as she hugged the side of the mountain in a desperate attempt to try and keep her weight balanced against it.

From this impromptu perch (Y/N) could feel the cold wind whipped past her face in cold, harsh blasts. Shaking from the cold (Y/N) curled up to the wall keeping her face close to the wall to shield it from the wind. "Cold, cold, cold! So cold!" (Y/N) said through chattering teeth.

(Y/N) opened her eyes again and craned her neck to look up. There it was. Carved into the cliffside the entrance to Nidhogg's roost. "You are in so much trouble!" She angrily hissed.

(Third Person P.O.V)

__ Nexo Knights __

Lavaria was not the usual loud and noisy. 'I am going to crush everything!' kind of monster. No, she was a sneaky kind of monster and therefore the chief spy of Jestro's army. She was a silent warrior who could steal anything. But none of that made this place any less creepy.

Lavaria shuttered as she walked through the dark halls. "Did they choose to live in the creepiest place in the Kingdom of Knighton." Lavaria hissed under her breath.

Some hushed yelling got the spy's attention. It was to of those serpent looking creatures. The large white one and the pink one.

Lavaria quickly took the form of a Berry Globlin to sneak past the bickering pair. "Why are you mad? Don't you want justice for our people?" Pythor snapped at Queen Selma.

Queen Selma was slightly offended but managed to scoff at the Anacondrai. "I do, but I'm not going to sacrifice our safe future or the future of any future Serpentine." Queen Selma hissed back.

"Oh, so that's it." Pythor hissed rather nastily. "You're protecting your family over your people. Grow up, Selma. You're a Queen. Your duty is to your people first." Pythor spat at the Queen of the Serpentine.

Lavaria rolled her eyes as she slipped past the arguing pair in her disguised form and down a separate hall and disappearing behind a large pair of doors at the end of the hall just in time to be missed being seen by Echo and Zane.

The Julien brothers were chatting away. "I'm so glad you are unharmed." Echo said giving Zane a tight squeeze. "I'm also glad you are unharmed as well." Zane said struggling against his little brother's grip. While Echo may not be as strong as his big brother he could still give a tight hug.

"You still have (Y/N)'s book?" Zane questioned in awe once he realised what the hard object poking him in the chest was.

"Oh, yes." Echo exclaimed as he let go of Zane. "It was what allowed her to hear us out." Echo explained with a wide grin on his copper face.

"Did that go well?" Zane asked with an awkward expression on his face. He didn't imagine that it went well at all. "It was difficult at first." Echo began. "But the rest of my bandmates helped prove to her that what we were say was the truth." Echo answered.

"It's so nice to have her back. Even if she doesn't remember. We're all hopeful that one day we will be able to create new memories together." Echo said with a warm smile.

"We have even all been having sleepovers in her new room. It was Hela's old room so it is still very creepy. So I've been making extra sure to be by her side when she rests. (Y/N) won't admit it but she even more scared of that room then we are and cuddles up close just to feel safe." Echo continued to prattle on.

"Oh... I'm glad it went well for you little brother." Zane said though a strained expression was on his face. "Zane? What's wrong?" Echo asked in concern as he watched his big brother rub at his chest right over where his power sauce was.

"I-I think I'm a little... Jealous?" Zane said still trying to figure out his feelings. "Hu? Jealous? Why?" Echo questioned, tilting his head slightly confused over what his brother has just said to him. "I'm not sure." Zane answered truthfully. "Maybe it is because you and your team have reconnected with (Y/N)?" Zane theorised while rubbing the back of his neck.

"Team? Oh, you mean my friends and bandmates. Yes, we've been doing our best to help (Y/N)." Echo chuckled. His big brother did have trouble understanding emotional things but it was cute to him watching his big brother stumble around the subject. It also made Echo feel better that even his big brother wasn't so perfect.

"Coming through!" Cole yelled at the top of his lungs. The brothers were forced to step aside as Cole came running past them with a plateful of cake. "Thanks." Cole shouted back at them as he continued run arms outstretched with the plateful of cake in front of him.

Zane shook his head at Cole antics and went back to speaking to Echo.

Cole continued to run as fast as his ghostly legs could carry him across the courtyard and down another hall. The master of earth wasn't giving up his prize. Not a chance.

Chef Savage, Poop and Deck all stuck their heads outside the kitchen to yell about a thieving no good ghost making off with one of the desserts before angrily slamming the doors to the kitchen shut as they went back inside.

Sparkks and Burnzie shared a look as the sea monster chef and his two waiters retreated back into their domain. Before turning to Whiparella and start whining at the snake-shaped whip wielder.

"Whiparella!?" Sparkks and Burnzie whined like tiny children to a parent. "Can't you do something about the ghost stealing desserts?" Sparkks complained with a loud whinny tone.

Whiparella turned at gave the pair a disgruntled look. "Why on earth do you two think I can do anything about a ghost?" Whiparella coldly demanded. It was Burnzie turn to answer. "Because you're a fear monster and ghost are scary." Burnzie offered as an explanation. Sparkks nodded along beside his best friend.

"Do I have to remind you two that you're monsters?" Whiparella hissed at the pair. "You're twice as scary as any old ghost."

"But if you want someone even scarier then yourselves to do the job, why not go ask that watery, scaly, old hag; The Siren of Seaguard." Whiparella commented rather snarkily as she gestured to the siren on stage prepare for her next song.

"What did you just call me!? You jealous, backbiting lava snake!" The Siren of Seaguard spat at Whiparella from the stage.

Sparkks and Burnzie stepped aside as Whiparella stormed on to the stage. And the catfight was on.

"Cover for me." Clay whispered to his team. "What? Why?" Macy demanded. "I'm going to go after that monster Queen." Clay whispered his plan to Macy. "What? No! I'm coming too." Macy furiously whispered back at Clay. "Macy that's not a good idea." Clay said nodding his head towards Macy's shield that had her mothers side of the family's crest on it. A red dragon.

Macy clenched her shield closet to her but relented. "Fine. I'll stay and make sure you're covered." Macy agreed Clay thanked her and slipped out once he had an opening.

The Book of Monsters cackled to himself as the Book Keeper feed him fistfuls of popcorn. "This is a great show ever!" The Book of Monsters continued to loudly cackle then paused once he realised that Jestro wasn't cackling along with side him. "Hu?" The Book of Monsters said and ordered the Book Keeper to turn him side to side to look for the demented jester. "Where's joke boy?" The Book of Monsters asked once he realised Jestro was nowhere in sight. The Book Keeper just shrugged in response.

(Third Person P.O.V)

__ Nexo Knights __

When Lloyd awoke he stirred slightly and kept his eyes closed thinking to himself how warm and comfortable his bed seemed. That was until he realised there was an odd pressure on his waist and he could feel breath on the back of his neck.

Startling into full consciousness Lloyd recalled the events of the previous few hours. He was still being held tightly by the undead dragon.

"U-um...?" Lloyd whispered and tried to back away not sure if he wanted to wake the undead dragon or let it continue sleeping while he looked for a way out.

He wasn't given time to make that decision. However, as his movements soon roused the undead dragon who looked down at him.

"Uh... hello?" Lloyd responded hesitantly still backing slightly away from the undead dragon.

"NIDHOGG!" (Y/N) shouted at the mighty beast from the outside of its treasure horde/nest.

Nidhogg whipped its head around looking around frantically until it caught the orangish eyes in the dark and stared back at them with its slitted eyes.

"YOU UNGRATEFUL OVERGROWN HANDBAG! DO YOU KNOW WHAT KIND OF TROUBLE YOU'VE JUST CAUSED ME!" (Y/N) proceeded to shout at the undead beast.

"This is perfect!" Lloyd thought to himself. "After (Y/N) rescues me, we'll have to climb all the way down the mountain together, we can talk with no one getting in the way, this is absolutely perfect!" Lost in his thoughts; Lloyd didn't realise that (Y/N) was walking up to and climbing over the treasure horde/nest to yell at Nidhogg some more.

"YOU OVERGROWN LIZARD! DO YOU KNOW HOW ANGRY EVERYONE AT ME IS BECAUSE OF WHAT YOU'VE DONE!?" (Y/N) continued to scream at Nidhogg. Nidhogg just looked on happily enjoying (Y/N)'s shouting at him. To something of Nidhogg's size, it was like a small child throwing a tantrum.

Nidhogg reached over the side of his nest and plucked the angry girl up in his teeth and tucked her into his nest alongside Lloyd.

"I'm starting to regret resurrecting you Nidhogg, I really am." (Y/N) said in a fed up and icy tone. Nidhogg simply grumbled and flopped his head back into the nest below itself.

Lloyd's heart was beating faster than ever before. "Was this an answer to his prayers?" Lloyd wondered to himself. But he soon gathered his senses enough to respond. Lloyd steeled himself with a deep breath and cleared his throat to get her attention before starting to talk to her.

"Um... Hi." Lloyd stuttered out. (Y/N) sighed rather annoyed but turned to look at Lloyd.

"Lloyd Montgomery Garmadon." Lloyd said introducing himself. "And don't worry, I already know yours." He said as his grin grew wider. (Y/N) rolled her eyes as the human smirked rather pleased with himself.
