____ Ninjago ____

Dareth stood there staring at Chaos. This was the last thing he was expecting to see when he arrived at Ouroboros.

He'd been tasked with bringing Sensei Wu, Lloyd's mum, some crazy lady, a guy in strange armour and Ronin with him.

Chaos huffed and glared at them. "How do we know we can trust them?" Chaos demanded never taking her gaze off the interlopers. Her glare was so intense that Dareth was pretty sure if a bird flew in front of her face it would have burst into flames.

"We're going to have to take that chance." Queen Selma informed her. Pythor stood behind Chaos joining in on staring Wu, Misako and Mistaké down. His eyes narrowed even further though.

"So this kid is a part of (Y/N)?" Dareth questioned trying to wrap his mind around what he'd just been told.

"Chaos why don't you and Pythor go play with Jormungand?" Queen Selma asked with a voice as sweet as she could possibly make it.

Pythor huffed turning away from Wu and Mistaké, anger seemingly coming off him in a cloud. Pythor lifted Chaos up over his shoulder before taking Chaos to see Jormungand.

Chaos mostly seemed to be giving off this... dangerous and unsettling aura and the dark glowing eyes weren't all that welcoming either.

"I don't like that Merlok with them and I don't like Mistaké lady either." Chaos whispered to Pythor.

"Merlok?" Pythor questioned looking back at Wu and Mistaké. "Are you talking about the human with the beard?" Pythor asked the little child. "Yes, he's evil and he will enslave us all!" Chaos screamed in the way only a child could do.

Everyone turned to look at Chaos and followed her dirty glare directed at Wu.

Wu just stood there like a deer in headlights unsure of how to respond to that. Echo flip through the pages of (Y/N)'s book, until he came across a specific page with a crude drawing, labelled Merlok.

"I think she talking about this." Echo said holding the open book out for everyone to see.

"Hm... I can see the resemblance." Mistaké admitted after looking at the drawing then back at Wu.

This caused Wu to immediately object only to be interrupted by Queen Selma. "It's the beard and the staff." Queen Selma informed Wu. "Also the weird hat." Robin pointed out the description on the drawing that was labelled weird hat.

"So that's why she never liked you." Ronin said out loud after getting a good eyeful of the drawing. "It's because you look like a bad guy from where she from. Though your shitty behaviour probably just reinforced that." Ronin mentioned offhandedly a sly smirk spreading across his face.

Wu pulled a horrified face at that comment from the thief turned bounty hunter while King Scales chuckled in the way only a husband trying not laugh could manage as Queen Selma tried to shush him only in the way a wife could.

"What? He's right." King Scales objected. "I know he's right." Queen Selma informed her husband in a hushed tone. "We're not trying to start a fight right now." Queen Selma hissed reminding him of why they were here.

(Third Person P.O.V)

____ Ninjago ____

Chaos stared deeply into Jormungand's eyes as the large, armoured purpled snake slithered up to inspect her.

"Big snake dragon." Chaos said out loud as she continued to stare up at Jormungand in childlike wonder.

"No (Y/N). This is Jormungand." Pythor corrected the girl. "Oh don't start that up again. I'm tired of explaining that." Chaos whined at the Anacondrai.

While Pythor and Chaos continued to bicker Jormungand took it upon herself to lick Chaos. Stunning the small girl in silence. All the while Pythor laughed at her as the saliva dripped off of her. Jormungand just happily shook her tail.

"Eeeeeewwwww!" shrieked the tiny chaos bringer as she bolted to find a way to wash off the saliva continuing to dip off of her. Pythor laughing in the background as he watched her run towards the direction of the well.

A pair of watchful eyes seeing this as their moment to integrate the child with no prying eyes around to stop them.

As Chaos rubbed of the giant Anacondrai saliva with the help of a nearby well and bucket. Chaos saw the reflection of Mistaké walking up behind her in the water of the bucket.

"I don't know what it is about you that I don't like but I can promise you will pay for it." Chaos informed Mistaké but not bothering to face the old woman preferring to watch Mistaké's reflection in the bucket. "And it will not be pretty."

"I've lived a long life and have many regrets but I am not here to talk about myself. I am here to talk about you." Mistaké clarified for the small child.

"What are you?" Mistaké questioned Chaos as the girl continued to wash off the Anacondrai saliva. Chaos eyes glowed just a little bit more brighter in the water reflective surface.

"Are you referring to me or the one you call (Y/N)?" Chaos cunningly requested. "Because those have entirely different answers?"

Mistaké remained confident and focused. "Hum, if I get only one answer then I'll ask about this (Y/N)." Mistaké said after a short pause.

"Oh, she is many things." Chaos said her attention still on the refection in the bucket water.

"But most important of all. She a monster in the form of a human girl." Chaos turns to look at Mistaké. "And don't you forget it." Her eyes burning brightly.

"Right. Nice chatting with you." Mistaké said before turning around and walking off."And she's never heard of mercy either." Chaos grumbled, surprising herself just how much venom she had in her own voice.

(Third Person P.O.V)

____ Ninjago ____

Everyone turned their attention to the now clean young child. "Ready to go?" Wu asked the small child. Chaos responded by savagely looking away and crossing her arms.

"Wu be silent. You're only making things worse." Pythor hissed at the spinjitzu master.

"Has it been decided whom will be escorting (Y-)." Pythor caught himself. "Whom will be escorting Chaos to her tribe to talk?" Pythor corrected himself.

"Myself, the Treble Makers, Dareth, Ronin and yourself." Queen Selma informed Pythor. "Wu has requested that he be allowed to go with Robin to find the Ninjas." Pythor threw Wu a dirty look after hearing this but otherwise said nothing.

"Skales and Skales Jr will oversee Ouroboros and its residence while we are gone." Queen Selma continued to explain to the group.

"Mistaké and Misako will oversee our affairs." Wu added to the agreement before they were to leave.

Everyone going quickly grouped up as Wu held up the Realm Crystal in a blinding flash they were gone.

(Third Person P.O.V)

__ Nexo Knights __

"So are you guys going to come to with us?" Robin asked the humans and Nindroid who came with the Serpentine as the serpents prepared to leave for the Isle of Vile with Chaos.

"Nope." Ronin abruptly said. "You may want to rethink that." Chaos warned Ronin and Dareth.

"I don't know if the Forest Tribe joined up with the Sea tribe yet or not, and there is this one guy called The Elm of The Dark realm that eats humans. So you may want to try your luck with those jerk Knights." Chaos insisted to the pair.

But both Dareth and Ronin shook their heads no. "Look kid we're (Y/N)'s friends." Dareth sincerely but politely objected.

"And trust me when I say it safer by her side." Ronin quickly continued. "Also you should always tell her the truth even if it's bad." Echo pipped up a bright grin on his copper faceplate.

The trio were set on coming with them in hopes of finding (Y/N) no matter what.

Chaos let out a defeated sigh. "Don't say I didn't warn you or give you an out." Chaos stated as Pythor lifted her up in his tail to carry her once more.

"Now which way?" Pythor demanded and Choas pointed in the direction they needed to go to reach the Isle.

With that the band of Serpentine, Ninjago humans and a Nindroid set off leaving Sensei Wu and Robin behind to find their own way.

"Okay. Thanks for everything." Robin said waving them off before leading Sensei Wu to the nearest village to call the Fortex to come and retrieve them.

"You know you remind me a little of my nephew Lloyd." Sensei Wu said to Robin as they set off towards the village.

"Oh, that reminds me." Robin stated rubbing the back of his neck in an awkward manner. "Lloyd's been de-aged to a small child." Robin informed Sensei Wu bracing himself for the old man's reaction to the poor news.

"What? Oh, that nephew of mine is always having problems with his age." Sensei Wu explained to Robin a slight chuckle in his voice leaving Robin a little dumbstruck on how to respond to that comment.

(Third Person P.O.V)

__ Nexo Knights __

Unbeknownst to both parties while Chaos and Robin had been away. The Nexo Knights had been dealing with Jestro the book of Monsters hunting down more spellbooks to make the Book of Monsters more powerful.

While the Ninjas had gone in search for answers to their questions on how to bring (Y/N) back and hopefully collect some information to help their new friends against the Monsters.

Since they couldn't access the Isle of Vile and Merlok had no knowledge of (N/N) in his data banks their next step was to head for the cave which had previously held the Forest Monsters for any clues.

"Are we sure we're headed in the right direction?" Nya demanded shoving some branches out of her face.

"Yes." Jay hissed at Nya and holding up the map that Ava had for drawn for them for the Master of Water to see once more.

"Nya quit complaining." Cole huffed as he took a sip from his water canister. They had to journey into the dense forest as their elemental dragons couldn't get through the dense vegetation to land safely.

"Complaining solves nothing." Zane added in his own helpful way. "Zane that's not helping." Kai said sitting down for a rest. As the team bickered amongst themselves Lloyd sat silently.

Ever since he'd lost (Y/N) he'd been lost himself. Lloyd had always clung onto (Y/N) for comfort.

When he was younger he'd let loose heavy sobs into (Y/N)'s shirt and she'd held him for what felt like hours. Until he was alright once again. She'd listen to him when he was in trouble or afraid. She'd help when he needed her too. She'd protected him when he needed protecting, even from himself.

But where was he when she needed him and now was she gone forever? Lloyd buried his despair as once more deep within himself to focus on the task in front of them.

Wordlessly he walked up to his team with bloodshot eyes tears flowing freely from his face.

"Lloyd?" Cole asked catching sight of the green ninja's sombre face. Concerned looks were directed towards Lloyd he simply shook his head. "I'm fine." Lloyd cut in. Lloyd's bright emerald green eyes were rimmed with red appearing so fragile and glassy with a fresh sheen of tears.

The team weakly nods in silent agreement to not push the guilt-ridden subject and continue on their quest to find the cave which held the Forest Monsters.

It wasn't much later when they finally stumbled upon the entrance.

"Kai some light." Jay said to the Master of Fire. Kai nodded and lit up his hand in a spectacular display of showing off. "Done." Kai announced proudly as his teammates and sister rolled their eyes at him.

The Ninja quietly crept inside following the makeshift walkway until they reached a main cavern with some unlit torches on the walls.

Kai went around lighting them so the team could see around the cavern better.

What they found was that the area had indeed been vacated very recently. But that wasn't all that they had found.

"Hey check this out." Jay called over to Zane who was pulling one of the now lit torches off a wall.

"Cave drawings." Zane noted once he caught sight of what Jay had found. As Zane went about discerning what the wall carvings could mean. The other Ninjas quickly split up to look for clues Kai with Nya and Cole with Lloyd.

Cole and Lloyd wonder through what had once been a makeshift sleep area by the looks of the strew about rags that littered the dirty cave floor.

Nya and Kai wondered into what had once been some sort of designated cooking area complete with a left-behind cauldron used for cooking in the centre of the area.

Kai managed to get his foot caught in a watering can that had been left behind on the ground leaving Nya to try and remove it when Nya finally managed to pull it off her struggling older brothers foot.

Kai fell through some rags that had been hiding a secret room behind it.

"Nice job Kai." Nya congratulated her brother on his accidental find. "You're welcome." Kai said trying to save face.

Thanks to the light of the torch Nya was carrying she was able to deduce this had been some sort of makeshift library filled with odds and ends amongst the mouldy books it held.

Nya started looking through them to see if any use full information could be gleaned from them.

Nya discovered a book with a serpent design on the cover, quickly picked it up and began reading.

It's been six hours since I've removed it from the solution. It is clumsy, confused and fearful.

It stumbles and trips like a child.

As expected; little experience in non-suspension has led to a difficult adjustment period.

Particularly in regards to the ambulatory motion. It will come in time.

It does not appear to be able to understand me or be capable of speech they may not be truly sentient.

It is STILL child-like... The Weapon is still needier then I would like. This is frustrating but it doesn't matter what IT thinks or feels.

I need to take steps to prevent attachments of any kind. Emotional bonds are an unnecessary risk for a weapon. And that is not what I made IT for. It is a living tool!

I knew what this would entitle these decisions were made for a greater purpose to end the rain of the Ninjago Elemental Masters!

I will make whatever sacrifices I need to make to reach my goal!

"This is some of Hela's research notes on (Y/N), um... Weapon." Nya informed her brother while correcting herself. Kai lent over his sister's shoulder to read what she'd found.

While Nya and Kai were pouring over the research notes Nya has found Lloyd and Cole had stumbled upon their own mystery.

"It looks like some kind of place of worship." Cole pointed out. As he and Lloyd stepped inside the tiny area. It was filled with unlit melted candles.

Cole lit a few with his torch to brighten up the room to get a better look at what they had just found.At the alter sat three stained glass sheets that had once been sitting inside a widow at some point in time but were now leaning against the dirty walls of this cave.

Cole held his torch up to the stained glass windows to get a better look at what the glass depicted.

The first one depicted an infant wrapped in grey tied up in a multi-shaded grey ribbon.

The second depicted a girl wrapped in a grey hooded cloak with one hand raised showing off a dragon-shaped mark on her right arm battling an evil looking woman, behind them a dark portal in the background.

Lloyd reached up and held Cole's hand for comfort. "Don't worry Lloyd. It's just a picture." The Master of Earth chuckled to himself trying to lighten the mood. Lloyd does his best to put on a brave face for Cole.

Though the third stained glass sheet quickly sucked all the lightened mood out of the pair on Ninjas.

It depicted the end of the Realm of Knighton. The girl wrapped in a grey hooded cloak had one hand raised behind her opening a dark portal and in the foreground was an army of the undead pouring out of it. At the armies feet lay their enemies in familiar-looking knights armour.

Cole and Lloyd were unable to speak they were frozen in place from the shock until a voice cut through the air.

"Guys!" Jay shouted out to his teammates. "Zane's found something you all need to see!"

Cole and Lloyd quickly dashed to rejoin Zane and Jay, as did Nya and Kai. Nya bringing along the discovered notes to show them what she and her brother had found.

Zane had uncovered what the rock caving depicted. "These carvings on this wall are about Hela; Queen of Darkness." The Master of Ice explained, pointing to a specific set of rather crude carvings on the wall behind him.

"And how does that help us?" Kai questioned raising an eyebrow. "Let him finish." Jay demanded huffing angrily at the hothead. "Zane tell them what it says." Jay encouraged the Nindroid.

Zane cleared his throat a recounted to his brothers what was carved into the walls pointing at the necessary carving as he went along.

"The Queen of Darkness' desire for justice twisted into vengeance was considered an obsession, perhaps even madness. But she would not be dissuaded. She slipped into darkness and scrawled through forbidden arts espousing her undying hatred. This defilement did not go unanswered."

"For she had created a Weapon." Zane found himself cut off by the green ninja."Wait. That could be talking about (Y/N)." Lloyd pipped up and Cole shooshed him. "You are quite right Lloyd." Zane complemented before continuing to translate.

"One most conniving and wicked, A weapon in human form that she could thrust upon the realm. Little did Hela; Queen of Darkness know what she had just unleashed."

"For years the weapon bided its time, honing its malicious appetites."

"While Hela revelled in torture and malice with free reign of their people. She took delight in their screams of pain. Soaking up every last cry of anguish. So grievous did these atrocities grow that the Weapon rose up and overthrew Hela." Zane was once again interrupted.

"We know this already." The Master of Water groaned. "(Y/N) stoped Hela's invasion of Ninjago. This doesn't help us, Zane." Nya said tapping her foot.

"Yes but over here on this wall tells the rest of some sort of hybrid of a prophecy/plan these forest Monsters believe." Zane explained and he ushered them over to another wall of rock carvings.

"Wow." Nya said catching sight of this wall. These carvings were in a different style, more carefully sculpted, much time and effort was put into these carvings.

It depicted a series of events, including a great battle, foretold to lead to the death of a great number of humans, natural disasters and after these events, the realm would be anew for all monster kind to reign over.

"Well, Zane. What does this say?" Kai demanded rather impatiently.

"This part says: Conceived from evil, cursed by blood, forged by hate, forced to fight; A Weapon, shall crave to unleash her full potential, to unravel the foundations of the humans and wizards that enslaved all Monster kind."

"By blood of Monster and human, born both living and dead, they shall be a master of the dead, She shall glide between the light and shadows, Even other monsters will know to fear her."

"Chaos will swell, as cities crumble, humans will fall to each other's blades and wizards shall grow to loathe one another. Even the mightiest will fear, for she is the child born from the purest of evil." Zane translated for his family.

"I do not like the sound of that." Jay whined. "I believe it is talking about miss (Y/N)." Zane solemnly explained to the others.

"Zane this doesn't help tell us how to bring (Y/N) back." Lloyd complained to the Master of Ice.

"I'm not finished yet, Lloyd." Zane pointed out to Lloyd. "I believe I have uncovered these monster's rather frighting plans." Zane forwarned before he returned to translating.

"When the Queen of Darkness is defeated. The Queen of Monsters shall emerge to throwback these evil hordes of humans and wizard alike."

"She shall protect all Monsters equally, as they are her calling and her greatest pride. It is for her Monsters she shall come to war."

"The Queen of Monsters, radiant and fearsome. A top of her dragon, she will scatter the evil human hordes. For the Queen of Monsters will unleash a tide of retribution. The punishment for their crimes shall be death."

"Across the exalted lands, an army of monsters shall rise to reclaim our stolen lands and slaughter the humans that once hunted us."

"For she shall, defend her kind against the tyrant of the crown. She shall storm the gates and toppled their throne. For she is the red-washed blade of divine retribution."

"Now, behold a war-torn land, beset by the wrath of Monsters filling the air with blood and cries of humans. For there is no fear she can not incite. No dying breath she can not collect as we demand. For we shall wield their greatest adversary." Zane finished translating and turning to the worried looks on his brother's faces.

"I believe these monster's intent on forcing (Y/N) to lead them on a conquest to destroy all of Knighton." Zane explained and let the gravity of the situation sink in for the team.

"No! She wouldn't do that!" Kai objected. "She could do a lot of things but she'd never hurt someone who didn't deserve it."

"Kai's right!" Nya agreed wholeheartedly with her big brother. "Yeah!" Lloyd joined in. Cole and Jay both nodding in agreement with the others.

"And I believe you all are mistaken." Zane confidently admitted to them. "What!?" Everyone yelled at Zane.

"Zane, how can you think that?" Cole asked quietly. "Because a weapon needs a wielder. Is that not what Lloyd was to her before he betrayed her?" Zane replied to the Master of Earth.

"You're lying!" Lloyd shouted at Zane. "She is-was my friend! I didn't force her to do anything!" Loyd shouted again fresh tears starting to fall down his face. Cole immediately set about comforting the small green ninja.

"It's alright Lloyd. Zane didn't mean it like that." Cole tried to explain while calming Lloyd down.

"Zane explain yourself now." Kai urged the Master of Ice. "She did Lloyd's bidding. Did she not?" Zane answered Master of Fire honestly.

Lloyd looked up horrified at Zane. The thought that Zane believed that he was using (Y/N) was almost too much to bare for the young boys already fragile heart.

"They formed a contract that she would look after Lloyd until he no longer needed her too, did they not?" Zane clarified for the team.

Lloyd nodded whipping away some of his tears on the back of the sleave of the borrowed armour he was wearing.

"I don't see what that silly promise they made had anything to do with this." Nya huffed in annoyance.

"She protected Lloyd and did his bidding, for ill or good." Zane went on to explain to the team.

"So?" Jay responded. "She had no strong opinion either way as long as Lloyd was safe or happy. It never bothered her if he was in the wrong." Zane continued to explain.

"So Lloyd was a bratty child. I still do see what you're getting at Zane." Kai pointed out to the Nindroid.

"No, I get it." Cole said realising what Zane was telling them. "She didn't start putting up with us until Lloyd asked her to. Before that she couldn't have cared less if we lived or died." Cole affirmed.

"Yes Cole, that is precisely it." Zane stated. "And now these Monsters intended on making her this Queen of Monsters and sicking her on this realm." Jay moaned out loud.

"Just like how Lloyd could sick her on us." Kai said rather wide-eyed. "And these monsters know the full extent of her powers, unlike Lloyd." Nya gulped in fear dropping the notebooks as she did.

"Nya what are those?" Jay questioned picking up one of the notebooks. "Nearest I could tell it's Hela's research notes on how she created (Y/N)." Nya answered honestly.

"There's a whole section filled with that kind of stuff. These monsters must have been studying them." Kai frantically explained.

"Lloyd and I found some kind of place of worship." Cole informed the team. "There were some stained glass windows depicting a child in a grey cloak. One of them as of an undead army taking over the land." Lloyd reported on their findings.

"So If they reunite the Eleven Elements of Evil and bring back (Y/N) um...er (N/N) before we do they'll have her destroy the realm." Jay shouted in realisation.

Cold dread swept through the Ninjas as an evil laugh filled the air drawing their attention towards the cave entrance just in time to see it being sealed shut locking the Ninjas in the dark.

A collective barrage of "Argh. Brick!" soon filled the dark cavern.
