CHAPTER ONE
"Run Lizzie run, don't look back!" —Steve, her father, shouted desperately.
The two of them were running through the Philadelphia's forest, it was midnight and they could hardly see where they were stepping. The two of them were tired of running, they had been running away from those hunters who were chasing them for hours, they still didn't know how they had found them, but it wasn't a good time to think about it. They decided to go further into the forest looking for a shred of hope, but to no avail.
The forest had many different paths and the fact that it was at night didn't help at all. They decided to try luck and among all the possible paths, they took a secondary path turning right thinking that it would give them a bit of an advantage. Without thinking about it, they decided to run without knowing that, that road would be their next hell. Elizabeth couldn't take it anymore, she was exhausted and hurt, they hadn't been able to rest for days.
—Dad, I can't take it anymore.— Elizabeth decided to stop in the middle of the road, collapsing from exhaustion.
— Lizzie, we must continue, hold on — Steve bent down desperate to pick up his daughter but out of nowhere a sharp and stabbing pain appeared in Steve's left leg. Horrified, Steve saw that a wooden arrow had been stuck in his left leg, terrified Elizabeth looked ahead to find a group of hunters. They had found them. Elizabeth in a quick movement grabbed her father and they tried to flee but they found more hunters, they were surrounded. With no escape and no plan, their minds went blank and when they wanted to react, a hunter had already taken Elizabeth away from her father's arms.
Elizabeth with all her might tried to get out of his grip but to no avail, from one moment to the next, her eyes turned red just like the aura that appeared on her fingers, and with a movement of her hands, the red aura pushed the hunter causing him to shoot out. With the little strength she had left, she faced the others ready to attack until she saw her father being pointed at the head with a gun.
—Try it, witch, let's see what will happen to your father— The gray-haired man replied. Immediately the aura from her hands disappeared, but the glowing color of her eyes was intensified by the rage she was feeling.
—What do you want?— Elizabeth answered with that marked accent that she had thanks to all the trips she made.
— We want you, little witch, they will pay us very well for you, for a creature as powerful as you, it's a shame for you that you don't know how to take advantage of all the power you could have but what a joy for us to be able to hunt you down so easily — said the hunter while the rest of the group approached.
—William, get it out now — he said pointing at the boy who seemed to be the youngest with a backpack.
The boy named William took out a metallic-looking necklace with a glowing light in the center. He slowly approached Elizabeth, while she took a couple of steps back. Two hunters grabbed her arms and Elizabeth's first instinct was to run, obviously to no avail.
— Lizzie, don't let them put it on you— Steve said in a heartbreaking cry.
—Stay still, little witch, and stay in silent if you don't want me to drill his brains out.— He loaded the gun and put it to the back of his head. Steve was losing a lot of blood. The arrow had completely pierced his leg. He was pale, with beads of sweat running down his face and without strength. Time was running against him as he was bleeding to death, it seemed that the end had already been written. The younger boy, William, slowly approached Elizabeth who was held by two hunters. He opened the necklace and slowly brought it closer to the redhead's neck and before closing it she could read a sorry on his lips. This made Elizabeth think that the boy was not very fond of this idea and that he had been forced to do it. They were both too young for all the chaos of that situation. When the necklace was in contact with his neck, it closed and a red light appeared. At that moment Elizabeth felt how all her strength was fading and that she was going to collapse at that moment if it hadn't been for the hunters that had her held. At that moment she knew that this necklace was oppressing her powers, her only method of escape had been taken from her. They were going to take her away from her father but all she wanted was for them to set her father free.
— Leave him alone, you already have what you want, I'll do wherever you want but take him to the nearest hospital, please, he's bleeding to death" Elizabeth said quickly, anguished. — Take me, let him live, please, I beg you. —
— We'll leave him alone, we already have what we wanted, let's go guys," said the leader. Saying this, he stopped aiming at Steve and turned to Elizabeth. As he stopped pointing at Steve and pointed at Elizabeth. "Take her to the van."
Neither of them could do anything, they were both without strength and power, Elizabeth began to cry inconsolably, she did not want to be separated from her father. The two hunters who were holding her began to take her back the way they had come.
— Kill him when we're gone,— the group leader whispered to William, the youngest hunter. Words heard by Elizabeth.
— That! No! You can't do that, I beg you!— Elizabeth cried desperately. Elizabeth slipped out of the hunter's arms to get closer to her father and hugged him. As the hunters went after her, the leader raised his hand to signal them to leave.
— Promise me one thing, Lizzie — her father whispered in her ear. —Promise me you'll go to Beacon Hills and find Noah Stilinski.—
— I can't let you go, dad — Elizabeth said sobbing.
— Please don't forget what I told you —Steve said, seeing that the hunters were coming for her. — I love you Lizzie, never forget it, you are more valuable than you can imagine—
The group of hunters picked up and escorted Elizabeth to the van, while she was crying and writhing desperately. When it was close to reaching the van, a shot echoed through the woods. At that moment, Elizabeth felt an emptiness and she stopped suddenly, with a piercing cry and a tear falling down her cheek, Elizabeth fell to her knees and not even the necklace could contain her powers. A powerful red aura emanated from her hands and spread throughout the entire place, the hunters around him completely scorched. While Elizabeth was on the ground crying inconsolably, a voice was heard.
— How do you do that, the necklace you were wearing nullified your powers — said the astonished leader who had stayed a few meters ahead of the group. He bent down and picked up the necklace that was in pieces on the floor. Elizabeth looked up and without being able to control it, she raised her hand and threw him against a tree. Some cracking was heard, probably from the bones that had been broken hitting the tree. Elizabeth got up and slowly approached the man.
— Killing me is not an option. If you kill me, my whole family will go after you — said the adult in pain as he took a silver bullet out of his pocket. — My family are werewolf hunters, the Argents, they have experience hunting, they will go for you I assure you.—
— I can assure you that losing someone from your family hurts, they will feel it — Immediately after, Elizabeth with a movement of her hands made the red aura appear and placing her hand on her chest, she stopped her heart. —We'll see you in hell son of a bitch.
