Y/N's POV:

I sipped the refreshment in my hand eagerly, feeling in heaven because of the taste, oh I missed this! I hummed after taking a large bite of my burger, shoving the embarrassment and manners out of the window.

The man in front of me was kind enough to busy himself with other small things, instead of staring at me.

I sighed after chewing and gulping down my last bite, almost tearing up, finally feeling full after 3 years.

"Thank you.......Mark"

I whispered,to which he smiled a sad smile at me. We were currently inside his small apartment, it was a well maintained one, neither too poor nor rich looking.

After my irrational action, I'm grateful that I met him and he took me in, insisting to give me a place to stay until I figure out what to do next with my life. As I looked around at his apartment I couldn't help but feel a twinge of envy, he seems to be living a peaceful, normal life. Unlike me. My eyes landed on a photo frame. There was a young girl portrait in it, around 12 to 14 years I think.

Mark followed my line of sight before releasing a fond sigh.

"My daughter"

I snapped my head towards him- confused.

"What...?"

"She's my daughter- not biological tho,I adopted her after a few months of being released from the asylum, she was being harassed when I was passing an alley, I couldn't bring myself to leave her alone so I tried to save her and manage to succeed"

I stared at him, processing his words before he spoke again.

"She didn't have a home back then,so I took her in- as an escape from my loneliness,we soon grew that daughter and father bond so yeah-"

He shrugged as I nodded, glancing at the photo frame once again, the girl had a small smile as she stared beyond the lenses as if looking at the person capturing it.

"What's her name.....?"

"Zain....."

"Hm... pretty" I spoke. "Where is she now?"

"Day boarding school"

A silence settled upon us after that.

"So tell me,why did I find you the way I did?"

I looked up at him,leaning against the chair, absolutely not in the mood to explain things.

"I can't tell you now but..."
He raised an eyebrow waiting for me to continue,so I did.
"I need your help......"

He pursed his lips, giving me that skeptical look as if knowing I'm up to something. I sighed.

"I'm looking for someone-"

"Hold up! Don't tell me it's something to do with the man I saw you with a few years ago..?!"

"Actually yes but-"

"Are you serious?! Y/N! That man- that- oh my God"

"Mark-"

"I thought he was........."

He kept mumbling incoherent words after that as if lost in his own mind and after I have had enough I banged the table hard in front of me.

"MARK!"

"Huh?"

I sighed, rubbing my forehead as a sign of an upcoming headache.

"Yes,I'm looking for that man,you don't need to know anything further"

"He seemed psyco-"

I glared at him not liking the tone he used for my man.

"Look, Y/N- I'm just warning you,he seems to have become dangerous,I had no idea you weren't with him all these years- nothing make sense anymore but I'm not going to stop you, I'll help you find him but- you have to promise me something"

"Thank you Mark and anything- I'm ready to give anything"

"Alright then."

It's been two weeks since I'm staying at Mark's place, me and Zain got along pretty well, in fact she's an absolute sweetheart but can be dangerous at times too. We didn't get to spend much time together as she go to school at 7 am and come back at 5pm.

And about Jungkook, we got some information,it wasn't easy but Mark somehow extracted the information of some powerful men going to sign a deal on a cruise ship.I don't know how Mark found out about this,it seemed to easy ,too.... suspicious,as if.... someone was willingly giving us the information on where to find him and it gave me chills thinking about it. The uncertainty pooling heavily in my guts.

It was risky, extremely dangerous. I don't even Know if Jungkook would be there ,I don't know what'll happen to me there in the middle of the sea.

But I have to take the risk, I'm desperate at this point,I just want to see Jungkook,hug him,kiss me,make love to him, if possible chain him to me so we won't be separated again.

I looked down to my side where the nudge came from, finding Zain staring at me with an eyebrow raised.

"What...?"

"What are you thinking about? My dad?"

I couldn't help but frown.

"Uh....why would I think about your dad?"

" He used to think about you because"

I laughed, thinking she's just playing and pinched her cheeks.

"Oh really?"

"Yeah, he used to make your sketches but then stopped all of a sudden, I don't know why!"

My smile faltered, gulping, feeling extremely confused and lost at this point but willed myself to force any assumptions away, I already have many things to worry about,don't need more stress.

Just when I was about to speak the door to the front opened and in came Mark, smiling as he gazed at our seated forms on the sofa.

"Hey Dad!"
Zain greeted as I waved at him,to which he returned the wave and smiled.

"Hey Zainie!
Are you ready for tonight,Y/n?"

I took a deep breath, feeling my insides jittering at the thought of doing what I'm about to do.

"Yeah,I feel much healthier now,thanks to you. I'm not sure about my skills tho, it's been years I've performed on a pole" I spoke not caring if I'm speaking about it In front of a 12 years old, she just think I'm going for a competition where only adults are aloud.....yeah yeah pretty lame but couldn't think of a better excuse.

Sighing, Mark took my hand in his after settling down on the seat beside me while Zain went of to her room waving about doing her homework or something.

"You'll be fine ,I can only Wish for that but You can withdraw anytime you want Y/n cause even I don't know the consequences, it was suspicious how I suddenly came across two men having a conversation about, but they weren't any normal people,I'm sure of that"

"I'm doing it, I want to find him at any cost and I'm not backing down now"

Hey dreamers ! Sorry for taking so long, a lil stressed over studies but the in Next chapter, they'll finally reunite!! And I'll post it sooner cause I, myself am excited about it!!
