Fallen and Changed
Ok, so I wanted a story that didn't star Error for once, and a story that crossed over with Avengers. I mentioned this on Discord, and Fire instantly gave me an idea, so thank you @Firehedgehog! So... I hope you like it! (I have never watched the Thor movie or anything that came out after Avengers 2, so bear with me here as I destroy the MCU with my lack of knowledge.)
Loki dangled from the broken Bifrost, staring up at his fath- no, at Odin. All he had ever wanted was to be acknowledged, like Thor was. He wanted to prove that he was also good enough... but Odin cruelly denied him. Was it because of his true heritage? Was it because he used magic and brains over muscled and bravery? What was it that made Odin treat him different, yet still call him son? He didn't know... but he couldn't take it anymore. He was tired of the glares, the mutters, the hate from the citizens of Asgard. He was so tired of it. So, with a last glance towards his mother and brother, he let go, barely hearing his brother's cry as he fell into the black of the Void.
Loki fell for what seemed like an eternity, before... he stopped falling. He didn't hit anything, he just... floated there, in this endless space. Was this death? If so, it was very peaceful. His thoughts were interrupted by the sound of a girl giggling. "Who is there?" he called out into the black. "Hello, Loki Laufeyson." said the voice. "You're lucky, you know. The Mad Titan was going to intercept your path. He would've broken you in a way that couldn't be fixed." she told him in a very matter of fact tone. "Where are you? Why can I not see you?" Loki asked, a bit shook at the idea of the Mad Titan finding him.
A bright light appeared in front of him suddenly, causing him to jerk in surprise. The girl giggled, the light pulsing with the sound. "You have a choice here, Loki Laufeyson. You can go back to your world and remain Loki Silvertongue, God of Lies and Tricks, the one that is looked down upon for using his intelligence to fight instead of his muscle, or you can go forwards and become someone new. Find a family that accepts you for who you are, and perhaps... become a different type of God. The choice is yours." Loki considered the offer. He didn't want to go back. He loved his mother, yes... but he didn't want to deal with the pain anymore. The choice was an obvious one.
"I would like to go forwards, My Lady." He said, staring at the light. The girl giggled again. "Very well, but keep in mind that you will still go through hardships, and that your past will eventually catch up with you. I will be changing you into something... different, to help you grow into your new abilities. You will have to craft your own body, but once you do, it will never break down." Loki looked at the light in confusion, but before he could ask what she meant, a sharp, searing pain went through him and he went unconscious.
Waking up in his new body was... a little difficult. He quickly found that he needed hosts to survive, but the idea of taking someone else's life to extend his was... distasteful, to say the least. He found a compromise after coming across someone attempting to take their own life. A quick conversation and voila, he had a body. Even if it was stranger than what he was used to. Apparently, his world was unique in that it had no monsters, beings made of magic, within it anywhere. The body he had was that of a skeleton monster, as that was honestly the easiest one he could get. It was close enough to his old form that the adjustment period was next to nil.
He wandered, learning more of this Multiverse. It was... invigorating, in a way he couldn't describe. He no longer dressed in the dark, royal looking clothes, no. He wore much more comfortable, brightly colored clothing now. He learned different ways of talking, finding the 90's slang to be the most fun, as it made people have to actually pay attention to understand what he was saying. After a while, he simply... forgot who he used to be. He forgot that he used to be Loki of Asgard. He forgot the pain of being hated for using his intelligence. He forgot the pain of being overshadowed by a braggart of a brother. He simply... forgot over the years, as he enjoyed his new life as Fresh, God of Chaos. He gained brothers in Error, the God of Destruction, and Geno, God of the Void. A family in the form of two others who were just as broken as he.
Over the years, Fresh met others he would call family. Blueberry was kind, letting him borrow his body to find a new host when his current one broke down quicker than anticipated. Horror, who genuinely did not care about the fact that he was a parasite, looking past that fact. Asy, who was someone that adored him unconditionally, simply because he took the time to see him. Classic, because he went to the broken Sans' and offered them a way out, a way to move on. Nightmare, who helped him get over his fear of others, as it was quite crippling to him. Reaper, who never treated him any differently, no matter how he was feeling. Yes, these people were his.
And he would destroy any who would take them from him.
There we go, all finished! What did you guys think? Let me know!
