He was swimming to the shore to head up to the cave him and Sunset had been sharing

I'm glad Sunset showed me how rude Hurricane was before I picked her as her as my mate because that would have ended terribly

He had invited Sunset and Hurricane for dinner He was bringing dinner in when he heard shouting

"Stay away from Leatherback you dumb Skywing he's mine so just leave and I can tell him that you left" Hurricane shouted

"I'm not going to leave my friend without saying bye I love him too Hurricane get over its his decision of who he picks anyway" Sunset shouted back

"Then maybe I should just make his decision easy on him" Hurricane said and raised a Talon about to strike Sunset

"No Hurricane you've made my decision very easy now get out of my house" he said

Hurricanes head shot towards him

"Fine whatever I'll just find one of you brothers to help me become royalty" Hurricane said and stalked past him

"Sorry I didn't listen to you sooner Sunset" Leatherback said

"It's alright and you got here right on time there would have been a fight if you didn't get here sooner" she told him

"Now let's eat" Leatherback said

He hopped out of the water

And towards the cave they lived in

There were a bunch of massagers tho he was a retired one

Mostly because he wanted to spend more time with Sunset

Prince Cliff was one for Queen Coral tho some said he did it Mostly to get to see princess Auklet more

Sunset was reading a new message

And she looked up and saw him

"It sounds like Shadowseer isn't having much fun his sister Fatedreamer moved into Possibility" she said

"Yeah it sounds like it now I brought dinner" Leatherback replied

"More fish? Can't you catch a hawk or some other sea creature?" Sunset asked

"Maybe" he replied

"Your not going to because you want to make me like fish as much as you do" Sunset said

"Yep" he aggred

"Knew it" Sunset replied

He grinned

"Now let's eat" Leatherback said

Sunset cooked hers before she ate it

"So has your sister challenged Coral for the throne yet?" Sunset asked

"Not yet I think she's waiting for the perfect time" Leatherback answered

"Okay" Sunset replied

Sunset had several star maps layd out around the house

And portable telescopes

Tho he was working on carving out a astronomy cave for her

He remembered the first night he found her on the beach looking through her telescope at the stars

The bed felt empty? But Sunset slept with him how could it feel empty

He opened his eyes to find Sunset wasn't in bed with him

He got up he had to find where his mate went

He walked out of his room and outside

And he saw Sunset with one of the telescopes and using it to look at the stars

"Next time can you tell me when you are going out to look at the stars" Leatherback asked

She looked back "Sorry I thought you heard me get up"

"I'm going to head up and continue working on the cave I'm carving out" Leatherback said

"Kay I'm going to continue looking through these star maps

A few days later

It was early but he was moving Sunsets astronomy stuff into the newly carved out cave

She's going to love having a room for her astronomy stuff he thought as he worked

He was just laying out the last of her star maps when he heard her call

"Leatherback where is my astronomy stuff?"

"Come to me and I can tell you" Leatherback called back

She came up and gasped when she came in

"This room was for me!?" She asked

"Yep" he answered

"Thank you thank you thank you Leatherback" she said and jumped at him tumbling him into a hug

"Your welcome now can I get up?" Leatherback replied

She got off him and helped him up

"You are the best mate ever" Sunset told him

"And you are too" he told her

And she pulled him into another hug

"And the best Prince I've ever met" she said

"Well your the best princess I've ever met and I've met quite a few" Leatherback replied

She pulled away "your trying to out compliment me"

"Indeed I am" he replied and smirked

"Your trying to what!?" His cousin Aqua asked

"It's are own business" Leatherback answered

"Also I'm now my father's successor so I'll be the next Commander" Aqua said

"That's cool" Leatherback commented

"I know it's awesome it's what I've hoped for" Aqua said

Her narwhal horned tail swinging happily

"Careful where you swing you tail you might rip some of my maps" Sunset said

Aqua's tail paused "Uh those are pictures of stars not maps"

"Star maps" Sunset clarified

"Oh uh okay" Aqua replied

"She never really paid attention to the astronomy classes" Leatherback told Sunset

"Oh...okay" Sunset replied

"So what have you been up to recently Leatherback" Aqua asked

"Working on making this cave for Sunset" Leatherback answered

"In the sea kingdom everyone who has seen Prince Cliff delivering messages to Queen Coral has seen that Cliff and Auklet are obviously in love" Aqua said

"We've heard that" Leatherback told Aqua

"That Gossip must have traveled fast if you've already heard it" Aqua said

"Gossip travels fast anywhere" Sunset replied

"Yeah I guess" Leatherback aggred

Aqua had never been one to gossip more of quiet and deadly but if you got her going she would go on and on and on

"So have you heard anything on the new Mudwing Queens rule because I haven't" Aqua asked

"Her name is Queen Terra and we haven't" Leatherback answered

"Hm so the same Mudwing that was in your winglet" Aqua asked

"Yeah the same Terra" Sunset answered

"Interesting" Aqua said

"But there's this annoying Seawing named Eel that has been trying to get my attention endlessly like he doesn't have anything better to do" Aqua said

"Sounds like someone has a crush on you" Leatherback commented

"Yeah I guess but I need to head out now bye guys" Aqua said

"I'm making breakfast today" Sunset said

And they both walked out leaving him alone
