The Chaos Gang Meets in a Social Club
Prompt/Source of Idea: I recently went to a social club called the Ponderosa and it was super fun and cool, so I thought it would be fun to write some of my favorite people in one of my favorite environments :>
A/N: This might be canon to Ghosties AU, btw
A/N 2: This is a COMPLETELY WHOLESOME oneshot with ABSOLUTELY NO HIDDEN MEANINGS
Swift flicked her tail and tapped her claws on the bar's tabletop. The bartender slid her a glass cup, filled nearly to the brim with her favorite drink; Dr. Pepper. She gingerly took the straw between her thumb and index claws and sipped from the drink.
"What brings you here, all alone?" The bartender asked, grabbing a dripping wet cup and drying it with a clean rag.
Swift flicked her tail again, "Friends of mine are coming soon. Hopefully," She murmured and tugged at her collar, "I haven't seen any of them in person, and we have finally managed to find a time we can meet up."
"Oh, well that sounds exciting for you," The bartender grinned softly.
"Oh it is," Swift scoffed and smiled, "We've all known each other for about four-ish years now. We have been planning to visit each other a lot sooner, but some things didn't work out the way we planned."
"Ah," The bartender nodded, "Well I hope you all enjoy your time. I'll be here for any food or drink needs." She winked at Swift and turned to the other end of the bar, where a larger group of people were talking and laughing.
Swift, half empty cup in hand, stood and bustled away towards an empty table. It was large, large enough for Swift, Vesper, Churro, Pancake, Echo, Triple, and Games to comfortably lounge at. It was a circular booth seat nestled in a far corner with a single light bulb glowing above it. The wood used for the table and the backs of the seats were dark brown, and the cushions were a soothing and deep forest green. Swift set her bag down and her glass cup. She lifted her head back towards the rest of the club. She had a good overview of the bar, save the entrance and miniature restaurant.
Swift sank into the seats and checked her phone.

Swift felt excitement vibrating through her body, like someone poking her hundreds of times over. She reached for her camera and revealed it and started recording.
"The others are going to be here soon and, I'll be honest, I'm a little nervous," Swift spoke quietly to the camera, "And I'm sitting in the worst possible position, because I can't see the entrance, so I'm not going to be able to see them until they see m-."
Swift was cut off by a loud "SWIIIIIIIIIIIIIFT!"
"Speak of the Devil," Swift murmured.
Swift looked up and brightened. She slid off of the edge of the seat and stood up. Pancake, Echo, and Triple were sprinting full-speed at Swift.
Swift yelped as Pancake collided with the draconian and nearly knocked her over. Pancake fiercely hugged her, making cute high-pitched squealing noises. Swift copied her and squeezed her girlfriend, laughing.
"SWIFT!" Echo barreled into the two girlfriends. Pancake released Swift and Echo immediately latched on, laughing excitedly. Their black and blue tail was wagging so fast, that Swift wouldn't have been surprised if the Pravum started flying.
"Hi!" Swift greeted back, her voice high with excitement. Triple wrapped her arms around both of the hybrids, tail also wagging.
"Triple!" Swift exclaimed.
"SWIFT!" The cat hybrid squealed.
"It's so good to finally see all of you," Swift grinned widely, her own tail starting to sway, "Where is everyone else?"
"Right here," Churro called, walking over with Vesper and Games. Triple and Echo released Swift and turned to the other three, smiling.
Vesper trotted up to Swift and gingerly hugged her, "Hi Swift!" She exclaimed.
"Hey Ves!" Swift laughed, hugging the other draconian back. The two quickly released and Swift turned to Churro and Games, who were awkwardly standing beside each other.
"Someone else take the camera," Swift said through laughs as Pancake took the small black device. Swift trotted over to Churro and excitedly greeted him.
"Heya Swift," He replied with a smile, "I- uh- got you a bandana."
"YOU DID?" Swift cried as Churro revealed a small bag. Swift took it and furiously started unwrapping the bag.
"Y-yeah," Churro grinned toothily, "I think you'll like it."
Swift revealed a soft pale green and blue bandana, "It's PERFECT! Churro, thank you!" She hugged him tightly, and he lightly hugged her back.
Swift pulled away and fitted it for her neck. She beamed at it as Echo cooed and stared at it wide-eyed.
"Swift, it looks so cool!" Echo praised.
"I told you she would like it," Games poked Churro sharply in the shoulder.
"Do you guys like pool? I like pool. There are some pool tables we can play at," Swift gestured to a nearby area of the club where three pool tables were lined up.
"I want to play with Swift," Pancake hooked her arm with Swift and pulled her towards the farest table. Swift laughed loudly and trotted with her.
"A kiss for the camera?" Pancake asked, pulling Swift close and smiling.
"Okay, fine," Swift murmured. Swift stood on the tips of her toes and pressed her mouth to Pancake's.
Somewhere at the other end of the room where the booth was, the rest of the Chaos Gang was making loud gagging noises. Swift pulled back and snorted. Pancake turned to the rest of the group and stuck her tongue out at them.
Swift giggled and made her way to the side of the table where she paid for a game. Pancake set the camera on a nearby table and started messing with it, probably setting up a stream.
Swift set up the pool balls in the shape of a triangle just as Pancake had finished tinkering with the camera.
"Starting a livestream," Pancake murmured, opening her laptop and putting it beside the camera.
Swift turned around as Pancake stepped back, "Heya, Chat!"
Swift padded up beside Pancake to the camera. On the laptop screen, it showed the livestream chat. Everyone was shouting about how Swift and Pancake were together in person.
Swift hugged Pancake, "Guys, I found this hobo on the street and thought it would be fun to play with her."
"I'm the hobo?" Pancake scoffed in mock offense, "If anyone is a hobo, it's you."
Swift smirked, "We can both be hobos."
Pancake patted Swift on the head, "Nah, just you." Pancake then squeezed Swift in a hug, "But I still wuv you."
Swift mumbled undistinguishable noises and buried her head in Pancake's chest. The chat started spamming Swiftcake.
"Don't clip that," Swift mumbled, turning to the camera.
"Too late, they already have," Pancake observed.
"ANYWAY, " Swift pulled back and clapped her hands together, "Swiftcake plays pool!"
Pancake bustled to the opposite end of the table where the pool sticks were located and carefully selected one. Swift joined her and selected one as well.
"I am starving, do they have a menu here?" Pancake asked.
"They do, over on the table. I already ordered some egg rolls and potstickers, if you want either of those," Swift gestured to the table the camera was sitting on, "Also, who do we want to go first?"
"Shortest first," Pancake waved, bustling over to the menu and starting to flip through it, "Oooh, they have sundaes."
"I- hey," Swift flattened her ears and frowned, "I also ordered a sundae for us to share, if you want to."
"Wow, how considerate of you," Pancake smiled and glanced briefly at the laptop.
"They're spamming Swiftake, aren't they?" Swift asked.
"Oh yeah they are," Pancake chuckled.
Swift leaned against the table and lined up the pole to hit the white ball. She adjusted her angle while the waiter came and delivered the food. Swift hit the ball as Pancake bit into an egg roll.
The white ball connected with the triangle and sent balls speeding across the surface of the table. A solid blue ball, the number 2 ball, tipped into one of the holes and disappeared. Swift shifted her position and struck at the white ball again, causing it to collide with a few others.
"You're stripes, Pancake," Swift stood up and sauntered towards her girlfriend and the very appetizing plate of food.
"Mhm," Pancake hummed through a mouthful of food.
Pancake swallowed and stepped up to the table. She aimed at the white ball, setting it up to hit the orange striped ball, and slammed the tip of the stick into it. The ball rolled and tumbled into one of the holes.
A/N: I don't want to hear it. I don't.
"Nice," Swift commented, finishing off an egg roll she had snagged from the plate.
The duo played for a while. At some point, Echo and Churro came by to entertain the fans and cheer on Swift and Pancake. Eventually, the sun set and some special characters came by the bar, causing the Chaos Gang to make the executive decision to leave.
The group stood outside of the club, hiding under a gazebo from the rain.
"I don't have enough room in my truck to drive y'all to your hotel," Swift said, drawing her wings close.
"We have a taxi coming," Vesper said, turning off her phone.
"Swift, take Churro and Pancake to your place, why don't you?" Echo smiled and elbowed Churro.
"Uh, why?" Swift asked, "I mean, not that I don't want to or anything..."
"We all know you and Pancake are dying to hang out more, and Churro will be there to keep y'all from having too much fun," Games yawned.
"Oh WOW, okay," Swift sputtered.
Pancake and Churro started laughing. Churro smiled casually and said, "I don't mind seeing your place."
"Alright, let's go then," Swift waved, stepping out from under the gazebo and flinching from the rain.
The iconic trio trotted through the parking lot to Swift's dark blue truck, which was technically her dad's that she had borrowed for a while.
"Churro, you can sit in the middle," Swift grinned toothily, opening the driver's side door and lifting up the center council to reveal a seat.
"Haha, funny," Churro clambered into the truck. Pancake had already taken her seat, leaving Churro to squish against her.
Swift slid in beside him, making the entity cramming worse. Swift stabbed her keys into the keyhole and turned it, starting the truck. Swift guided the truck out of the lot and steered it away.
"Are you sure it's safe for you to be driving, Swift?" Churro asked.
"Churro, I'm not Echo," Swift sighed, "I had one drink, and that was only because Echo wanted me to try it."
"I think he's talking about your height, Swift," Pancake pointed out, "You can barely see over the wheel."
"I'm not Sigils, y'all," Swift spat, "I can drive perfectly fine.
"Suuuuure," Churro sat up straight and looked out at the road. Swift promptly smacked his arm.
"Hey, ow!" Churro flinched away from the smaller draconian, "Except not really because you don't hit hard."
Swift punched his arm.
"OW!" Churro yelped.
Swift stuck her tongue out at the other draconian.
Soon they arrived at Swift's apartment. Swift unlocked the door and the three all flopped down on Swift's couch.
"I'msofreakingtired," Swift groaned.
"Aw, does Sleeping Beauty need her beauty sleep?" Pancake asked mockingly.
"How about we watch a movie?" Churro asked, sitting up.
And so, the three did. Halfway through, they all had fallen asleep. In the morning, Swift was the first to wake.
She was leaning on Pancake's shoulder and had a wing slung over Churro's back. Both of her friends were nestled on the couch, clutching blankets and pillows.
Sunlight filtered through the windows, highlighting the room with a golden glow.
Swift smiled and closed her eyes.
