Hey guys, here's the first chapter of Chaos Corruption. I hope you enjoy!

Ethan's POV

"So, are you guys going to camp this summer?" I asked Maya, Jack and Sarah as we all walked to the Mason's (Jack and Sarah if you didn't remember their last name) house.

"We're planning to, so are Alyss and Danial. At least that's what they said last night when we asked them." Sarah said.

Since the battle at Camp Half-Blood the four of them hadn't gotten to see each other much because of distance. We had all come back to Texas, Alyss included, although she lives out in the country with her uncle and cousin. Danial lives even farther away, over in Miami. Luckily Nico was able to shadow travel us back. My mom and stepdad were absolutely pissed that I left, but surprisingly they were pissed because they were actually worried about me, so were my stepsister and half-brother.

"I'm gonna try, but my aunt and uncle probably won't let me leave the house, I'll have to sneak out in order to get there." Maya said.

"Well, your brother was practically teaching you how to teleport before we all came back home, so that shouldn't be to hard." Jack responded.

"Yeah, but the last time I tried to shadow travel without his help or without Reyna doing her thing I passed out for three days. So unless one of you plans on carrying me all the way to camp that's not gonna work." Maya responded.

"You can just call Nico. He'd be here in a second to help you." I said as I put my arm around her shoulders.

"That's true. Maybe he can bring us to camp, then we wouldn't have to find a way to pay for airplane tickets." Jack said.

"He'd probably make us pay him in drachmas." Maya said as she laughed, after a bit we were all laughing like lunatics, we laughed until we turned the corner to Jack and Sarah's street, where our laughing was cut short because of something in front of us.

It was four people from camp, the son of Dionysus, his name was Pollux, a son of Aphrodite, his name was Mitchell, and two children of Hephaestus, Nyssa and Christopher.

"Oh, hey guys, what's up? And what are you doing here?" I asked, then I noticed something, something very wrong.

All their eyes were fully black, they looked exactly like I would imagine a person who was possessed by a ghost would look.

What the heck? What's wrong with them?!

"Guys, what's wro... woah!" I said as they all pulled out weapons and started walking towards us.

Mitchell had a short bronze dagger, Christopher had a bronze hammer that looked quite heavy, Pollux and Nyssa both had swords

"What's wrong with them?!" Jack asked as he took his bronze watch off and clicked the side of it, it turned into a sword.

We had all asked Leo to make us easily concealable weapons before we left camp, but he had only had enough time to make Jack's. Which left him as the only one of us with an actual weapon.

"I don't know!" I said as I pulled my backpack off my shoulders, as did Maya and Sarah.

Then the four campers started attacking us, Jack was fighting Nyssa, their swords clanging as they fought, Sarah was relentlessly beating Mitchell with her backpack, Maya was using her backpack as a shield to block swings from Christopher's heavy bronze hammer, and I was fighting Pollux, his sword was tearing my backpack to shreds. I saw my math folder fall to the ground with several slashes through it.

I guess I can't use the excuse "a friend of mine destroyed my homework with a sword" can I?

"Why are they attacking us?!" I shouted as I dodged another swing. I hadn't dodged quite fast enough though, because I felt a wave of pain erupt from my thigh.

"I don't know!" Maya shouted back as she ducked under Christopher's legs then tripped him. His face slammed into the building next to us and he collapsed.

I saw Mitchell's dagger laying on the ground and I grabbed it and continued fighting Pollux, eventually I knocked the sword out of his hand and hit the side of his head with the pommel of the dagger, he fell over and I could tell he was unconscious. I leaned over and put pressure on the large cut on my upper thigh, blood slowly seeped through the leg of my jeans around where I had been hit.

I am definitely gonna need medical attention when we get to camp.

I looked up from the wound and saw that Christopher and Mitchell we're unconscious on the ground. I glanced over at the only fight still going on and watched as Jack cut the side of Nyssa's leg and she fell, only to be hit very hard on the head by the flat of his sword. She then collapsed on the ground as well. Jack stumbled back and leaned against the building, turning his sword back into a watch as he did so, then looked down at his side and began putting pressure on it as it bled.

"Jack!" I shouted as I saw how much he was bleeding.

All three of us stumbled over to him and Sarah helped him sit down before rummaging around in her backpack and pulling a plastic bag that held a small square of ambrosia out and opening it. She broke a piece off and gave it to her brother who was already looking pale. He ate it and gained some color back in his face. Sarah broke another couple pieces off and gave one to me and one to Jack. We both ate the pieces we were given and I instantly felt better as the taste of chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream filled my mouth. Jack ate a third piece and was able to stand up.

"Well, what the Hades was that about?" Sarah asked once she knew that both Jack and I were ok.

"I don't know, but we can't just leave them here, something was clearly wrong with them." I answered. "Did you see their eyes, they were pure black?"

"Yeah, I saw." Maya responded. "What should we do with them, we can't leave them, but what if they wake up and attack us again?"

We all glanced down at the four demigods who not that long ago had been friends of ours. People we had fought side by side with to defend camp and save the world.

"Call Nico." Jack finally said. "He stays at camp all year right?"

"Actually, Hades told him he should try mortal school. He hated the idea at first but gave in eventually." Maya answered. "He's going to the same school as Percy."

"So... what do we do?" I asked.

"I'll try to call him, but I don't know if he'll answer." Maya said as she pulled her demigod-phone, Leo had made one for each of us so we could actually use phones if we didn't have drachmas on hand.

Maya's POV

I clicked on Nico's phone number and it started to ring. After it had rung two times I was about to give up when I heard his voice.

"Maya, you know I'm in school right now, right?" He asked sassily.

"Yes, I know. But this is serious." I said.

"What's wrong? Are you ok? What happened?" He asked, all sign of sassiness gone.

"Ethan, Jack, Sarah and I just got attacked by four campers, there was something wrong with them. We knocked them out, but we don't know what to do." I answered.

"I'll be there in ten minutes, I'm about to get let out of this class, then I'll skip my last one." He responded.

I was about to respond when I heard his teacher shout.

"Nico di Angelo put that phone away before I take it away!" The man's voice shouted.

"Sorry Mr. Black, its an important family thing. Can I finish it please, after that I'll put it away." Nico said.

"Fine, you've got two minutes before I take it and you don't get it back until the end of the day." Mr. Black responded.

"Ok, where are you guys right now?" He asked.

"We're really close to Jack and Sarah's house, should we drag them there and then you meet us there?" I asked.

"Yes, tie their hands and legs just in case they wake up again and are still ready to attack you. I'll be at the house in ten minutes, be ready, and take their weapons away if you haven't already. I need to go so I don't get my phone taken away." He said.

"Ok, bye Nico." I said before hanging up.

"So, what's the plan Maya?" Jack asked.

"Nico's gonna be at your house in ten minutes, lets drag these four there and tie them up until he gets here." I answered.

We dragged them to the door, luckily nobody seemed to notice that there were four middle school kids dragging bodies to a house.

Jack unlocked the door and we all went inside, when we got in the door Nico was sitting on the couch eating a slice of pizza.

"You're a minute late. Let's go." He said as he stood up and grabbed onto mine and Jack's arms.

"Grab onto each other and grab onto them, I'll get us all to camp." He said.

I put my hand on Ethan's shoulder and he grabbed onto Nyssa's and Mitchell's arms, Jack put his hand on Sarah's shoulder and she grabbed onto Cristopher's and Pollux's arms. Suddenly everything went black, and we appeared in the Hades cabin.

I'm doing like I did for The Waking Abyss and giving you the opportunity to create characters that you want me to add to the story because there will be some new characters. I can really only have two more characters so make sure you comment with your character if you want to join. I already have a character from Athensgeek3 that I have accepted and I look forward to bringing into the group. Here is the form I want you to fill out if you wish to have a character put into the story.

Ok, that's it for now. I know it wasn't a very long chapter but the next one is a lot longer, over 4000 words actually, I'm gonna post it right after this so you get a Prologue and 2 chapters today.
