It's been on the backburner for the longest time and I wasn't sure how I wanted to finish this up...Still not completely sure but I promised! I hope you enjoy this short chapter if anyone's still reading! Please comment, like and subscribe! It gives me the will to finish!!! Also I did do the first picture!

The 12 year old was on the verge of tears. "What?" The pair was at her level and gazing into her spectral eyes with not an ounce of hate but another emotion entirely. "Sweetie, we want you to become a Fenton." Maddie reinstated.

"Yes!" The young girl's voice quivered. She had never known what it was to be wanted until Danny and now his family, no her family! She had a family now! She latched to the hulking ,but no longer terrifying, figures in front of her. Danny and Jazz were abruptly pulled into the hug as well. "Yes, yes, and yes!" She repeated to herself more than anything. Dani broke from the hug to take a good look at the people she would now be calling family. She took a breath and changed into her human form. The rest shielded their eyes from the bright rings.

"You're just like Danny." Maddie whispered. She had known this in her head but seeing it was a different story. "Yes.." The young girl confirmed shyly. "Welcome to this crazy family Dani!" Danny spun her around unleashing a giggle from her. Tucker and Valerie stood to the side awkwardly smiling. "Come on lovebirds! You're practically family too!" Danny called to the pair. "We're not lovebirds!" came the expected outburst. Tucker and Valerie then realized Danny was turning their teasing against them. "What guys, can't take your own medicine?" Danny taunted raising a brow at the pair. He noticed their beet red faces and decided to let it go (cue elsa's song XD) ...for the moment.

After Valerie and Tucker left the Fenton's immediately made accommodations for the adolescent ghost girl in their care. Tucker and Valerie had went home to allow the family some privacy. The house was alight with babbling and spouted nonsense but the chaotic energy was comforting to Dani. As the others went to go out to get some basic necessities for her, they would go heavy duty shopping together tomorrow, She glanced quickly at Jazz. She hadn't really gotten to meet the redhead at all. Maybe this was the perfect opportunity. "So um Jazz..." The older teen gave her full attention, "What's up?" "Tell me about yourself. What do you like to do...what are you into?" Jazz perked at this particular question. "Well I am going into Psychology! I want to be a counselor!" Dani knew right away this was Jazz's passion. "That's amazing! You seem really smart!" The older girl blushed at the genuinely sweet compliment. "Thank you Dani. You know, now that we're going to be sisters..." Jazz backtracked. Maybe Dani wasn't ready for that! It was so much for them all to process in so little time! How inconsiderate! " I mean you can call me whatever you like. I know that you've been through a lot." The raven haired girl just smiled and brushed it off. "No, no! You're fine! I am honored to be your sister!" The two girls smiled. Just the thought of an honest to goodness family had her reeling! The craziness of the day had made her fall in love with the whole Fenton clan!

"We're home!" Called the booming voice of Jack. "and we bought almost all of the furniture at the store." Gasped an out of breath Danny. "Oh don't exaggerate sweetie." Maddie responded. Everybody quickly worked to get the furniture and toiletries up the stairs. Working together the ragtag family made the work fun. The family sang songs and goofed off, but still managed to finish relatively fast. It also didn't hurt to have two super strong halfas and a hulking large figure in Jack.

"Well I'd say we're finished Fenton family!" Jack boomed. Maddie kissed her husband's cheek. "I'd say this calls for..." "fudge." The rest of the Fentons excluding Danielle finished half smiling. "Am I that predictable?" Jack chuckled. "That's what we love about you dear." Maddie assured patting his shoulder. "But, how about we have actual food first." Jazz and Danny glanced at each other panicked. "Oh calm down. We're ordering pizza." Maddie sighed. She didn't think her cooking was that terrible, but ecto contamination could do weird things to one's cooking. This put the rest of the family at ease. "Got them on speed dial! Can I have your card dad?" Jack passed his credit card to Jazz to make the purchase. "Sweet cheesy goodness here I come!" Danny fist pumped. "Uh Danny have you have been hanging around Tucker too long?" Jazz joked. At this the raven haired boy rolled his eyes and mimicked her.

He then noticed Danielle. The 12 year old looked a million miles away. "Hey, you ok squirt?" He called tousling her hair. Dani jolted being abruptly shaken from her daydreaming. "Sorry cuz! I was just thinking..." Danny knew the girl must have so much going on. "Hey, We're no longer cousins." The boy smirked. "We're siblings. You better be prepared for lots of me complaining about you being a pain." The girl playfully swatted him. "You also better be prepared for me to come after every boy that dares come near you." His tone was gentle. "Dani I know Vlad may have messed you up but you have us now!" Danielle crouched looking away. " I know. It just feels like it will all disappear in a moment. Also you guys have history. I've never been in a family. How do I act? What do I do?"

The 16 year old offered his hand to help the girl up. "Come on.." Danny gestured with a nod. "I wanna show you something." He offered his hand to his new sister as he transformed into Phantom. "We'll be back in a sec guys!" The Fenton crew nodded. Dani turned into her ghost half and followed suit. "Race ya squirt!" The challenge was not lost on the young halfa who had a gleam in her eye. The pair raced upwards to the Ops  Center. The metallic center gave a clank as the pair lowered to the floor. "Why are we up here and do I smell ham?" The girl gagged.

Danny beckoned the young girl to come. He made his hand intangible and grabbed a worn leather photo album, which seemed to come from the wall, patting the floor next to him. "Why was that thing in the wall?" A confused Danielle questioned. Danny gave her a look. " Do you really think I want this anywhere near Mom's hands? She will show it to everyone including my girlfriend." "Sam you mean?" "...Uhhh unimportant!" Danny backtracked realizing his mistake. "Don't worry, I won't tell." She assured. This conversation was quickly going off the rails. "The point is I wanted you to see this." The girl's electric green eyes tried to decipher and analyze each picture. One had a younger, tinier Danny Fenton with cute chubby cheeks reaching for a ghost plushie. Another showed Jazz in her mother's shoes. The third though was the most interesting. In the picture Danny looked to be around 12, just two years before the fateful accident. He looked upset, like really upset. Jack was behind him with a downcast expression that seemed wrong on the usually cheerful man's face.

This piqued the young girl's interest. "Why were you so upset in this photo Danny?" He sighed lightly. "It's kind of embarrassing. Mom and dad had come the school that day and gave a whole speech on their ghost tech and spectral research. I was so angry that I told them I hated them." Dani could see the 16 year old regretted this. "Jazz took a picture. She said it was to be a future reference to show the damaging effects that their ghost obsession could have on their impressionable child." Danny chuckled. "She really has been a mini adult since childhood hasn't she?" Danny rolled his eyes. "You have no idea."

The funny thing was that his parents still hunted ghosts. "Why didn't they stop? You hated it." This gave the boy a pause. "I guess I got over it. And they got over so many things I and Jazz did. That's what a family is. Unconditional forgiveness." This changed the girl's perspective. "You don't have to earn love here Dani. It's freely given." She leaped into the older boy's arms making him topple over. An echoing laugh came from the teen.

"Come on! Pizza must be here by now and pizza in the Fenton household must be gone by now." The pair phased downstairs just in the nick of time to hear the doorbell.  Danny and Danielle changed back before the door could be open. "I'm so ready for...pizza! Mr. Lancer...?" Jazz was taken aback at the unexpected visitor. "Hello Mr. and Mrs. Fenton, Jazz, Danny, and who is this?" Everyone knew the aforementioned person was Danielle. "This is our newly adopted daughter Danielle." Maddie's voice was the faintest bit tight. She wished she didn't have to explain. She could just refuse to answer. What business did this man have coming here out of the blue and asking questions? The problem was that if she refused to answer that would raise suspicion. "She is part of the extended family." The Fenton matriarch's smile was strained at the lie. After all these years of teaching her children to tell the truth! Sadly, there was no other alternatives at the moment. "And if I may ask Mrs. Fenton, what happened to her parents." Maddie looked downward as if disturbed. The older woman shook her head softly. "There was an accident.." Mr. Lancer coughed nervously. "I'm so sorry! No need to explain further."

"Mr. Lancer may I ask why you've come here tonight?" Jack piped up finally.  "I apologize for the intrusion. I had something to give to Mr. Fenton." The teacher held out a CD that made Danny freeze.

It was the CD he had gotten from Ember.....
