AN: An Update! It's a Christmas Miracle! Merry Christmas guys! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas. Never forget about it's true meaning. It's not presents, or food. He came to die for you as foretold by the gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh used in burial. That baby would become the man who died on the cross for you and me so we could be free. I CANNOT say thank you enough for every nice comment, every vote, and read! On to the chapter.. Anyway I love ya'll and I did my best to make this chapter extra long. You might be surprised by a certain someone you love to hate. ;)

               Jack and Maddie Fenton were speechless as their son stood in front of them. How had they not seen it? They had tried to capture their own son! The pair felt sick to the stomach just thinking of it. How even was it possible? They looked at him and saw the red eyes. Something was different though. They held no malice or hatred. They knew their son was back.

              "Mom? Dad?" Danny whispered with a hoarse voice. "Danny!" Maddie was the first to take her baby boy in her arms. "Oh Danny, we're so sorry! How..." Danny's mom's mumbled sobs were barely heard. Tears began to fall freely from the ghostly teen's face as well. "It's Okay mom. You didn't know." For once Danny felt fully at peace. 

            Danny glanced at his dad from the view of his mom's shoulders. He recognized the look of confusion and guilt etched on the large man's features. The boy reached out an arm motioning to his dad to join and gave a watery smile.  Jack did just that. He picked up his wife and son and never wanted to let them go. "Danny..." "I know dad. I know. It's ok."

          Valerie couldn't believe it. Danny was the ghost she had thought was evil. She didn't know how it was possible. She couldn't comprehend it. She had to leave to think things through. The teen wanted badly to apologize, but couldn't at the moment. She quietly snuck out as the Fenton family had their moment. She wasn't getting any sleep tonight.

         Sam and Tucker , once again fully human, watched the Fenton family, happy for their friend. Sam knew what a relief that would be for Danny. She had caught a glimpse of the still red eyes. What was happening to her friend? Vlad had controlled him and escaped, but had he been the reason for all the changes happening to Danny? There was also another thing. How much did Danny remember?

        Danny broke away from the hug to look at his friends. "Guys, what happened exactly? Who was Desiree working for?" Sam wasn't sure whether to be relieved or crushed that Danny didn't remember her confession. "And how exactly did I get freed?" "It was Vlad. And I'm not sure exactly how, but it seems as confessions of love did it." Danny smiled. "My parents?" Tucker nodded. "Yeah, and Ow uh your willpower I guess hehe." Tucker thought that Sam would have wanted Danny to know she loved him, but the jab in the side proved him wrong. "What else happened?" "Well um" Tucker didn't know how to say it. Danny had a bad feeling in the pit of his stomach. "Did I hurt someone? Tucker please answer me." The techno geek looked down in shame. "We both did. Dash was trapped in ice. I went back for him ,but he had no pulse." "WHAT!!!" Danny gave a scream that almost gave way to his wail. "Calm down. Your cousin took him to the hospital." "Danni?" "Yeah.  I really hope he'll be Ok. She's fast." It was then Danny's parent's stepped in. "You don't have a cousin named Danny." They both spoke up confused. "Um I have a lot of explaining to do don't I?" The teen gave a nervous smile. "Mom, dad, can we go to the hospital to see Dash. I'll explain some more things in the car ride." He then stopped in his tracks. "Wait! The school! I did this." Sam put an arm on his shoulder. "Amity Parks has funds for this because of all the ghost attacks. It'll be fixed in no time." He looked down to meet her eyes. "How will you get home? I mean you and Tucker?" The goth searched for Valerie but saw no sign of her and... "Paulina! Where'd she go?" Sam panicked. "Paulina?" Danny asked confused. "Yes, I almost suffocated her to death, but she was breathing and had a pulse, but I don't know where she is now. She then saw then noticed a car outside. The Guys in White speaking to a dark haired girl in a pink shirt. "Um guys! You better go!" Sam whispered. "The GIW are here." Danny wasn't in the mood to deal with them right now. "Sam, Tuck are you coming?" He called behind as they ran to the RV. All ran to the safety of the RV, which was on the opposite end. Danny breathed as they escaped. 

             "Which way is Amity Hospital?" Jack asked. "Just stay on the Interstate Jack." Maddie answered. The pair found comfort in doing something medial as driving and directions. It kept the guilt away. "Mom, dad, are you sure you're ok?" Danny asked from behind now in his human form. "Yes son, but we're still taking this all in. It's all kind of hard to believe." The large man paused for a moment. "Danny you've had these powers for 2 years?" "Yes." Danny answered quietly. "Who else knew?" Danny glanced at his friends beside him. "We did Mr.Fenton." Sam spoke up. "We were there when it happened. I actually kind of convinced Danny to go inside the portal." The goth admitted. She glanced at Danny apologetically. In response he held her hand and smiled a half smile. "It's ok." The blue eyed teen whispered. "Anyone else?" Maddie asked. "Jazz." Was Danny's reply. The parents eyes widened. "She was covering for you all this time, wasn't she?" Jack questioned. "Yes." Jack and Maddie couldn't imagine all the things their son had been through. "She protected you from us." Maddie whispered. Danny hated to see the pain on his parent's face. He knew that they never would have hurt him on purpose. "Mom stop, please. I'm fine. No harm no foul right?" The halfa joked trying to ease the tension. "That's not funny Danny! Do you even know what could have happened?" Maddie was crying once more. "I'm your mom and I tried to hurt my own baby! You were probably scared out of your mind! It is wrong for a son to be scared of his own parents!!!" Maddie's voice had risen a bit by that point. Tucker and Sam stood silent wishing they could leave so the family could talk it out. Danny was taken aback as to how much this affected his mom. He knew his dad  was affected by his mom's words as well. He put a hand on her shoulder from the backseat. "Look mom, dad I will admit that at first I was really scared. Scratch that, terrified of what happened. I had become the thing you despised the most! There had been many times I wanted to tell you but couldn't. I let my fear get in the way. Then you began hunting Danny Phantom and I really was not going to say anything. But then something happened and my secret was revealed to the world and I somehow erased everyone's memories. Don't ask." He put a hand up as he saw his parents opening their mouths to speak. "And you know what. You accepted me then. From then on I never had any more doubts that when you knew you would still love me. It was more after that point that I wanted you to trust me as Phantom first." The boy sighed. "I pictured it going a lot better then this mess." Maddie smiled a tiny smile. "Oh sweetie, I'm just glad we found out. I really wouldn't have wanted this to go any further than it did. Now you don't have to be afraid anymore. I can't say enough how sorry we are." Danny couldn't have asked for more. "One more question for tonight Danno." Jack said in a voice that was a whisper for him. "Are you happy? I mean with being half ghost." Danny noticed the guilt in his father's voice. "Yes dad, I am actually. It's great lots of the time. Flying is the best." Jack and Maddie were still in shock that their child was able to do such things but glad that he had accepted and enjoyed it for the most part. "If your happy Danny then I'm happy." Was Jack's reply. He really did love his son. And the best part was that he fought ghosts! 'Wait stop Jack your losing track again!' The large man chided himself. He heard Danny tell him. "Thanks dad. That means a lot." 

               As the RV pulled up to the hospital, Danny's stomach dropped. "He better not be dead." The teen muttered under his breath as he exited the car. Tucker came out after him. "So are you gonna fly us up there and check then fly out if he's ok?" Tucker asked. Danny shook his head. "We're gonna go in and apologize." Tucker gaped. "Uh what? How are we gonna do that! I'm not ghostly anymore." Danny considered before answering. "We'll tell him everything." Tucker looked at his best friend as if he had lost his mind. "Um are you sure you're not being controlled anymore? I mean that or sick. Very very sick and it's affecting your mind or something? Maybe overshadowed by one of your enemies. That's it ghost! Get out of my friend right now or I'll..." "Tuck quit it!!!"Danny shouted. Tucker was shaking Danny by this point. "I am not overshadowed Tucker. I'm not sick, or controlled. I think he deserves to know. We almost killed him if he isn't dead already,God no, don't go there Fenton." The techno geek knew Danny would never forgive himself if that happened. He nodded and followed his best friend in up to the entrance and then remembered....It was a HOSPITAL!!!!! Tucker started breathing rapidly much  to Danny's confusion. "Tuck?" Danny then realized why. "Oh Tucker! How could I forget! Why don't you go back to the RV." Tucker slowly backed away until he reached safety while stuttering the words..."Doctors....needles....Hospital." Danny glanced back then walked into the sterile white environment of Amity Hospital.

           Danny asked the nearest nurse where he could find Dash Baxter. She phoned the doctor which took a few minutes. They were the longest few minutes of Danny's life. When she returned he was on edge. Relief came when he found that not only Dash was alive ,but already out of intensive care. He nearly flew up to the room. He was going in human form so he wouldn't terrify Dash. Last time the football star had seen him in ghost form he was covering him in ice almost killing him! As he saw the room number he took a breath. Could he really do this and tell Dash Baxter his greatest secret. Maybe he was sick as Tucker said. Before he could talk himself out of this he knocked on the door. 

          "Who is it?" Called a raspy voice. Danny opened the door a crack so Dash could see him. "Danny?" Rasped Dash. That was strange. Dash never called him Danny. It was usually Fenton at best, or Fenturd at worst. Never ever Danny. "You called me Danny." The boy stated monotonously. Dash's eyes widened. "um I was just surprised it was you. What are you doing here Fentonio." Not even Fenturd? Dash must be worse off than he thought. "Dash I'm really sorry for what happened." The dark haired teen started. "And why are you sorry. Did you land me in here?" The blonde questioned eyebrows raised. "Actually..." Danny began ,but was cut off. "Actually It's me who should be saying sorry to you Danny." Danny's eyes were bugging out now. Was he dreaming? The football star laughed. "You don't believe this is real huh?" Danny slowly shook his head just as Tucker and Sam had done with The Lunch Lady. "Wish it wasn't, otherwise I wouldn't be in here." Danny bit back another dose of guilt. Dash looked Danny straight in the eyes. "The thing is Danny, I know your Phantom."

            To say Danny was shocked that Dash had figured it out was understatement of the year. "But how?!!" The blonde tried to sit up in the hospital bed. "Well first of all you knew my name. I thought you would have forgotten after us only meeting once. That thing with the casual Friday or something should have given it away. Then you said something about me being too dumb to figure out and that other ghost kinda looked like your geek of a friend." Danny glared while Dash backtracked. "I mean your friend Foley. How did that happen anyway?" "Wishing ghost." Danny stated dryly. "Ok uh so I finally put two and two together." The blonde smirked but it quickly faded. "Danny I know your going to say sorry and such and such. Don't worry about it. You were being controlled right?" "Yes, but still! I could have killed you! Are you not the least bit angry?" Danny could not believe any of this was real. Dash smiled a bitter smile. "You know Danny, I was horrible on you so many times. Wouldn't you think I deserved it?" "No!" Was the dark haired boy's quick response. "Nobody deserves to die." Dash laughed ironically. "Ha you least deserved it and you half died!" Danny hadn't really thought of himself as half dead that much. It really was sobering as it was a confusing concept. "Look Danny, do you want to know something. Hurt people hurt people. It's a way of life." Dash's expression turned grim. "My mom is a few doors down from here." He stated quietly. "Juvenile diabetes is a slow killer. First it's not to bad. Then you start losing kidney functions. That's when it goes downhill. Pneumonia what she came in here for. Now she's lost all brain function. She's been in and out of hospitals since I can remember. My dad can't cope. He's harsh on me to be strong and never show weakness. Even beat people down if I have to." Danny was silent. He had no idea Dash had been going through this. "Dash I..." The boy held up his hand as high as he could. "Save it Fenton. It wasn't meant to be a sob story so you'd feel pity. I wanted to let you know why I am the way I am. It's no excuse, I know. In a way it's me saying.....sorry." The boy looked worn down from sharing with Danny. Danny realized how many times he had considered doing awful things to Dash with his powers. "Dash, I really am sorry about your mom, but you can still choose to change. You gotta realize hurt is a never ending cycle. Where does it stop?" Dash considered this. "How did you never use your powers against me Fenton, I mean Danny? I mean you might have pranked me a few times now that I look back, but never anything serious. Others, they would have done 10 times worse to me." Danny smiled. "Dash, just because I could have didn't mean it was the right thing to do." At this the blonde teen sighed. "I never will understand you will I?" The ghostly powered teen laughed. "I try to do the right thing most of the time." "I know Mr.Goody two-Shoes! To think all this time the nerd I wailed on was a superhero. It's just to ironic." Both boys burst out laughing at this. The nurse came in and looked reproachfully causing them to laugh even more. When they finally settled down Danny took a breath. "Dash I wanted to tell you I am so sorry for what happened. Even if I was controlled...." "Stop! I'm alive aren't I?" "Yes and I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm super glad you are." "Then cut it out." "Ok Dash ok." Danny wondered how long he would be in here. "Dash when will you get discharged." The other boy shrugged. "They said it wouldn't be too long if things keep going how their going. Whoever brought me here was fast." Danny smiled. "That would be my cousin Danni." Dash slapped a hand to his face. "Was one Danny Fenton not enough! Why?" He joked. Danny chuckled and made his way to the door. "Keep me posted Baxter." He called behind him. "Alright Fenton. I'll do what I can." Was the jock's response. 

        Danny couldn't believe it. The last 10 minutes or so had made him think that people really could change. He would also consider that he didn't know a person's full story. As he got in the RV, a wide grin plastered on his face Tucker looked at the boy as if he had gone totally insane. "What happened in there man?" Danny just shook his head. " You wouldn't believe me if I told you Tuck."
