News Report

{Thursday, August 7, 2014/9:00pm}

"Good evening," a female reporter on the Canterlot News Center show says sadly from the huge television in Rainbow Manor's living room, "I am Cassidy Stevens. The story for tonight is a rather sad one. In the city of Cloudsdale, there was a terrible car crash on Third Street and Solaris Avenue at four o' clock this afternoon, resulting in the injury of sixteen-year-old Roxanne Dash, who was rushed to Cloudsdale Hospital moments after the crash. Known as 'Roxxi' to her friends and family, she is popular, gorgeous, Canterlot High's star athlete, and her sister, Selena Dash, told us she is an amazing artist and dancer -"

"My baby," Roxanne's mother, Roxlyn, says sadly, weeping into her husband's chest.

"Luckily, Roxxi is still alive, as sources tell us," Cassidy says from the TV, "It turns out that the person who drunkenly crashed their R-Tech M-4 vehicle into Roxxi's R-Tech M-6 convertible was sixteen-year-old Thomas Lane, who happens to be Roxxi's boyfriend. Did he have any idea that he nearly killed his own girlfriend?! I can't -"

"Turn off the TV," Roxlyn tells her husband angrily, who immediately shuts the television off.

Internet Vigil

{9:27pm, The Diamond Residence, Ponyville, Equestria}

      Hello, I am Reese Diamond! I invited my besties to my Victorian-style mansion in Old Ponyville for a sleepover after we left Cloudsdale Hospital, where our other bestie, Roxanne "Roxxi" Dash (bestest bestie), had been rushed to after her asshole boyfriend crashed into her brand-new, bright red, fabulous, R-Tech M-6 convertible.

      R-Tech is only, like, the best company in Equestria. It dabbles in pretty much everything (vehicles, computers/tablets, etc.).

      I have my R-Tech tablet set up so that my other besties, Piper Pierce, Fawn Sherman, and Amelia "A.J." Jameson Jr., can record our "We Love and Miss You" video for Roxxi and post it on VideoAddict.com (better than YouTube, if you ask me ;P). We begin to record.

"Hello, Dashie, darling," I say with a smile, trying to hold in my tears.

"HI, ROXXI!," Piper yells like a maniac at 9:30pm, her ginger and pink curls in my damn face, "WE LOVE YOU!"

"Pinkie," Amelia, our blonde cowgirl, says to Piper with a smirk, her southern accent thicker than usual as she calls Piper by her nickname, "I'm sure Dash heard ya all the way from this damn mansion. Calm yourself. (*To the camera*) Hey Dash. I miss ya already. Can't wait 'til you're back home safe."

"Hey, Roxxi," Fawn says to the camera with a smile, her soft voice barely audible, "I just hope you're okay. Without you, I'd prooobably still be locked in a locker at Cloudsdale Academy. Thank you for being my friend. (*Tearing up*) I dunno why you befriended me. I'm so useless -"

"Fawn!," I say as I try to get Piper to sit down, shocked at Fawn's behavior, "You are not useless! You are absolutely, without a doubt, wonderful, darling!"

"Th-thanks, Reese," Fawn says shyly, hiding under her light-blonde hair with pastel-pink streaks in it.

"Of course, dear," I say matter-of-factly, grinning, "I won't let my BFF's put themselves, or anyone else, down."

      We finish our video and post it. We then share it via SociallyAwkward.com, a.k.a. "SA", a great site that makes our social lives easier. We share it to the Wondercolts Social SA group's page, which catches the attention of our fellow Canterlot High students (their personal SA pages are linked to the "Wondercolts Social" group on SA).

      We start chatting live with other CHS students who love Roxxi, waving phone candles from an R-Tech app, creating some sort of internet vigil-thing. Gosh, we're acting like Roxxi fucking died!
