" Darling, what do you think trash or keep?"

"Keep the pink dress, it frames your body and shows off your legs plus it makes you look young...the other one what brand is it anyway?"

"It's BRIONI"
I scrunched up my nose, who is...

"Definitely keep the pink dress"
My mum let out an exasperated sight.

"Look we can't think like that anymore, even the cheap things are nice"

"Yup, whatever you say"
She finally left my room; I scooped up a pile of clothes and dumped them on my bed, trying to sort them out. My phone buzzed a text from Sasha;

Hey do you want to come to the beach with me and Lucy should cheer you up :)

I ignored the message focusing on the mountain of clothes that were occupying my bed, I was about to grab my favorite outfit when mum came barging into my room AGAIN!!

"Oh Alexa I can't wait for us to go, a change of scenery, new people!!" My mum was practically squealing at this point.

"Do you need help?" One glance at my room and she answered her question.

"Actuall-"

"Obviously I'll help"
She picked up my precious heels that were made by Luis Vuitton and threw them into the trash pile, I gave her a questioning look but she simply ignored me. So instead I took action by reclaiming back my heels and storing them in the suitcase away from her delicate palms.

"What do you think your doing?"

"Packing my shoes mum!" The frustration was evident in my voice.

"I can see that, but you don't need it you have lots of pairs already"

"And..."

"And I say you don't need it!"

She grabbed my shoes with a vice like grip, my blood was boiling at this point. I needed to calm down, remembering the text form Sash I grasp my phone and type back a quick response.
Slipping on my flat pink sandals, I rushed out of my chaotic room neglecting the hurricane of questions that were being launched at me.

Luckily she didn't follow me out, I could hear the distant waves calling out to me. Florida was always busy filled with tourists and stars, fortunately it was nearing September which meant less people and more peace and quiet.

As I neared the coast I could see the waves crashing violently on the sand, two heads were gazing at the ocean. I walked over to Sasha and Lucy, I haven't seen them in what felt like forever.

"Hey guys!"

"Yay you came!" Lucy exclaimed

"What changed your mind" Sash asked

"Just needed air that house was beginning to feel like prison"

"Everyone misses you at school" they said in unison
Not surprised. I gave them a nod and a smile, I wasn't planning on telling them  about the plan my mum came up with.
Lucy pulled out her fag and lighter taking a long drag, blowing out a cloud of smoke.

I snatched it out of her hands, breathing out puffs of smoke, feeling the awful taste in my mouth yet feeling great as I felt the stress disappear.

"You know you could've just asked right?"

"Thanks!" I beamed

"No! That was my last one" she groaned

" Well you know what they say, sharing is caring" I gave her wink
And we all bursted out in fits of giggles, finishing the cigarette I threw it onto the sand stepping on it.

Hours passed before we decided to go our separate ways, I wasn't ready to face mum so I decided to stay with Lucy for the night. Saying bye to Sash me and Lucy headed to hers, it was 7pm by the time we got back.

Lucy's parents weren't home so we both agreed to open a bottle of Vodka , whilst Lucy was in the bath I downed nearly half the bottle. I reeked of alcohol, the chemicals taking effect making me forget. Forget everything, and so I drank more and more until I was in another world.
