Pretending to be tough in a place where magical essence was so pure was hard for Gun Gun. He didn't love the place, he adored it. Surprisingly enough, their magical essence was very compatible with his.

"They're gawking at me. Why is that?" he asked Cheng Yu, not bothering to quiet down.

"Err... because you look like His Majesty?" she supplied, sounding unsure.

Gun Gun sniffed. "It's just because of the hair. So what? Don't you have people who also have white hair here?" there were many in Alfheim, but they didn't really have the exact same shade, so Gun Gun supposes this one could be an exception.

When they settled into a large receiving hall, Gun Gun settled to sit using a meditation posture. Back in A-Li's Hall, he tried doing it as his mother did, but only ended up receiving a painful leg cramp, numbness to his legs, and pained joints that made him stumble shamefully when he got up.

There was a fan bearing uncle sitting in the Hall when they arrived, and like the others, also gawked, that he forgot that he was supposed to pour the tea into his teacup. Instead, the tea landed on his robes, and it took him more than three seconds to register that, yes, he had been burned, quite closely to the crotch.

A little bit of magic, and his robe was as good as new, but he was still flabbergasted with Gun Gun's appearance.

"That is my Third Grand-uncle, Third Prince, Lian Song," A-Li whispered to him, then hurriedly added. "In case you make that mistake earlier."

"I said his name exactly as you told me," he argued back. "You mouthed 'Tee-jun' so I called him that."

"It's 'Dijun'! Not 'Tee-jun'!" A-Li hissed back.

Third Prince Lian Song turned his gaze to A-Li, giving him a hesitant grin. "A-Li, Lord Cheng Yu! What a surprise to see you here!" then he gestured to his direction. "And who is this?"

"Blessings and graces to the Third Prince Lian Song. My name is Gun Gun," he curtly greeted, just as another servant, probably the white-haired uncle's, Dijun's, he clarified, right-hand man, named Zhong Lin guided him to his seat where he was served with a table full of sweets.

He knew that Third Prince Lian Song was watching him, and that he had a grin. "A respectful child," he mused. "Who was it that taught you manners?"

He was addressing him, obviously. "There were a lot. My mother was first, because I would not listen to my governor," well, that was after the tantrum incident in front of the Allfather, and what made the tantrum worse was that it was in Valhalla.

'Wait. Why am I even telling them about this?'

In any case, he needs to find his Enchantress Mother. Who knows what mayhem he'd caused after his disappearance in Valhalla? Who knows if Celeste hadn't yet flooded the palace grounds?

"So you are looking for your Mother?" Dijun asked him from his seat, which was on the front, elevated a few inches. "Shouldn't it be the other way around?" he wasn't looking at him, but the contents of his teacup.

Gun Gun looked at A-Li and Cheng Yu, wondering if he should answer. This Dijun looked like someone very important, so he should be careful in choosing his words, lest he wants more trouble. Cheng Yu nodded, a sign for him to answer.

"My mother has been gone for 3 years, while that is just a short time, I was worried because my caretaker had heard she was missing, but Her Ladyship the Queen informed me that she was nursing her injuries after her essence was severely damaged in the war," Third Prince Lian Song was looking at him then to Dijun. "I don't remember much of what happened in the throne room, but when I woke up, I was already lying in Zhuxian Terrace. That was how a knight found me and brought me to High Goddess Bai Qian."

"And your mother is?"

"Enchantress Freya of the Frost," Gun Gun answered, pride coating his voice which he tried so hard to control, but when he heard their next words, he faltered. "What do you mean you don't know who my mother is?" everyone knows who Enchantress Freya is.

Cheng Yu bit her lips. "Well, for one thing, the name is very strange, and I don't think we have a title named Enchantress here," but seeing Gun Gun's sad look, she rushed to quickly comfort him. She really hated people crying because of her. Well, anyone except for Lian Song, that is. "How about this? You describe her physically and we'll try to piece it together."

Oh. Oh wow.

Gun Gun wanted to smack himself. Why did he forget that he brought with him a scrying device? He could've found his Enchantress Mother ages ago!

He held out his palm and summoned his scrying device. It was a big crystal glass ball, the stand made out of pure gold and outlined with rubies, twisting and winding.

"That looks really fragile," A-Li commented, sitting closer to him to poke the crystal glass. The crystal resonated with his magical essence, creating a cloud of pale red and gray inside the glass.

Gun Gun hovered his palm around the crystal and directed his essence at it. "It's dwarf-made, so it won't break," his magical essence created a cloud of the same color and morphed inside the crystal glass to form a beautiful image of his Enchantress Mother, when they would go for a ride in her chariot. He presented Third Prince Lian Song with the crystal glass.

Third Prince Lian Song nearly dropped the scrying device.

"You know who she is," it wasn't a question, it was a statement. Third Prince Lian Song handed his scrying device to Dijun.

There was a long silence that passed.

Finally, Dijun put down the scrying device to meet his gaze. "Your mother is Bai Feng Jiu?" for some reason, Gun Gun thought that Dijun was struggling to say that name.

Gun Gun tilted his head. "I guess?"

The Little Dough gasped. "Big Sister Feng Jiu is your mother? How come I didn't know?"

With crossed brows, Gun Gun turned to A-Li. "Big Sister? My Enchantress Mother does not have any brother, or any sibling for that matter."

"I'm her cousin, so you should call me Uncle!"

Gun Gun gave him a blank stare.
