Rose's POV
I wake up to the soft rumble of an engine. I blink my eyes open to adjust to the lighting of the sun beaming in the windows. I sit up and the seat follows my movements and a greeting slips through the radio.

"Good morning...sleep well?"

"Yeah, I did. Thanks." I look out the window to see that we are in mission city. Why would we be here? Then I see that we turned to go into a medical supply building. There are two guards up front at the gate and one in a box operator that manages the gate. Weird. Why would there be guards at a medical facility?

Bumblebee passes through the gate checkpoint without even giving them any identification. Bumblebee pulls into a hangar full of nice looking cars and soldiers. I turn towards the backseat and shake Mason awake.

"Mason, wake up." I tap his arm and he stirs awake. He sits up and looks around with a look of confusion. Bumblebee comes to a stop, opens his door as a sign for us to get out. I climb out with Mason right behind me as soldiers make their way towards us. One soldier stood out to me.

"Lieutenant Colonel Lennox?" He just chuckles as he and another man step forward.

"Nice to see you again Rose." He says as the man next to him sticks his hand out to me.

"Robert Epps, but you can just call me Epps." I shake his hand.

"Rosalie, but you can call me Rose." I say shaking his hand. "Um...may I ask why we are in a medical supply facility?" Mason has his hand gripping my shirt as the soldiers form a semi circle around us, with the cars behind and off to the side of us.

"Sorry for the inconvenience Rose, buts it's for your two's safety." Will says.

"Safety? Look if it was about that night, I already told you everything." I say in defense. "It's you guys who are being all secrecy." I use air quotes around the word secrecy.

"Colonial Lennox is right Ms. Moore." I freeze, I didn't tell anyone here my last name. And the voice came from behind me. I turn around to see the same Semi truck that was at the diner.

"I know for a fact that was not Bumblebee..." I say, with a few people laughing quietly. The cars that are behind us, begin to transform just like Bumblebee. Just after maybe a few short minutes, tall robotic beings stand before us, Bumblebee among them.

"Precisely Rosie, we aren't Bumblebee." Wait. That voice sounds oddly familiar. I turn my head slightly to the right, where a red bot stood smiling. I look at him confused then he transforms back into his vehicle mode. It was a red Corvette Stingray, the door swings open and a familiar looking person comes out.

"Skylar?" I say even more confused.

"In the flesh." He smirks as the biggest of them steps forward and kneels in front of me.

"B-but how?" I ask flabbergasted. The Semi truck starts talking, drawing my attention back.

"Rose, my name is Optimus Prime, leader of the Autobots. We are autonomous robotic organisms, but you can call us Autobots for short. We come from a planet far from here known as Cybertron. Our planet, Cybertron was once a powerful empire, peaceful and just, until Megatron, leader of the Decepticons betrayed us. Those who defied him were destroyed. Our war consumed the planet, and the Allspark was lost to the stars. Megatron followed it here and that's how we came to your planet. After many years of searching, we still haven't found the Allspark."

I stand there intently listening to everything. So the Decepticons, want power and have been destroying cities in search of the Allspark? Was that the reason of the attack on Chicago?

"You're not afraid of us?" Optimus asks surprised, and I shake my head. Memories of my childhood come back and I smile.

"I've met one of you awhile back, when I was seven." I say, with very little details. My memory a little hazy from over the years.

"Who might this Autobot be? Do you remember what this Autobot looks like or their designation?" Optimus asks, just as a black green hatchback drives into the base.

Narrative POV
"Sorry I'm late Big Rig." The black hatchback says as he transforms and walks up beside Optimus. "What did I miss?" He asks.

"No...is it really you?" Rose says as she listens to a voice she heard many years ago. Haejax looks down and his optics widen slightly.

"No way...Rosie?" He asks with a smile.

"Haejax? I thought you left, I never knew you were still here on earth." Rose says with a matching happy smile.

"Of course I'm still here, I just had to lay low for awhile." He says happily. "How've you been kid?" He asks. Rose smiles but then turns into a frown, but quickly smiles again.

"I've been pretty good, oh Haejax, this is my little brother Mason." Haejax catches the quick change of facial features, but doesn't say anything. He smiles down at Mason.

"Nice to meet ya squirt." He says.

"Hi." Mason waves looking at the Autobots in awe.

"Wait how do you know Haejax?" Will asks with a confused look.

"We met when my stasis pod crashed in her backyard." Haejax explains.

"You revealed us to humans when we are suppose to be in disguise." A big black bot grumbles. Hey, he seems familiar too. Could he be Ron? Nah.

"Oh I'm sorry, but that's kind of what happens when you send a CHILD off-world on their own." He says crossing his arms.

"Don't get mad at him, he wasn't seen by anyone else. Just me and I never told a soul." Rose tries to defend Haejax.

"Well, now the entire U.S. Army knows about us, so I'm sure it's fine." Haejax says with a chuckle. "Right Hide?" He says looking back, as the black mech grumbles. The black bot Rose assumes is Hide just growls.

"I'm sorry, I don't know many of your names." Rose says as all eyes land on her and Mason.

"Well I call them all by nicknames. Do you know any of them?" Haejax asks Rose.

"It's weird you guys sound familiar." Rose says, but points to Bumblebee. "That's Bumblebee, but that's it, except I know you Haejax, and Optimus."

"I'm hurt that you don't recognize us Rosie." Rose looks over to a silver bot.

"James?" Rose asks, but the bot only laughs. Haejax laughs as he looks over to Jazz.

"Wow Jazzie, good to know I'm not the only one she's caught." He says with a smile. "That's Jazz, Optimus' first lieutenant." He introduces.

"Nice to meet you again 'lil lady." Jazz says in an accent, kind of like a rapper.

"Oh, sorry, and hey you can't blame me. I haven't seen you in years, I thought you went back home." Rose playfully pouts and crosses her arms for effect.

"Back home huh?" Haejax says glancing at Jazz.

"Hey she is asking you not me partner." Jazz laughs as he puts his hands up. Mason starts to laugh at their behavior.

"Gotta love the fact that we can still act like kids at the base." Haejax says with a laugh. "And about the home thing, we don't really have it anymore." Haejax says. Rose frowns.

"That's what Optimus was telling me when I got here. But thank you, all of you." Rose says looking at every bot in the room.

"We should be thanking you. Actually letting us stay here, and keeping our secret." Haejax says.

"But I know you guys aren't getting the thanks you deserve for saving earth and us so many times. I know what happened in Chicago wasn't your fault. I'm grateful for what you guys are doing for us. Even if others won't say it, I will." Rose explains with a smile.

"That means a lot Rose." Haejax says with a smile.

"We are thankful for your words Rose, but our job isn't done until the Decepticons are gone." Optimus says kneeling.

"You two will be staying here under our protection for the time being." Will says walking up to us.

"Wait, I can't afford to miss work and Mason can't miss school." Rose speaks up.

"Don't worry, you'll get an escort to those places." Haejax explains with a smile.

"Oh good, cause I'm not sure how I would explain this to Ruby and Gary. They would be short hand at the diner." Rose says with relief. Haejax smiles down at her and says,

"We got your back Rosie."

"With that being said, we need to assign you two guardians." Optimus says looking over his comrades.

"I'll do it." Haejax says, jumping at the idea. "I was the one she saw first after all." He adds with a small laugh.

"You already have a charge Haejax." Sideswipe says. Haejax groans quietly.

"It's alright Jax, you'll see me all the time since I will be here. And you guys are more than welcome to come to my house and stay." Rose says patting his leg. Haejax smiles down at her and asks,

"So who is her guardian going to be?" Optimus looks over his comrades thinking to himself.

"Jazz, you will be Mason's guardian." Optimus says.

"Oh yeah, little man we will be having fun!" Jazz says kneeling close to Mason, and Mason smiles.

"Bumblebee will be Rose's guardian." Optimus says as Haejax grins.

"That is a perfect match up." He states with a laugh.

"So....do I..." Bumblebee says, and Will claps his hands together getting our attention.

"Alright, I think it's time to get you settled in. We'll show you around the base and where you'll be staying." Will walks away and Mason and I follow him with Epps.

"This'll be fun." Haejax says with a smile.

"Yo Haejax, where is your charge?" Jazz asks, turning towards the other mech.

"I think she's waiting in the humans area of the base for Lennox to bring back the newbies." He explains.

"Well Haejax, go get her. We will meet you over by the training area." Will says walking out of the hanger.

"Alright boss." He says as he transforms and drives away. Rose laughs softly, remembering how Jax was when they first met.

Rose's POV
Will showed Mason and I to our rooms first. We went through several hallways, two rights and a left, or was it two lefts and a right? I can tell I'm already going to get lost in this maze of a place.

"Rose your room is right here," Will says opening a door on the right. I walk in to see a bed in the far corner. There is a dresser on the wall opposite of the bed, and another door off to the side of the dresser. "And Mason, this is your room. Right across from your sister, and both rooms have an attached bathroom."

I walk in my room and place my bag on the bed, taking in the new look of my temporary room. I walk out of the room and shut the door. I face Will and say,

"Thanks Will." Mason comes out and also thanks him too.

"Alright for the tour." Will takes us down another couple of hallways that lead to the mess hall or cafeteria, whatever you wanna call it. There were a good handful of solders in there, chatting to one another. We continue walking and come to a very large door.

"This is the rec room, where soldiers and Autobots come to relax. You can watch tv, movies, play games on a game station, air hockey, or even pool." Will explains as I observe all the decor in the room. A very large tv is hanging up on a wall, a wall with shelves is filled with games and movies. This place kind of seems like home, but just...bigger.

"Cool, I know where I will be!" Mason says looking at a room that would be like heaven for a gamer. Will and I both chuckle at him.

"Next I will show you two the training room and the pool." Pool? They even have a pool here? We walk down a long hallway to another hanger that has weapons lining on one wall, a boxing like arena in the far left corner, and mats on the right side of the hanger. That's probably for close combat training maybe? There are soldiers in here training.

Some of the Autobots are in here too. Jazz, Bumblebee, Haejax, Hide, and a red bot.

"Yo little man, what's a crackin'?" Jazz says coming up to us. Mason laughs and fist bumps with Jazz.

"I'm liking this place, they have a game room!" Mason yells happily.

"What games do you like kid?" The red bot asks.

"Easy Sideswipe, he may not play the games you like." Jazz replies.

"Do you play Just Dance, Halo, or Call of Duty?" Mason questions, with an eyebrow raised. I'm assuming Sideswipe was actually shocked.

"No way, you and me are going to verse later." Sideswipe says and Mason nods his head. I hear someone stop next to me and see that it's Hide and Haejax.

"How are ya settlin in Rosie?" Haejax asks with a smile.

"I'm okay, but I'm sure I'll get lost." I giggle returning the smile.

"Haejax, is Clem here?" Wills yells looking up at him.

"Clem?" I question aloud, confused. He couldn't be talking about Clementine, the girl I work with at the diner, right?

"Yeah she's on her way." Haejax says. "She had to help Que with something that only her little hands could get in a gun I think." He adds as a girl with bright blue hair walks in with a smile.

"Que?" I ask again not familiar with the name. Soon a figure comes up next to Haejax, and I recognized her instantly."Clem?!" I yell shocked.

"I guess we are full of surprises today." Jazz laughs.

"Hey Rosie!" Clem says with a smile.

"W-what, how, w-when?!" I exclaim with confusion just as Will, Epps, and a few of the Autobots laugh.

"I have known of them since they got here pretty much." Clem says. "Ratchet crashed close to my house." She adds with a laugh. I turn to look at Haejax with a hurt expression.

"Huh, so you talk to her but not to me, Jax?" I say turning away from him, acting like I was hurt. I quickly wink to the others as I tease the said Autobot.

"Awe come on Rose, I'm her guardian. I gotta stick with her." Haejax responds.

"Sure," I say with my back facing him. I roll my eyes and smile since Haejax can't see.

"You know I would've said something if I knew you two knew each other." Clem whispers to me with a smile.

"I would hope so, but you do knowing just teasing him, right?" I whisper back with a smile matching hers.

"Yeah of course, I was just letting you know." She says returning the smile. Figuring the charade has gone on long enough and to end poor Jax's suffering.

"I'm just kidding Jax," I say turning to the bot with a smile. He glares at me slightly as he filed his optics.

"Alright, let's show you two the rest of the base." Will says walking towards the hangar door. We walk down another hallway to a set of double doors. The smell of chlorine fills my senses.

"You guys have a pool here?" I ask as Will opens the door.

"Yes, for training purposes only, but there are times we swim for fun." Will explains.

"Even the bots join us." Epps adds, as we stop next to the pool to see a few people swimming with equipment as though they are training. This brings back memories...tournaments...freedom.

"Rosie is a great swimmer!" I smile at Mason, cause he saw me race people. "She's the fastest!" My eyes go wide at this statement.

"Really? How fast is she?" Will asks kneeling to Mason's eye level.

"She won races." I mentally face palm myself. Mason has no idea what he's getting himself into. More importantly...me.

"Okay, Mas, they don't want to know that." I say trying to keep him from saying anything else.

"But it's true Rosie." Mason says looking up at me.

"Why don't we have a race?" Sideswipe says and the others think about his question. Please say no, please say no, please sa-.

"Why not? I'll go get Mark, that is if you're okay with it Rose?" Will questions, meeting my gaze. I can't really say no now can I?

"Sure?" I shrug my shoulders as I respond. I love my brother, but there are times where he can be a pain.
