Well, I'm glad that he a least heard what I had to say.. Lisanna thought as she started walking home.

~Natsu's POV~

"Hey Luce! Wait up!" I called out. She turned around with her backpack slung on her shoulder.

"Hey Natsu. Forgot something?"

"Yeah my history notebook at your place. You know I kinda need that for the test tomorrow." I joked.

"Oh right I almost forgot about that."

"Hey, you okay? You seem a little down." I asked tilting my head in confusion.

"What? Na I'm fine, just tired is all. And what happened with Lisanna? I thought you would stay talking to her after what happened." I started fidgeting around getting nervous.

"Well~...I'm just not good when it comes to those kinds of situations." I chucked nervously while scratching the back of my head.

"Yeah. I know what you mean. Today was...a day full of surprises."

"What do you mean?"

"Well. Between you and me...Gray confessed to me just a while ago." She looked a bit embarrassed but I felt my blood boiling inside and my fists tightened at my sides.

"O-Oh really?" Was all I managed to say though gritted teeth.

"Yeah. And I felt really bad turning him down." Now I felt like laughing my head off. But then I thought.

"And why'd you turn him down?"

"I don't know. I always looked to him like an older brother kind of figure you know?"

"Yeah.." 

Could she think that way about me if I confessed to her? No, I mean, our relationship is different from hers and Gray's.

Now I was getting paranoid.

What if she doesn't see me that way? What if she turns me down like Gray? She probably sees us as friends and nothing more!

"Hello? Earth to Natsu?" Lucy took me out of my train of thought.

"S-Sorry I spaced out. What were you saying?"

"Where here." She signaled to her apartment. "Come on, now that your here why don't we study for the test?"

"Don't you have to work?" I asked as she opened the door.

"Nope, today's my day off."

"Oh" I answered as we walked up her stairs.

"Sorry about the mess but-" She cut herself off once she opened the main door. "What are you doing here?" She asked in a monotone voice.

"Your land lady didn't want me just standing out side so she let me in to wait here."

"What's going on?" I asked taking a step forward.

"And who's that?" The other person asked.

"Oh please I know that look. You have no right to be jealous." I took another step forward making me stand behind Lucy. I saw some guy with blond spiky hair standing there with his arms crossed.

"He's a friend from school." It hurt a bit hearing her say that out loud.

"Look Luce we really need to talk-" Only I call her Luce.

"I know what happened.." She interrupted him. Then she turned to look at me. "Hey Natsu, is it fine if I just give you your note book? I...we really need to talk alone."

"Yeah sure, it's fine." She entered her house and probably went to her room to get the notebook.

"And who are you?" I asked him while crossing my arms.

"Sting, Lucy's boyfriend." I had to do everything in my power to not rip this guys head off.

He's the one who made Lucy suffer. He's the one who made Lucy have to go to the hospital. He's going to pay!

But before I could even make a move Lucy came back in the room.

"Ex-boyfriend." She corrected.

"For now.." Sting said in a low voice.

"Here you go Natsu." She handed me the notebook."

"Thanks." I leaned a bit close to her and whispered. "Remember to not get to angry or do anything that could make your heart rate go up."

"Yeah, I know. Thanks for reminding me." She smiled at me and I happily returned it, and with that being the last thing I said to her, I left.

Well. Supposedly I left. Instead I stayed quietly at her door because my curiosity was killing me.

"So it was true about you being in the hospital?" Sting began.

"Yeah thanks to your little scene."

"Luce I was set up. I you know I would never do anything to hurt you and you know it." There was a small moment of silence.

"Yeah I know. A while ago, someone told me what really happened."

"You see?" I could hear him take a few steps forward, probably closer to Lucy. "It wasn't my fault."

"But she was in your room." Lucy countered.

"She said she was going to the bathroom."

"Yeah I could totally believe that when she came out with only you shirt on."

"I never thought she would do that! She's my dad's freaking secretary."

"And what was she even doing at your house?? "

"She came by surprise..."

"I don't even want to know what would have happened if I didn't go by your house!"

"I wouldn't let it go that far!"

"If you didn't let her in the first place-!" I could hear her taking a deep breath, inhaling and exhaling.

"Why don't we start over? Luce, I don't want us to end like this." Lucy didn't say anything. "Do you really want to throw away our year long relationship?" There was a moment of silence.

Wait, she couldn't really be considering getting back together, right??

"I guess not.."

No Luce don't do it! Please don't.. I pleaded in my mind.

"So why don't we put this behind us?"

"I guess...It was a misunderstanding. And everyone deserves a second chance...sure." I could hear in her voice that she was smiling. "You know I-" She was interrupted for a moment then I hear lips separating and my heart breaking.

"I missed you so much princess." He said..

"I missed you too." Lucy responded in a bit muffled voice witch could only mean he was hugging her.

I couldn't take it anymore, I got up and started running back home.

I was glad Wendy was at a friend's house and that mom was shopping. If not they would ask me if I was okay or what was wrong.

I ran up the stairs quickly all the way to my bedroom dropping my stuff to the floor.

I felt so many mixed emotions. Anger, sadness, hopelessness, disappointment.

"Damn it!" I yelled punching the concrete wall.

It was like, I lost something I never had. I never had a chance. I did so much for her and yet...she forgave him in an instant.

I was too emotionally tired to do anything so I just flopped on my bed.

I could feel my tears staining my pillow.

So not cool...

I couldn't believe Lucy could make me act like this or make me feel so small and weak with just saying she wanted to get back with him..

Some kind of man I am...

And I just stayed there like that until I fell into a dreamless sleep..
