After everything happened, Natsu and Lucy left the room and went to the living room.

"It's already dark out?" Lucy said as she walked by the window.

"Yeah, time sure does fly" Natsu added.

"We'd better get going to my father's main office to finish that work."

"About that." Lahar interrupted. "Since your father passed away, there has been a change in working times.

"How so?"

"Instead of opening at night, it's in the afternoon." He explained.

"So now it's closed??"

"Yes, I'm sorry for the inconvenience but you may go tomorrow in the afternoon."

"I guess that would be our only option. Natsu do you think your mother would be alright with you staying the night?" Lucy asked. Natsu was taken back a bit by the question but then answered.

"Yeah I'm pretty sure she would be fine with it."

"Alright then, Lahar we will be going tomorrow."

"Of course. Then I shall see you then. Goodnight Miss Lucy." Lahar bowed and walked out the door.

Once he was gone, Lucy let out a breath she was holding.

"I'm glad that's over with. Come on I'll show you to your room." Lucy indicated as she lead him up the stairs to the second floor.

"That's your room and that's mine" She signaled to the rooms that were side by side.

"Oh I remember this! I would always sneek into your room at night to keep talking or just to bug you." Natsu said with an evil smirk on his face.

"That I do remember. Now just go in and the maids'll bring you some cloths." She indicated. Natsu did as she said and walked in. The room was just like it was when they were kids.

Nothings really changed..

He kept looking around until he hears a knock at the door.

"Come in."

"Master Natsu, here are the clothes Lady Lucy requested for you." They still called him 'Master' like when he was a kid, he loved it when they would.

"Thanks!" The servant bowed and then left to let Natsu change into his pj's.

Once he finished, he made his way to Lucy's room and knocked on the door but it was already slightly opened.

"Hey Luce?" He slowly walked in not wanting to catch her changing or something.

But when he looked around, the lights were off and Lucy was already asleep in her bed.

It wouldn't be the first time he's seen her sleeping but he still thought that she looked beautiful. He walked over to her bed and sat on the edge.

"Night Luce." He said as he caressed her golden silky hair. He got up but before he could leave, he felt a hand grab his wrist.

"Where do you think your going." She said in a serious voice. Natsu turned stiff.

Crap crap crap.

"H-Hey Luce, I just came to say goodnight is all. So I'll be on my way." Then Lucy wrapped her other arm around Natsu's.

"So...your leaving again aren't you daddy?" It was good that it was dark because Natsu face was pure red.

"L-Luce, what are you talking about?" Natsu turned to look at her but noticed her head was low and every once in a while her grip on his arm would loosen and tighten. He bent down and could see that here eyes were barely open.

She must be half asleep half awake. Its just like when we were little except she would talk about her mom because she was worried about her. She must be thinking about her dad now..

"Don't go daddy..Don't leave me like mommy did..please." She pulled on Natsu's arm making him sit on the bed next to her. Sniffles could be heard and he could also feel the tears falling on his arm.

She's crying? Damn, she must really be upset. She's never cried in her sleep before.

"I'm not going to leave you." Natsu finally answered.

"No, you're lying. Mommy said that too but she still left us." She let go of his arm and wrapped her arms around his waist.

"I promise Lucy. I won't leave you, I'll be right there with you all the way through."

Lucy sniffled again and looked up to Natsu with sleepy eyes. "R-Really?" Natsu smiled to her.

"Yeah. I promise to never leave your side."

"It's nice to know that.." Natsu gently started to lay Lucy back on her bed; tucking her in and slowly started tiptoing away but Lucy's hand was quick to grab his wrist.

"Don't forget your promise, you said that you would stay by my side.." She said sleepyly. Natsu sighed in defeat and got under the covers next to her. Lucy then wrapped her arm around his waist.

"Goodnight daddy, I love you." And of course, Natsu couldn't help responding.

"I love you too Lucy."

It was early in the morning and Lucy was the first to wake up. She stretched her arms in the air and let them fall to her side but that's when she noticed...

"Natsu! What are you doing here?!" She kept hitting him with her pillow.

"Huh? What? Luce why are you up so early~ Go back to sleeeeep." Natsu responded by grabbing his pillow and putting it on top of his face.

Lucy huffed in annoyance but got out of bed and headed to the bathroom.

"If you don't get up now, no breakfast for you." Lucy called out.

"I'm up." Lucy smirked to herself at his childishness. Lazily Natsu sat up from the bed and stretched out his arms.

"Remember that you have to help me out at my dads company building today so we'd better hurry up. The maids probably already left you your uniform in your room."

"Yeah, alright~" Natsu was still slow on comprehending what was happening around him.

"Now get out! I have to get ready!" You could hear the shower being turned on and that was Natsu's cue to leave.

"Luce do I really have to wear this?" Natsu asked as he fumbled around with his outfit.

"Yup. You can't just walk in to a hi-class company wearing just any clothes." Lucy was also dressed for the occasion but Natsu still sighed in frustration.

"Fine but can I skip the tie?"

"You don't know how to put it on do you."

"...No..."

"Geez your hopeless." She said with a giggle. "Here let me help you." Lucy got up from her seat and took the red tie from his hands and started looping it around.

"Since when do you know how to tie ties?"

"Since I was a kid, I loved helping my dad before he would go to work, so I asked him to teach me." Looping it one last time, she fastens it to Natsu's neck size.

"There." She finished with a smile. Natsu felt his cheeks heat up and turned away quickly before she could notice.

"T-Thanks Luce. Now let's eat!" They both ate breakfast in a comfortable silence and then headed out to Lucy's car. It was a 15 minuted drive there and of course they sang all the way there.

Once they arrived, Natsu stared at the building before him.

"It has at least 45 floors." Lucy mentioned as they walked in.

"Miss Lucy! Welcome! I haven't see you in such a long time, you sure have grown up to be a beautiful young lady!" Greeted the main lobby Lady.

"Thanks Brandish! I've missed you too! This is Natsu, he's going to be helping me with the work today."

"Hi!" Natsu greeted with a toothy grin.

"Oh, that's nice to know. And by the way, I'm sorry for your loss Lucy." Brandish's cheery personality fell as she spoke.

"Yeah, it's ok. Well, I'm going up to my dads office, let's go Natsu, they're probably waiting for us." Lucy Said goodbye to Brandish and lead the way to the elevator and pressed the 37th floor button.

"Who was that girl? She doesn't look any older then us." Asked Natsu.

"She used to be the daughter of a maid we used to have. But her mother passed away and left her alone. So my dad said that when she was old enough, she could have a job here at the company. I'm glad he kept his promise with her." Lucy smiled to herself.

"That was really nice of him to do." Natsu added.

After some time, they heard a ding indicating that they arrived. Several workers recognized Lucy and would always greet when she passed by. Then they got to the last office at the end of the hall and Lucy turned the doorknob.

"Welcome to my dads old office."
