Warning: a lot of cursing

"Sting!" I cheered once I saw him sitting on his couch. He turned to look at me surprised but then gave me his signature smile.

"Luce!" He walked over to me. "I'm glad you came earlier." He planted a soft kiss on my lips.

"Yeah, I thought about starting to celebrate a bit early so...." I brought the cake out from behind my back. "Happy birth-day.." I stopped once I saw a girl walking out of stings room.

"Sting Honey when are you going to come back~" She said while only wearing one of Stings shirts.

"Who's that." I said in a monotone voice.

"Funny, I was about to ask Sting the same thing." The other girl said.

"I wasn't talking to you." I spat. All the while Sting was wide eyed and somewhat confused.

"L-Lucy honey I can explain!" Sting struggled as he tried to block my view of that white haired bitch.

"Like I'd like to hear your sorry ass excuse." I said with venom laced in each word.

"Sting my love would you just leave that girl and come back to your bedroom to have fun~?"

"Stop calling me that! Look Lucy, I was here just minding my own business when my dads secretary Yukino comes in and-"

"Just shut up."

"But Luce-"

"I SAID SHUT THE HELL UP" I Turn to glare at the bitch. "And YOU" I was so glad I still had that cake in my hand because I threw it to her face with plate and all.

"H-Hey Luce! Clam down!"

That is possibly the worst thing you could say to me right now.

"Calm down. Yeah, I'll calm down. ONCE YOUR FUCKING ASS ROTS IN HELL." I punched him square in the face and stormed out leaving him calling my name out behind me.

~Natsu's POV~
(A/N. This part of the book is the scene I thought of first and that eventually gave me the idea to make this book! Just wanted to say...)

"Well I've got to go pick up Wendy from the park, see ya." I said as I made my way off of school grounds.

The park just had to be far. You'd better thank me for this Wen!

As I'm walking, I see a certain blond walking down the sidewalk and immediately felt happier.

"Hey Luce!" I called while jogging to her. "Did you get lost or somethin'? Cuz weren't you supposed to be-"

But she didn't even pay attention to me. She just walked by without saying a word or even lifting her head. I turn around to walk by her side.

"Yo Luce, you okay?" No answer. "Are you mad at me?" Nothing. "Lucy!" I walked in front of her and placed my hands on her shoulders stopping her.

"Get your fucking filthy hands off me." I was totally and utterly shocked. I knew she could be mean but hearing her curse like that..

"H-Hey Luce. Come on, this isn't like you." I tried to reason. "Did...something happen with-"

"Don't you dare say his name." She spat.

"Look Luce-"

"This is why I was so mean and cruel before. So shit like this wouldn't happen to me." That's when she looked at me, hatred, anger and sadness filling her once happy and bright chocolate brown eyes.

Lucy's POV

"THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT!" I exclaimed with tears starting falling from my eyes. "You made me into a prissy little shit of a girl that thought that she could go on though life without a care in the world!" Natsu opened his mouth to say something but I cut him off.

"And to think that I actually started to fall for-!" I began.

Thump thump

No

Thump thump

D-Damn it..

Thump thump thump

This isn't how its supposed to end...

Natsu's POV

Everything went in slow motion...

Lucy fell to her knees and was about to fall face first but thankfully I caught her.

"L-Luce?" I lean my ear to her chest...

No heart beat.

"Lucy?!"

Nothing.

"LUCY!!" I started to panic. "Lucy! You can't die! How am I suppose to tell you that I love you if your dead!" Tears stared to collect at the corners of my eyes.

Quickly picking her up bridal style, adrenaline starts pumping thought out my body.

And I ran.

I ran because I was practically holding my life in my arms now, and if she died...

I shook my head. This wasn't the time to think about that, I have to get her some help.

~Time Skip: Normal POV~

Bursting thought the hospital doors sweating, tired and scared for the love of his life, Natsu yells

"SOMEONE. PLEASE HELP HER!" Immediately, doctors and nurses run to him and gently place Lucy's limp body on a gurney.

"Quick lets take her to the ER." Instructed the doctor rolling her to one of the rooms.

"Wait! Lucy!" Natsu cried out but Nurses restrained him.

"I'm sorry but you'll have to wait." Natsu calmed down a bit.

"When will I get to see her?" He asked seriously.

"Once we get some tests done." And with that being the final say in the matter, Natsu went to the waiting room.

How could everything turn out so horribly in matter of seconds? I-I'd better call mom and tell her that I didn't pick up-

"Wendy? Mom??" He said surprised to see his little sister and his mom here.

"Natsu-nii!" She rushed to Natsu giving him a tight hug.

"What are you doing here Wen?"

"Mommy was going to talk on the phone with Mr.Jude but his maids answered and said he was in the hospital. So on her way here, mom picked me up. And what about you?" Natsu stiffened a bit but answered.

"Lucy collapsed so I brought her."

No way in hell I'm telling Wendy that her heart beat stopped.

"Will she be okay???" She asked with concern written in her big brown eyes. Natsu gave her the best smile he could muster and patted her head.

"Yeah, she will." I hope..

After about half an hour, a nurse came out.

"How is she doing?!" Natsu asked with panic in his voice.

"Are you a direct family member?" Natsu was quiet not knowing what to say.

"I'm her aunt." Answered Grandeeny. The nurse looked a bit sceptical but continued.

"Alright, please take a seat."

Oh god, its never good when they say that. Natsu thought

"I'll have to give it to you straight. She needs a coronary Artery Bypass Surgery."

"A what-a-what-a-what?" Natsu asked confused as ever. Wendy looked at him as if saying 'i'll explain later' so he let the lady continue.

"But you see the problem is the our heart surgeon is out of town doing a research. And by the time he comes back...it would be to late."

"What do you mean too late!?" Natsu shouted while standing up not caring about making a scene.

"Natsu! Clam down!" Scolded his mother.

"How am I supposed to calm down when Lucy's dying!" Natsu could feel himself starting to panic.

"Miss Lucy is stable right now because of some medicine we're giving her."

"So why don't you just call the doctor and tell him to come for this emergency?" Asked Wendy surprisingly calm. The nurse sighed.

"It's not that simple. This research he's doing is very important. Doctor Gryder would need a very very good reason to come here."

"So someone dying isn't enough of a reason?!" Natsu boomed, angry for this guy being so selfish. "Listen you'd better!-"

"I'm sorry for the intrusion" Another nurse interrupted. "But Mr.Heartfilia would like to have a word with you all."

So the man who didn't help his own daughter in her time of need wants to talk to us? This ought to be interesting..
