~Normal POV: Wednsday~

"Morning guys." Natsu greeted Mirajane and Lisanna once he got to the school gates.

"What's this? 'I slept on the wrong side of the bed' part two?" Mira joked.

"Yeah I guess you could say that." Natsu said plainly.

"Well Lisanna told me what happened yesterday and I have to say, I'm very disappointed in you two." Mira scolded kindly if that's even possible.

"Yeah I know I know." Lisanna said.

"And wheres Erza? I thought for sure that she would be scolding us with you." Natsu asked.

"Her grandfather was sick and she went to visit him, so you got Lucy this time."

"Wait, I got what?" Natsu looked at Mira with confused eyes thinking that he had just heard her say that he had Lucy.

"I said you got Lucky this time. Geez you really got to listen better. Now lets go you two, the bells about to ring."

*RIIIIIIIIIIIING*

"I swear, sometimes I really think Mira has magic." Lisanna whispered.

"Yeah but she would have demon magic." Natsu joked.

"What did you two say?" Mira turned around with a sweet smile but they could see the anger behind it.

"N-Nothing!"

Time dragged on and Lucy didn't show up yet. It was lunch time and Natsu took the chance to talk to Levy.

"Do you know anything about Lucy?" He asked straightforwardly.

"She said that she wasn't coming the first few periods because she had to go to the doctor for a check up. She got here last period and I asked her to come with us for lunch but she said that she wasn't hungry so I don't know where she is now."

"I think I have a pretty good idea of where she is." Natsu said mostly to himself as he stood up.

"Wait!" Levy called out while grabbing his wrist--earning a scowl from Gajeel.--"If you know where she is, I suggest that you don't go see her now."

"Why? Is she that pissed off at me?"

"Well, to be honestly, I don't think Lu-chan cares all that much about what happened. It looked to me like she was worried about something else... Just let her be for now. She'll eventually come around." Levy advised. And with a final huff, Natsu sat back down on his seat and ate.

The days passed by quickly and Lucy didn't talk to Natsu.

Not once.

It was already Friday and everyone was eating calmly at the lunch table.

"Lu-chan hasn't come to eat with us again, not even Natsu's here." Mira commented.

"Yeah, and Juvia hasn't seen her coming to school with a lunch bag. Do you think she still not eating?"

But what they didn't know was that Natsu was running up the stairs with a bag full of food. But as he's going up the stairs, he bumps into a teacher.

"And where do you think you're going?" Mr.Clive asked with an eyebrow raised.

"I was just um, you see the thing is..." Natsu was scrambling for excuses.

"The blond girl on the roof top? Yeah I saw her heading up. Your going there aren't you?"

"I'll let you off this time. Now go." Natsu gave him a big grin and kept running up the last flights of stairs.

Once he got there, he burst through the doors and went straight to the same place they would meet up before. He stood in front of Lucy with determination on his face.

"We can argue later but eat now." Natsu said in a serious tone.

Lucy looked at him with shock and stared at all the food he brought. He laid the bag on the floor and started taking out everything.

They ate in silence for a while. Natsu was about to speak first but Lucy beat him to it.

"I'm sorry" She said as she looked to the ground.

"What? No, I'm supposed to be the one apologizing."

"Yeah your right." She answered with a small smile still not looking at him.

"Look, I didn't mean for things to turn out like this. And I'm really sorry Lucy. I know I'm a complete and utter idiot for doing that, I should have thought about what could happen and you can be mad at me all you want; you can even hit me if you want!" Lucy started giggling as he rambled on and turned to look at Natsu's desperate face.

"I'm not going to hit you--okay maybe later--but I thought it over these few days and I guess it was just an in the moment kind of anger ya know? It was wrong that you made up that stupid plan but it was also wrong for me to just yell at you like that. So it's like we're even now." She looked up at the sky that was decorated with grey clouds.

"So you can go back to calling me Luce. Okay?" She hugged her knees to her chest and looked at Natsu with a smile on her face. He could feel a slight blush on his face but didn't care.

"Yeah! Good to know Luce." He flashed her his signature smile witch she hasn't seen in a while. "So, now can you tell me the other reason why your worried?" Lucy's eyes widened just the slightest bit.

"What are you talking about Natsu? It was just about the fight we had." She tried waving off the question.

"Our argument made you not eat for three days? Come on Luce I know you better then that." Lucy let out a sigh of defeat.

"I really can't hide anything from you can't I?"

"Nope!"

"Fine, remember how I told you that you were going to accompany me Saturday night to get some work done from my father at his company?"

"Yeah?"

"Well, I got a call from my lawyer when I was at the hospital getting my check up. He told me that I should head there earlier so that I could read my Dad's will." She hugged her legs closer to herself.

"You gonna be okay?" Natsu asked while placing a hand on her shoulder.

"I don't know. Just thinking about it makes my stomach churn."

"Hey, remember, I'll be there with you. A dragon prince has to protect his princess right?" He smiled at her. Lucy gave him a smile and surprised him by throwing her arms around his neck and hugging him.

"Thanks, you really are the bestest friend a girl could have." It hurt Natsu to hear her say that but still returned the hug.

"Yeah..."

*RIIIIIIIIIING*

"That's our cue! To bad we don't have the next classes together." Lucy pouted. "Wellp! Don't want to be late!" She quickly got up and dusted her skirt. "Tomorrow I'll pick you up at your house at 2:00 so we can head out to my place, see you then!" She waved goodbye and left the rooftop.

"See you then....Luce." Natsu had that kind of goofy look on his face as he saw her leave.

You really are something else Luce..
