Shiro's POV
"Well I guess I should put this...on." I stared at the swim trunks. "Oh I'm sooooo uncomfortable doing this."
CRASH
?
What the heck?!
I poked my head out of the changing room to see these creatures attacking the girls.
What.
The.
Heck?!
"WhY AT A TIME LIKE THI-OOF." Ada was slammed into the wall of the house.
I stood there absolutely dumbfounded. What was I suppose to even do in a situation like this?! These things usually don't happen in real life!

"I'm okay!" Shouted Ada, whilst giving the thumbs up.
"Ugh why are they here again?! Whined Siya.
A-Again?!
I clutched onto the changing room curtains and hid behind them.
There really is nothing I can do!
"Alright get into position guys!" Priceless shouted.
The gloves that Priceless normally wore morphed into fREAKING MEGA GLOVES?!
"What the fuaaaaa......" I muttered
Ada was back somehow and had a much more....feral look to her...
"Ooooo I can't wait to bash their skulls in."
Siya was on her phone before closing it and being surrounded by many small red dots, which promptly moved towards some of the creatures heads.
"Engage."
A couple of loud gunshots could be heard while the creatures slumped to the ground, dead.
Everyone had something cool, except for Raven. She simply stood there in the back just silently watching.
For some reason though, all the monsters targeted her!
I tried shouting at her.
"Raven! Watch out!"
It was too late. Her arm was cut clean off. Blood spewed everywhere.

I just stood there in horror, waiting for her to get torn into shreds. Another person was going to get hurt while I just stood and watched. I felt tears swell up in my eyes.
"N...No..."
Just then-

Oh.
OH.
OH.
She just PIERCED that creature through the CHEST.
With her BLOOD.
HER BLOOD.
I stared in awe. That was....
That's was.........
"....so cool."
She didn't flinch at all! She just...took it!
I wanna do something like that!
Ding
Priceless then hauled out a huge gun out of nowhere and aimed it at one of the creatures.

A bright light emitted from the gun, burning the creature to nothing but dust.
Maybe I could learn how to make cool weapons!
Ding
Then I heard a growl.
"Ya'll mofos ain't got nothing on us!" It was Ada.

She didn't even look human, but she still looked strong.
Ding

"I CAN'T WAIT TO TEAR YOU GUYS TO PIECES!" She roared.
She then tore them to pieces. Blood splattered everywhere.
I don't know what she had become but she seemed so....powerful. Something about this power intrigued me and I just couldn't stop watching!
Ding
There was a throbbing pain in my head, telling me not to think these things. That this was insanity and I should be afraid.
But I wasn't.
I knew who the people were and they were kind. It inspired me.
How these people who were so kind could become so powerful in a matter of seconds.
I wanted to learn how to do that.
How do not be afraid and not be sad.
I could tell something about this was dark, evil even, but I want this. This is what I was looking for.
This is what I've wanted my entire life.
To be strong.

To be calm when I'm in dangerous situations.

To let my emotions out when I really need it.

To not cry when I'm in pain.

And....

"Raven!"
"Oh my gawwwwd Raven!"
"Someone grab some bandages!"
"Should I call the ambulance?"
"We don't need no Amber-lance!"
"One of you guys grab the other arm. The other gets the medical supplies."
"I got the arm, yo!"
"I'll get the medical supplies from inside, and I'll grab lots of napkins!"
"Raven just keep breathing. In and out."
".....n....n.....ngff....."
"Okay let's bring her inside."
"Cmon Newbie this is serious!"
To have someone to rely on.

Raven was leaning against the couch, staring out the window. She looked tired.
I cautiously walked up and sat next to her, staring at her arm. I had watched them earlier sew the arm back on, but I wasn't sure what good would come out of doing that.

"....."
"......."
"*cough*....So..." I muttered awkwardly.
She looked at me.
"You can control your blood, how can you do that?" I wanted to ask her questions about it so that maybe I could learn.
"It's something I learned awhile back by my......mentor...." She practically spat venom when she said this, but I wanted to learn more.
"D-Does it hurt..?"
"Like hell."
"But you pulled through like an absolute boss?!"
"It becomes like a nasty headache, a headache that you get....a lot."
"Does it take a lot of concentration."
"A lot is an understatement."
"Oh..."
Maybe I couldn't learn this.
N-No! I can't give up so easily! Not like before. I just need to flat out say it.
I took a deep breath.
"....Can you teach me how to do that whole blood...thing?" I finally let it out.
She seemed a little shocked at what I said and stayed silent.
I screwed up. She probably thought I was some freak who just stared at her boobs all the time. I should've just kept my mouth shut! Why do these things happen I'm a real idiot I should just-
"Are you sure you want to know. It's a very....dark power and is really dangerous." She responded back.
I vigorously nodded my head in confirmation.
"Well...." She seemed hesitant.
"*sigh* Don't say I didn't warn you....." YES!
"Alright give me your hand." HUH?
"Huh? Why?"
"We're doing this right now."
"W-What?! R-Right now?!"
"The changes will take about a week to fully kick in, but wait-!"
She stopped.
"You have to go home tomorrow..."
That's right. I wanted to leave by tomorrow, but would I ever get to see them again?! This was my only chance!
"What about your arm? Shouldn't we wait until it heals?!" I suggested.
"Don't worry it's already healed." She took off her bandages to reveal that her arm was completely healed AND attached to her body.
"w-w-what."
"It's another perk to that dark blood power, but it stings pretty bad. I guess we should just head to bed."
No! This was the only chance I had! I want to be stronger!
"No!" I suddenly shouted.
She looked confused.
"I....I want to be stronger! I want to be able to protect my friends for once! Please!" I pleaded. Streams of tears erupted from my eyes and down my cheek.
She looked me in the eyes before giving me a gentle smiling and pulled me into her embrace.
"....Okay. Now I understand."
She grabbed my hand and placed it on her lap.
Everything was peaceful- until I felt a sharp pain.
There was a small gash on my hand.
"Why did yo-" she pressed her finger against my lips.
She then gave a small cut on her hand and pressed it against my wound.
"W-What are you doing?!" She was silent and soon so was I.
My hand felt numb, but warm. Warnumb.
When I looked down I saw that my own cut was completely gone, as well as Raven's.
"W-What...?" I shook a little as I felt the sensation from my hand course through my body.
"You might have to stay here for a bit, in order for me to train you. I hope you don't mind." She looked guilty.
I shook my head and told her I didn't mind. We both retired for the day and went to bed. It was a lot later than I had originally thought. I laid on the bed, staring at the ceiling. I could feel the warmth rush to my head, which made me sleepy. Soon enough, I too became one with darkness itself.
