~Gilly~

I open my eyes to see pitch black. I groan and sit up, my neck feeling stiff. Beep beep beep. What the hell is that noise? I feel around for my phone and grab it. 11:37PM. I use my phone light to look around the room and then i realize I'm in a hospital. It's all coming back to me now. I look around to see my dad in a hospital bed with an IV in his arm. I sit next to him.

6 hours ago:

I ran as fast as I could go. My legs started to hurt and I was getting a cramp on my right side. I run all the way back to FTRS, grab my car and drove. I ran towards the front desk, panting. "C-Cobbler. Hal Cobbler." I say in between breaths." "Room 37." The lady replied. I didn't have to be told twice. Again I ran. I burst in to see tears streaming down Anna's face, holding my dad's hand. She looked up at me with sad but tired eyes. My vision went blurry and I sobbed."

I stay next to my dad for a few minutes and then open the door quietly. I walk over to the waiting room and sit. My mom is dead asleep and so is Anna. A doctor with dark hair pulled into a bun comes over. I nudge my mom and sister awake.

"Wake up."

The doctor smiles sadly. "I'm afraid that your dad is going to have to stay here a while. We have to keep him on close watch to make sure he is okay to go home soon."

I nod. All the sudden I see a boy with messy blonde hair and violet eyes. Jax. He was holding a box that had a cartoon donut on it and an ice coffee. My heart fluttered. This time I didn't even try to stop the feeling. He comes up to me with a cute smile plastered onto his face.

"Your favorite donuts and an iced coffee with light ice, extra milk, cold foam, and extra caramel drizzle, just the way you like it."

"You're so sweet." I say with a laugh.

"Ew can you guys stop flirting for a sec? I'm going to throw-up otherwise. Also is there a donut for me." Anna remarks.

My face turns bright red.

"Oh we weren't-"

"We were just-" Jax stammers.

Then his eyes narrow at her and study her face.

"Anyways I don't think you deserve them."

Anna scoffs.

Jax still doesn't trust Anna after what she did. I don't think he is ever going to forgive her. Some part of me doesn't want to either but we have to move on. Besides, she's my little sister.

Jax slowly takes a donut out of the box and gives it her with a grunt. I laugh and pat his shoulder. He sits down next to me and puts his head on my shoulder and looks up at me.

"How's your dad? Is he okay?"

"Yeah. He hasn't woken up though."

"It will be okay Gilly."

"I know."

He studies my face like he doesn't quite believe me.

"I'm always here for you no matter what."

I snort.

"You probably won't because you're too busy hanging out with your girlfriend."

He opens his mouth to protest when a doctor rushes to us.

"Miss. Cobbler! Your dad. He's up!"

Me and my family plus Jax run to the hospital room while I'm thinking why I just ruined that moment with me and Jax.

I just had to ruin it.
