If you suffer my supplication
after such inebriation
here beside this porcelain
time and time and time again

Will I ever defeat the doubt
turning all my insides out
Shall I yet be more than ill
after living for the thrill?

Times you watched me trip to fall
on the rock of all in all
Did you give up even once?
Will you ever just be done?

A universe hides eyes like mine
But you know me and my crime
Here you let the drink set in
to drown the poison and deeper sin

This is a king on holiday
giving his very crown away
taking steps to push as far
as he dares to see who you are
