Roger screeched to a stop in front of the address he had been given by the police and all three of them jumped out of the car.
Wooyoung ran forward, his eyes widening when he saw the large group of police officers gathered in front of a very normal looking house located on a cul-de-sac.
Several of the neighbors were gathered on their front porch trying to figure out what was happening as flashing lights from the cop cars filled the area.
"Officer Barnes!" Wooyoung shouted, getting the man's attention.
"Ah, good, you're here. Quickly." He motioned, drawing the three of them in. "Now he hasn't answered our knocking, so our men are about to break down the door. I need you three to stay out here just in case things escalate."
"Is she in there?" Roger asked, placing a hand on Wooyoung's shoulder.
"We don't know. None of the neighbors have seen her either, although one did think they heard a scream early this morning." The officer said, glancing at Wooyoung.
His heart dropped and he glanced at the house. San took his hand and squeezed it as they were ushered off to the side.
"Police open up! We will break this door down!" One of the men yelled as he pounded on the front door again.
Wooyoung felt every muscle in his body start to shake with fear. His heart was racing.
"Last chance! Open up!"
When there was still no answer, two of the officers lifted a large metal bar in between them. It had a handle for them to hold on to for a better grip. They swung it at the door three times with as much force as they could muster before the door burst open and the police officers filed inside.
Silence fell over the street.

Lila jerked her body back and forth, trying to knock the pillow off her face.
Her whimpers were getting weaker as her lungs begged for oxygen.
Everything hurt...
She could hear Nate's sobs as he pressed harder. "It's ok. You're not going to be in pain anymore. I'll protect you. I love you."
Lila's body started to spasm uncontrollably as she tried to draw in one last breath...
Her last thought was of Wooyoung as her body kept shaking but her lungs felt like they were collapsing...

It was taking too long... Why hadn't they found her yet.
Wooyoung started to shake his head. And uneasy feeling filled his stomach.
So he did an incredibly stupid thing.
Much to San and Roger's protests, he ran forward into the house.
Most of the officers were upstairs sweeping every room, while a few ran from room to room on the main floor.
Wooyoung's eyes were drawn to a door off to the side. He ran to it and yanked it open, revealing a set of stairs leading down into the basement.
Running off impulse now, he dashed down the stairs, flicking on any light switch he found.
The stairs opened up into a large cement basement stacked high with boxes and other random things that made it look like a storage room.
He was about to turn around and go back upstairs when he heard a faint sound. Like... Fabric rubbing against fabric.
Wooyoung swallowed the lump in his throat and crept forward, keeping his ears peeled for any other sound. Which was hard to do with the pounding of feet upstairs.
As he got closer to the shelves he heard whispering and movement. The sound caused his heart to stop as he tried to process what was going on.
Slowly, he walked through the maze of boxes.
The whispers turned into sobs as soon as footsteps could be heard at the top of the stairs.
Wooyoung rounded the corner and immediately cried out in alarm.
Nate was pressing a pillow to Lila's face. She was laying on top of a ratty blow up mattress and it looked like she was bound and half naked.
At the sound of Wooyoung's cry, Nate's head whipped around and the pain in his face was immediately replaced with rage.
Just like what happened inside Wooyoung.
He roared and ran forward to grab Nate's shirt. He heaved with all his strength and pulled the man away from his girlfriend.
Nate was thrown into one of the shelves, knocking it over and sending all of it's contents to the floor while Nate was sprawled on top.
Wooyoung started to run for Lila, but Nate grabbed him and pulled him back. "Get off me you sick bastard!" He shouted. Spinning around, Wooyoung balled his hand into a fist and slammed it into Nate's cheek.
The taller fell to the ground, but he locked his hand around Wooyoung's wrist and pulled him along.
Footsteps pounded on the basement stairs.
Wooyoung snarled as he grappled with Nate, trying to gain the advantage and get on top. He used his legs to pin Nate's arms to the floor and swung at is face.
Nate grunted and tried to buck Wooyoung off but he was too determined to stay on and keep swinging at Nate's face.
He managed to make contact a couple of more times, loving the pleasing feeling of flesh hitting flesh and the way Nate's face was slowly getting redder, before he heard voices.
"Wooyoung, stop!"
His head snapped up to see Officer Barnes pointing a gun in their direction. Quickly falling back to reality, he scurried off Nate's limp body and over to the mattress in the corner.
"Lila. Lila!" He called, pulling the pillow from her face.
A strangled cry left his lips when he saw the lower half of her face covered in duct tape and dark marks covering her chest and neck. Her shirt had been ripped open as well and pants pulled down, but that must have been as far as Nate had been able to get before he had... The pillow...
Wooyoung shook his head and started pulling at the tape around her mouth while looking around for anything he could use. There was a plate off the the side that had a knife on it, so Wooyoung lunged for it and carefully slipped it between her skin and the tape and started sawing back and forth.
The duct tape started to fray piece by piece but it was agonizingly slow.
"Oh by god!" San shouted.
Wooyoung didn't look up, but he felt San come to sit next to him and take Lila's hand as he started to sob. "Wh-What d-did he d-do?"
There were several voices talking in the distance, but Wooyoung only had the strength to focus on what he was doing. "C-Can you find a pulse?" He choked out, swallowing again.
San pressed his fingers against her neck and let out a small whine as he readjusted them several times.
Wooyoung bit his lip as he pulled the knife toward him one last time and the duct tape split. He worked to carefully peel it away from her mouth and pulled the rag out.
"O-Oh L-Lila." San covered his mouth and helped to peel the tape off, then started working on the ropes binding her to the pipes.
Wooyoung leaned forward and let his ear hover above her mouth. He held his own breath as he waited for one to come from hers.
The basement went completely silent.
"Please..." He whispered.
A soft flow of warm air blew into his ear and Wooyoung almost collapsed in relief as he turned his head and looked down at Lila.
San moved next to him and untied her legs before pulling up a blanket to cover her body.
"Lila?" Wooyoung whispered, placing a hand gently on the side of her face. He let the pad of his thumb drift slowly back and forth over her cheek. "Li, I'm here. Please wake up."
Someone else came to kneel next to them and Wooyoung felt a gentle hand on his shoulder. "Wooyoung? They have a medic waiting..." Roger said softly.
He nodded in response, but didn't take his eyes off Lila's face.
Just when he was about to move, Lila's head tilted so it was putting pressure on his hand. All three of them sucked in a breath.
Her eyelids fluttered and she inhaled sharply. Then she sat up and her hands flew to her throat and face as she look around.
San scrambled to grab the blanket and keep it wrapped her while Roger looked away once he realized her shirt had been ripped open.
Wooyoung cupped her face with both hands and turned it to face him. "Lila it's ok, you're safe now."
Her panicked eyes found him and he watched her pupils slowly get smaller. "Wooyoung?"
He gave her a watery smile and nodded, running his hand through her hair. "It's me." He whispers.
They look at each other for a long moment before she leans forward and presses her face into his neck and closed her eyes.
Wooyoung moved his arms to wrap around her and hold her close while glancing over at San.
The older was still covering his mouth, but he lifted a shaky hand and rubbed the back of Lila's head.
"I thought I'd never see you again." Lila whispered after a long moment. Her lips tickled Wooyoung's neck as she spoke. It felt amazing and it sent a chill down his spine.
"You can't get rid of me that easily." He whispered back, resting his head on top of hers. "I'm always going to be here."
He heard her sniff a little and he just held her tighter.
"The officers are getting antsy, I'm really sorry honey." Roger said, placing a hand gently on Lila's shoulder.
Wooyoung shifted so he could pick her up and carry her through the mess he and Nate had created on the floor.
When he looked down at where her head was still resting against his shoulder, Wooyoung's heart fluttered at the small smile on her face and then the flash of silver still around her neck.
She hadn't taken off her necklace. That to him was a sign that there was hope for them.
They made their way upstairs to where an ambulance was waiting in the street.
Wooyoung hesitated when they got to the living room. His eyes scanned for any sign of Nate.
"He's already been taken away." Officer Barnes said, approaching slowly.
"Good, because if he were still here you might have to lock me up." San grumbled as he adjusted the blanket around Lila.
The officer had to work to hide his smirk as he motioned for Wooyoung to follow him.
The back of the ambulance opened and a couple of paramedics stood nearby. "We are sorry to bother you sweetie, but we need to look you over for the police report." One said gently. "We can do it in private if you want to come with us."
Lila opened her eyes and looked up at Wooyoung.
He knew instantly that she didn't want to be alone. "San, do you want to update Yeosang while we-"
"Of course." He said, leaning over Wooyoung's shoulder to look at Lila.
Her eyes lit up when she say him and she lifted up a hand.
San took it and rubbed his thumb over her knuckles. "Hey Lila-lou." He flashed a dimpled smile as tears came to his eyes.
"Sannie." She whispered before closing her eyes again.
"I'll see you later sweetie." He said before stepping away.
Wooyoung stepped inside the ambulance and set Lila down on the gurney in the center. "I'm right here." He said as he stepped to the side.
She stared at him with wide eyes as the two paramedics stood in front of her and started examining her.
Wooyoung had bite his tongue when he saw the marks on her body. Now that they were in better light, he could see the bruising around her neck where Nate had choked her. He had left several marks on her neck, shoulders, and collarbone. Her wrists and rope burns and were incredibly bruised as well.
"Now honey, did he... did he rape you?" One paramedic asked as gently as possible. Wooyoung held his breath as Lila drew the blanket back a round her.
"No." She said hoarsely. It was obvious she had done a lot of screaming because her voice was scratchy and broken. "He j-j-just t-touched... And used f-f-fingers..."
Wooyoung got onto the gurney and pulled her to him and she pressed her face into his chest.
"Ok, it's ok. If he didn't do anything then we don't need anything else. If you are feeling ok, you check out enough that you can go home for the night."
"Can I really?" Lila looked at them, blinking back her tears.
They nodded and Lila scrambled into Wooyoung's lap, wrapping her arms around his neck and legs around his waist.
He couldn't help but smile, his heart beating faster at her signs of still wanting him. They still needed to talk about everything, but for now he would do whatever she needed to make her feel better.
With a little help, Wooyoung exited the ambulance and walked over to where Roger and San were waiting by the car. The three of them slipped into the back seat.
Lila reached out and took San's hand. He and Wooyoung shifted so they were sitting in the middle of the back seat and she could sit with both of them.
They were finally going home.
And even more important, they were together again.
