POGI: bilhan mo kong rose na may card,
padala mo sa 2:30 chem ko, faura 114.
sulat mo 'migo, you're so handsome, and
every time you're near, i get nervous. sana
you smile with this flower! have a good
day!' tapos lagyan mong heart sa dulo
Jiya keeps the smile on her face, kunyari nakikinig siya kay Isco, and types her reply.
kulang pa flowers mo, you
conceited ass? :)
It's Valentines in August sa Ateneo even though October is a week away. It's a fundraising event na naging big deal in campus, where you pay for flower deliveries to be sent to your crushes and/or friends during their classes, pwedeng anonymously or not. Last year, Addie gave Van, Isco, and Jiya flowers—that was the only flower Jiya received then. Wala naman din siyang pake about it, pero every time na papasok sila sa classroom, may delivery for Addie. Mayro'n din for Van na tinapon ni Isco.
Last year, puno 'yong bag ni Migo ng flowers. He even handed one to Jiya and said, "O, 'eto. For charity."
Jiya almost slapped him in the face, but she just shoved it back in his chest and walked away.
Pogi: nope, i just want one from you. kaya
lagyan mo rin ng from 'jiya valle baby'.
hindi pwedeng anonymous
Of course hindi kulang, sa dinami-rami ba naman ng admirers niya. She sighs and puts her phone down. Dadaan pa siya sa doghouse before her next class para mag-place ng order and magbayad ng flower para sa gago.
The student who receives her request makes a double take at the note. Then she grins, shakes her head, and tells her orgmates, "May isa ulit for Migo Salas."
Tangina. Jiya gives her a sickly-sweet smile and pays for it, slamming the bill on the table. She also ignores some looks thrown her way, rolling her eyes before she leaves.
Pagkaupo niya in class, Migo texts her again.
Pogi: what about u
She raises an eyebrow.
me what
Pogi: flowers, valle. flowers. lam mo yon?
ganto itsura 🌹 o kaya 🌻 pwede ring 💐
She rolls her eyes. Before she can say na oo, wala, as usual, baket ba, a voice says, "Delivery for Jiya Valle!"
Addie squeals and hits her. "This is Jiya!"
A chorus of annoying cheers come from her classmates. Confounded, she furrows her eyebrows and stands up, receiving the pretty pink rose and the card. She turns it over to read it, and her friends look over her shoulder.
Excited for our date this Friday! Hope this makes you smile, wag masungit. Have a good day Jiya :) - Anton
"Hoy, tangina ka!" Muntik na siyang sabunutan ni Van. "'Di ka nagsasabi! Anong date?! Ba't ang cute!"
"Samgyup lang, puta, ang sakit!" Jiya snaps, holding her hair. "Friend date lang sinasabi neto, ano ba."
"Friend date daw," Addie mocks, hugging her. "Hay, they grow old so fast."
"Shut up," Jiya tells them, pulling out her phone to text him.
HOY ANO TO
Anton replies agad.
Anton: Para nga ngumiti ka :) Nag-work?
Jiya smiles.
oo :) mabilis to mamatay pero
thanks!
Anton: HAHAHAH
Anton: u just made my day. eat a lot, dont
stress out too much! see you fri!
Jiya sits down and twirls the flower with her finger. Smugly, she takes a picture and sends it to Migo.
meron na.
Migo reads that immediately. He's typing.
Tapos nawala. Jiya raises an eyebrow.
Migo's typing again.
Pumasok na prof nila, appear and disappear yung iMessage bubbles niya. Jiya snickers.
Then, in the middle of the lecture, her phone buzzes. Jiya opens his message.
Pogi: ah, one of the many ni buenca. wala na? not surprised.
Her smile fades slowly, and she turns off her phone, blinking rapidly.
Jiya takes a deep breath.
Para he doesn't think na na-affect siya, she sends him a reply.
yup, wala na.
Jiya focuses back on the lecture and goes about the rest of her classes. She wishes she can take back 'yong binayad niya na flower for the asshole, sayang rin forty pesos, pero wala na. Lagpas 2:30 na. Besides, that's what he wanted, at wala siyang choice.
Some of her freshies from her InTACT class give her a flower. The gesture and messages were so sweet, nawala nang slight 'yong bad mood niya.
Nagpaalam siya nang early sa mga kaibigan niya. Isco and Van have plans for a spa, tapos si Addie bibisitahin si Cas. She allows herself to look at the several flowers with sweet notes in their bags and na hawak nila once before she looks away.
Jiya heads to the library to work, crossing Red Brick Road and Faura, but she suddenly stops in her tracks when Migo blocks her way sa may steps paakyat to Rizal Lib.
Like she predicted, punong-puno na naman 'yong bag niya ng flowers. May bouquet pa.
"Mag-aaral ka? Sama ako," he says, hands behind his back, face blank.
Jiya scoffs and brushes past him, but Migo pulls her ponytail back. Harsh.
"Ow, puta!" Jiya holds her head and with one hand and pushes him with the other, jaw tight, glaring at him. "Ano ba, masakit!"
"Sorry," he says, biting his lip. "Sama na ako sa 'yo."
She closes her eyes and takes a deep breath. "Goodbye, Migo."
"Valle, sandale." He pulls at her shirt this time, and Jiya brushes his hand off with a scowl. Migo clears his throat and looks away, and then he presents to her a single sunflower. "O."
Jiya looks at it, unimpressed. "Ano 'yan, charity na naman? No thanks."
She goes to turn around, but then he pulls her back again and immediately lets go when she faces him.
"Hindi, 'nyeta." Migo tosses it in her face, and Jiya sputters, blinking and catching it clumsily. "Apology."
She raises an eyebrow and looks down at the flower, turning the card over with her fingers.
I didn't mean it. I'm sorry. - Pogi
She looks at him blankly. Weirdo.
Migo's still not looking at her, reaching up with his hand to mess up his hair. "Accepted?"
"Tanga ka talaga," Jiya mutters, shoving it in her bag. "I'm going to study, pero 'wag kang sumama. Magulo ka."
"I won't be," he promises, brushing past her, nauna pa sa library.
Jiya rolls her eyes and follows him inside. Vacant 'yong spot niya, and 'yong katabi rin.
Migo stays true to his word—first two hours. Hindi rin namamalayan ni Jiya 'yong time when she's studying because she's too focused on her screen and her notes. Migo's just a quiet presence sa tabi niya, nag-aaral din, gumagawa ng homework. Puro numbers and equations, kadiri.
Noong mapagod na si Migo, he pulls at Jiya's shirt with his fingers and whispers, "Gutom na 'ko."
Jiya yanks his hand off and stares at her screen.
"Valle," he whispers annoyingly, pulling his chair closer to hers. "Pakainin mo 'ko."
"Shut up," Jiya says.
"Tetsuo," bulong niya in her ear, head dangerously close to hers.
Her whole body shivers, and Jiya pushes his face with her palm. Migo almost falls off his chair.
Snickering quietly, she closes her laptop and packs up her things. "Fine."
Habang naglalakad sila papuntang Tetsuo, Migo clears his throat and points at her bag. "Who else gave you flowers?"
"Freshies ko," she answers shortly, hugging her laptop her chest. "Cute nga e."
"Ako lang nagbigay ng sunflower," he says, smiling proudly. "Nice."
The hell? Jiya gives him a look of disgust and peeks at his bag. "E 'yang bouquet mo? Mahal 'yan."
"Bakit, selos ka?"
Jiya huffs, walking ahead of him. "I just want to know who's dumb enough to spend that much money on you."
He chuckles, swinging an arm around her neck, nearly squeezing her to death. "Hay, don't worry, Valle. Flower mo lang ang itatago ko."
"Yuck," she mutters, pushing him away and fixing her shirt. "Please don't."
Before they go up the footbridge, Migo grips her arm and pulls her aside sa may gate. "Wait lang."
He takes off his jacket. Jiya blinks at him. "What are you doing?"
"Naka-skirt ka," he points out, pulling her to him with a hand on her waist, making her stumble and gulp. He ties his jacket over her waist, leaning in towards her neck. "And ang daming nagso-smoke."
Jiya turns her head. As usual, sa ilalim ng footbridge, ang dami ngang Ateneans with sticks in their mouths and lighters in their hands. Halos puro lalaki. Bawal kasing mag-smoke inside campus, so they do it here.
Migo's right. If any of them look up habang paakyat si Jiya nang stairs, they'll see under her skirt.
She clears her throat, leaning her torso back, face turned away. "Thanks," she mutters.
Migo winks at her. He turns around with his hands on her waist and pushes her forward. "Okay na."
She blinks, almost tripping on her feet, and then some of the guys smoking see him. "Hey, bro! Long time no see!"
"Uy!" Migo greets back, hand on the small of Jiya's back. "Say hi rin sa girlfriend ko."
"I'm not his girlfriend," Jiya snaps, and she stalks off, keeping her hand on the railing as Migo walks up the steps behind her, laughing.
Sa footbridge, Jiya takes the jacket off and tosses it at him. "Ano ba, baka anong akala ng mga tao if you do that. Baka may magalit."
"Cute mo kasi," he sighs, hitting her shoulder with his. "And sinong magagalit?"
"Your thousands of admirers, sino pa ba?" she snaps, rolling her eyes. As if hindi niya alam.
"Sorry na," he says, laughing. "I won't introduce you as my girlfriend without your consent from now on."
"You'll be dead before I give my consent," she counters, and Migo laughs all the way to Tetsuo.
Siya unang umupo sa may corner table. He takes out his wallet and hands her some bills. "Order for me what you usually order."
Jiya gives him a sarcastic smile and slaps her hand on the bills, turning around. "Yes po, sir."
Pagka-order niya ng pagkain nila with two cans of Sprite, she heads back to their table to find Migo on the phone, and he only glances up once, accepts the change and says, "Busy ako, Tasha."
Jiya slumps down on her seat and rolls her eyes. Tasha na ex ni Migo na habol pa rin nang habol sa kanya.
Migo looks at her, and his lips pull up in a grin. Sa phone, sabi niya, "I'm eating dinner na. Yes, with a girl. Medyo. I think."
Jiya makes a move to punch him. Migo's cackling.
"Oo, maganda," he says to the phone, staring at her, still smiling. "Actually, here na food namin. See you tomorrow. Bye."
Wala pa food nila. Jiya stares at him flatly and says, "Are you trying to make her jealous?"
"No," he says, leaning forward on his arms, tilting his head to the side. "I was telling her the truth. Ano plans mo this Friday after school?"
Jiya blinks. Parang may whiplash siyang kakakausap nito. "Um, samgyup with Anton—"
"Cancel," he demands.
"Nope." Jiya shakes her head. "I can't just ditch him."
"Sure you can." Migo leans back and shrugs. "Wala naman 'yon sa terms mo."
He's right. Still, Jiya counters, "I'm adding it. You can't interfere if may previous commitments na ako."
"Commitments," he scoffs, pushing his wallet around the table.
"Bakit ba?" She raises an eyebrow. "Ipapagbili mo ba 'ko ulit ng milk tea at that time?"
"No. I'm shopping for my little sister's birthday, I need help."
Servant duties. Jiya sighs. "Ask Tasha."
Migo shakes his head, furrowing his eyebrows. "Ayaw ni Meg sa kanya."
Meg is his youngest sister. Jiya has only met her once, back in high school pa, and she was the sweetest kid ever. Ayaw niya usually sa mga bata, pero Megan was very sweet and adorable and cute. Hindi niya maisip that the kid wouldn't like anyone.
She clears her throat and mutters, "I'll be free after samgyup."
"Sunduin kita."
"Fine," she bites, rolling her eyes. "Anything else po?"
"Birthday celeb ni Inggo," he says. "Punta ka sa Saturday?"
She shrugs. "Maybe."
"Pumunta ka."
Jiya glares at him. "Wala naman pala akong choice. Anything else?"
The counter calls out her name. Migo grins at her and tips his chin. "Go."
Jiya scowls at him and takes their orders. Sana mabulunan 'yon habang kumakain.

Masayang kasama si Anton—as always. Jiya's cheeks hurt from smiling and laughing so much.
He gives her a piece of meat on her bowl. Kanina pa siya nagluluto. "Alam mo, mag-samgyup kaya tayo every week. I see you eat a lot, nakakapag-relax ka. Win-win."
Jiya chews loudly and shakes her head. "Mauubos pera ko, bro."
He rolls his eyes, but he says, "Siyempre ako na bahala. But feeling ko you're gonna be busier than ever. You said you were looking for internships again."
"Mm." Jiya wipes her mouth with a napkin. "Pero no apps yet. I'm just looking kasi gusto ko lang ng maraming work experience so better chances when I graduate. Baka sa summer."
Anton clicks his tongue, clinking his glass with hers. "Idol talaga kita, Jiya. But don't overwork yourself, you gotta have time for, you know, friends and your current non-existent love life."
She scoffs, leaning back. Putek, busog na busog na siya. "Career muna. Mamaya na 'yon. Besides, baka mawalan lang din ako ng focus. How 'bout you? How's it going with—ano ba name n'on—Rey? Rey ba?"
Anton laughs out loud. "Fling lang 'yon. Nothing serious."
"Tapos bibigyan mo 'ko ng advice for a jowa?" Jiya clicks her tongue. "Single naman pala tayo pareho."
Her phone on the table lights up. Jiya takes it and reads the message.
Pogi: hoy ano tapos ka na ba? tagal natin
ah.
Impatient ass. Jiya rolls her eyes and types her reply.
patapos na po, sir, sorry po
talaga :)
Pogi: five minutes.
"Sungit," she mutters, putting her phone down.
Anton raises his eyebrow. "Who?"
"'Yang kaibigan mong gago," Jiya says. "He's picking me up."
Her friend blinks. "Weh? I thought you two can't stand being in the same room for long. Ano gagawin n'yo? I'll go with you."
Jiya snickers, imagining the look on his face 'pag dinala niya si Anton. Still, she says, "Nah, it's fine. And we can't nga, pero...hay, it's just complicated. Hatid mo na lang ako to his car."
Migo pulls down the window sa passenger side nang iparada ang sasakyan niya sa harap ng restaurant. He's wearing shades and a smug smirk. "Uy, Buenca."
Anton greets him back with a salute. "Bro." To Jiya, before she gets in, he pulls her into a tight hug and says, "Let's do this again next time. Ingat ka, ah?"
Jiya nods and steps back, smiling at him. "Ikaw rin, text me when you're home. Ingat! Bye!"
Migo waits for her to put on her seatbelt before he drives it back sa main road. Oddly, he's quiet.
Jiya props her elbow sa window and looks at him with her eyebrows raised. "Ba't ang sungit mo?"
"Pake mo," is his cold answer, staring ahead.
She scoffs and leans against the window. "How old is Meg?"
"Turning thirteen," sagot niya. "I don't actually know if she wants toys, clothes, or, ewan ko, makeup. Baka books?" Migo scrunches his nose. "I don't know where to start, pero I want to buy her something that will make it her best birthday until next year."
It makes her smile. Just a tiny bit. Mabait na kuya si Migo. "We'll find something."
Inuna nila ang Toy Kingdom, and Migo keeps scrunching his face at every toy, tapos he picks up two hula hoops and hands one to Jiya. "Loser buys dinner," Migo says.
Itong competitive naman na si Jiya, agrees. "Deal."
Natalo naman siya. Tapos pinagsabihan pa sila ng mga employees na hindi sila pwede maglaro sa loob.
Migo pushes her and says, "Siya po nagsimula, Ate."
"Hindi kaya!"
Slowly, Migo's bad mood from earlier slips away. After nila sa Toy Kingdom, dumaan pa sila mga kids' section sa mga clothing stores. He takes a dress out from a hanger and positions it in front of her. "Bagay sa 'yo 'to, Valle."
"Shut up."
Wala ring gusto si Migo sa mga damit. Ang picky niyang tao, jusko. Nakadalawang oras na silang nag-iikot!
He drags her to some of the beauty stores that sell makeup. While Migo's off looking at some of the eyeshadow palettes, Jiya heads over sa mga lipsticks, just browsing through the colors.
Buong high school niya, never siyang nag-makeup. Hindi rin naman siya marunong. Pagdating niya ng college, she bought some products, pero 'yong lip and cheek tint lang ginagamit niya kasi naiinis na siya sa pale lips and skin niya. She's been using that one color ever since.
Behind her, Migo suddenly snatches one of the colors in the row and inspects it, tearing off the plastic. "I like this one."
Jiya's eyebrows raise. "For Meg? Hindi ba too mature—"
Napa-shut up na lang siya when Migo steps in her space, pulls off the cap, cradles her cheek with one hand, and applies the lipstick on her.
Jiya's eyes are wide. She's frozen. "Uh—"
"'Wag kang magsalita," he warns, eyes on her mouth, concentrated.
Putek. Ba't ang lapit niya masyado! Ba't siya nilalagyan ng lipstick!
Migo steps back and looks at her, tilting his head to the side.
Tangina. Naco-conscious na siya dito, ano ba.
He nods slowly, satisfied. "It's nice. Get this one."
Jiya glances at the tag sa row and almost gasps. "Mahal!"
"Yes, mahal?"
Her face is burning. "It's expensive, no thanks."
"Too late, nabuksan ko na rin," Migo holds it in his hand and leans close to her, grinning. "O, why are you blushing?"
Jiya pushes him with a hand on his chest and walks away.
He's laughing. "Isama na rin natin yung napili ko for Meg. Think of this as a thank you. Ikaw naman magbabayad for dinner."
Jiya catches a look at herself sa mirror while he's paying. Migo's right. It is nice.
*
Pagdating ni Jiya sa bar sa BGC, she's immediately jumped on by Addie. "Jiya babes! OMG, you're so hot. Shots?"
Natawa si Jiya, and she swings her arm over Addie's neck and hugs her. "G. Where's Van and Isco?"
Her friend drags her to their booth, rolling her eyes. "Who knows, baka nasa bathroom na. Here." Addie passes her a glass. "Some of the guys are dancing na."
Si Cas nga lang ang nakaupo sa couch. He raises his hand in a wave and smiles at her. "Hi, Jiya."
She downs her shot and smiles at him, raising her glass in his direction. "'Sup."
"Uy!" Inggo's voice calls, and Jiya turns around. He's grinning widely. "Ji!"
"Happy birthday," sabi niya, giving him the bro-handshake-hug thing. "Lasing ka na?"
Inggo scoffs. "As if. Aga pa. Pero thanks for coming, medyo na-bo-bore na si Migo."
Nonchalant, Jiya sits down on the couch and gets herself another shot. "Bahala siya. Thanks sa painom, boss!"
"Order lang kayo!" he shouts, and then he disappears again in the crowd, bopping his head to the music.
"Sabi mo 'yan!" Cas shouts back, laughing. Nakaupo na pala sa kanya si Addie.
Just as Jiya's swallowing the alcohol, may tumabi sa kanyang lalaki na she doesn't recognize. "Hi," he says, smiling, holding out his hand. "Alex. High school friend ko si Inggo."
"Jiya," she offers, but she doesn't shake his hand. "Umalis ka if you're looking for a lay."
Natawa si Alex. "Are you always this straightforward?"
"Oo." She looks at him and raises an eyebrow. "May problema ka do'n?"
"Wala naman," he answers, still grinning. "It's hot. You're hot."
"That's still not getting you a lay," Jiya tells him, pouring herself another shot. She downs that and stands up. "Pero if you wanna dance, I'm g. Addie." She gestures to her friend na pupunta siyang dance floor, but her friend is busy nakikipag-momol with Cas. Jiya rolls her eyes and turns around.
Sinundan siya ni Alex, a hand on her waist as they move along the crowd. Hindi pa man siya hinaharapan ni Jiya gumitna na si Migo at hinampas ang kamay na nasa waist niya. "Sorry, bro. Mamaya ka na. Or never."
Ang tangkad nga pala ni Migo. Sometimes, Jiya forgets na he's broad and a whole head taller than her.
Sa sinabi niya, Jiya grabs his arm and turns him around to face her. "Ano ba, hoy."
"Ano ba ka rin," Migo mocks, raising his eyebrow. "Sabi ko sa 'yo I'll dance with you. Sinong dinadala-dala mo dito."
He texted her while she was getting ready.
Pogi: wear the lipstick i got you. isasayaw
kita. see ya sungit
She thought he was joking, but he has the most serious expression on his face right now.
Jiya blinks and steps back, pulse racing. "Ayoko nga!" Ipapahiya lang siya nito!
Migo sputters out a laugh, jaw dropping incredulously. "Do'n sa 'di mo kilala, g na g ka. Pero sa 'kin hindi?"
"Itutulak mo lang ako, no thanks." Jiya turns around to leave, pero hinawakan siya ni Migo on her hips, pulling her back.
She gasps in surprise, feeling his fingers splay out sa hips niya, and Migo leans down to whisper, "Dance with me, Valle."
Jiya closes her eyes. Her whole body shivers with his breath on her skin.
Fine, then. 'Yan ang gusto niya.
She pushes her body back to Migo's, surprising him that his fingers on her loosen a bit, but she tugs his arms back to her waist and rolls her hips, and she hears his sudden intake of breath from the pressing of their bodies, the slow rocking and moving to the beat.
"Tangina, lasing ka na ba?" Migo asks in her ear, breathless.
"Hindi pa, baket?" she answers innocently, turning around.
Ngayon lang may upper hand si Jiya. For the past month, laging si Migo ang may final word, always leaving her sputtering nonsense or face flaming hot or too flustered. Ngayon, she takes advantage of his surprise, na parang 'di niya inakala na gagawin niya talaga 'to, and winds her hands around his neck and dances against him, keeping her eyes on his.
"O, why are you blushing?" she asks him, raising an eyebrow even as her own pulse races sa mga ginagawa niya kay Migo, brushing her knee over his jeans, hands traveling down to his chest and stomach. This is the first time they've been this close, intimately, since their kiss.
Kinuha ni Migo wrists niya, fingers gripping her skin, jaw hardening. "I need a drink."
Jiya laughs. He pushes her hands away and leaves the dance floor.
I made him flustered.
Anton finds her not a second later sa crowd, face lighting up. "Jiya, hi! You look great!"
Naka-white tube top siya with short shorts and a brown polo with rolled-up sleeves na nakapatong. Nakalugay lang siya, and for once, she put on makeup—'yong lipstick nga na bigay ni Migo.
"Thank you, you too!" She hugs him quick. "Bilis, I need more shots!" Jiya takes his hand and brings him to the bar to order under Inggo's name.
When they get their pitchers, Jiya and Anton bring them to their table. Migo's seated on the couch, glass in his hand, legs spread. Hindi siya nakatingin sa kanya. It makes Jiya smirk.
"Hoy!" Van screeches, pulling her in for a kiss on the cheek. "Dance tayo, babe!"
Isco gives her a glass. Ang gulo-gulo na ng buhok nito, nyeta. May lipstick stain pa sa damit. "Ganda natin, ah."
Jiya raises her glass to him before she's dragged off to the floor by Van, tapos sinundan pa sila ni Addie.
Jiya enjoys the night with her girls, pati 'yong mga kaibigan nilang iba, pero as the hours pass, Migo doesn't look at her anymore. Medyo nag-regret siya—did she push him too hard?
And then nainis siya. Who does he think is, ba? Siya 'yong may gustong makipagsayaw with her, tapos siya ngayon 'yong ganyan? Cold shoulder na naman? Ang gulo niya, putangina.
Her anger makes her drink a lot more than she's used to. A lot, lot more. She keeps accepting glasses handed to her, and if empty na, ipapa-refill niya pa.
"Lasing na 'to!" Isco shouts in glee, laughing, and then he's gone with the rest of their friends.
"Nakarami na nga," Anton says, grinning. He crouches down in front of her and holds her up by the shoulders, gently shaking her. "Jiya, hey. You should drink water."
"Low-tol nga 'yan, ba't ang dami niyang ininom," Migo's voice says, irritated. "Hoy, Valle. Tubig, then I'll take you home."
"Ako na," Anton says, standing up.
"Si Valle 'to," Migo reasons, voice lowering. "Ako na."
Jiya only registers Migo's voice and sits up. Squinting, she points at him and slurs, "Hoy, Migo Salas!"
Nagulat silang dalawa sa boses niya.
Jiya's fingers find his jacket and she tugs it harshly, pulling him down to the couch. She leans in close and angrily mutters, "Migo, tangina mo."
"Ano 'yon?" Migo says loudly, wrapping an arm around her. "'Migo, iuwi mo na 'ko'? Okay, if that's what the princess wants. Bye, Buenca."
Hindi na siya nakagalaw when he carries her around the waist, head lolling on his shoulder. Kinuha rin ni Migo purse niya, and then binaba siya carefully in the passenger seat of his car, and he straps on her seatbelt.
Jiya looks at him with a frown while he drives. "Bakit ba ang confusing mo?"
"I'm not confusing," he argues, not looking at her. "Ba't ang dami mo kasing ininom, 'di mo naman kaya."
"Nakakainis ka kasi," Jiya snaps, sitting up. Parang nagiging sober na siya sa usapang 'to. She angrily swipes away the hair on her face. "Ang gulo mo, nakakaputa. Akala mo ba ang dami kong oras para makipag-hot and cold with you?"
"Magulo ka rin," Migo argues, an angry edge to his tone. "'Di ko alam minsan kung gusto mo 'kong suntukin o halikan."
"Both," Jiya says.
"E ba't 'di mo gawin, duwag," Migo snaps. "Tumahimik ka na diyan. 'Di mo naman 'to maalala bukas."
He's right. Jiya doesn't know how she gets home, pero paggising niya, memories of last night are all just a blur.
