On the evening of Izuku and Izuna's birthday when all guests arrived Gran Torino asked where his grandson was but didn't get an answer. He decided to look for him when he walked into Izuku's room there was no hero posters, figures

GT: Izuku buddy

Izuku looked away from the computer and his eyes were bloodshot due to all the crying made his grandpa worry about him.

Izuku: Hey grandpa how are you?

GT: I'm ok I came to wish you a happy birthday

He's said then pulled a gift from behind his back this made Izuku smile and slightly forget his troubles as he opened it there inside the box was a dog plush

GT: I'm sorry my boy that was Izuna's gift I got you a hero figure

Izuku: Oh I don't like heroes anymore

GT: what? Why?

Izuku: I don't want to look at an impossible dream

Gran Torino had seen his grandsons once bright blue eyes become a bit dull.

Izuku: Grandpa you can go back to the party I'll just stay here

GT: Okay I'll bring you some food

The elderly man had left the room feeling sad that he couldn't help his grandson but then came up with the idea to talk to Toshinori after the party.

With Izuku

Izuku began to search up what happens when a quirkless child when all other members have quirks. Everything he read was depressing and made him feel worse until he saw an article. The article in question had been about quirkless communities began flourish they were known as Sanctuary cities. He knew he would have to investigate sanctuary cities when he got older.

Izuku was going to search for most feared nightmares of quirkless but instead he got this video.

Izuku was curious so he clicked the video and it introduced him into the world of boxing he watched and saw the career of Julio Cesar Chavez in a 16 minute video. Izuku was captivated by the ability of this fighter and decided what he wanted to do. He then began looking up boxing gyms the one closest to him was the Kamogawa gym then he looked up exercises on how to start building muscle.

After looking up info he decided to start working out so he'd have a head start with training that way he wouldn't have to worry about being a total beginner.

At the party

When Gran Torino returned his wife questioned him by asking if Izuku liked his gift he replied with a simple nod but then whisper in her ear "I think bonehead will neglect Izuku like his father did to him." Chiyo shook her head in disappointment. The two decided to support him when the time comes later.

After the party began to die down and guests had left Gran Torino had waited to speak to Toshinori in regards to OFA but his stupid disciple decided to take initiative and speak about it.

Toshinori: Gran Torino I need your help

GT: With what?

Toshi: When Izuna gets bigger I want her to inherit OFA

GT was shocked had this fool already forgotten his son but hopefully it could just be a prank

GT: what about Izuku?

Toshi: Who?

GT was flabbergasted he controlled his rage and said "Forget it" Toshinori looked confused but didn't question his former teacher.

Toshi: When the time comes will you teach her?

GT: We'll see if she can impress me

Recovery Girl had heard the conversation and was upset that Nana Shimura had chosen a hypocrite. Before leaving the elderly couple had gone to say goodbye to Izuku and deliver some food upon reaching his room they opened the door and saw him glued to his computer screen.

GT: Kiddo are you okay?

Izuku turned around and both grandparents had seen his eyes were filled with a fire and determination.

Izuku: Grandma, Grandpa this is what I want to do when I get big.

He excitedly pointed to the computer monitor as they approached they saw he was watching highlights of Ippo Makunoichi the greatest feather weight in history it was a compilation video of his knockouts from the beginning of his career to the end.

The elderly couple noticed that he had multiple tabs open with names of the greatest fighters from the pre-quirk era like Muhammad Ali, Mike Tyson, George Foreman, Canelo Alvarez, Floyd Mayweather, Manny Pacquiao, Gennady Golovkin.

RG: Honey are you sure this is a dangerous sport

Izuku: I'm sure. I looked it up the quirkless sanctuaries are the only places where sports are making a comeback and its a chance for quickless to live normal lives.

GT: Well kiddo me an grandma live in a quirkless area it's a lot better than quirked areas so when you get to middle school come live with us but if you can't handle thing here before then you can come over sooner.

Izuku: Really? is that okay you won't be upset since I'm quirkless

RG: We're sure dearie now it's time for us to leave if anything happens please call me or grandpa.

Izuku nodded and hugged both his grandparents before they left he also noticed the food and ate.

Time skip

As another year passed Izuku had been neglected by his parents he was about to enter grade school but when asking for new shoes and clothes his parents had neglected to buy him anything. Izuku had done chores for his neighbors in order to earn money for food, clothes and shoes.

Lucky for him many of his elderly neighbors had kept the clothes their children wore years ago and donated them to him. The only thing Izuku had to buy himself were shoes but due to wearing old worn out sneakers he had developed nasty blisters and callouses. Then he remembered the offer his grandparents gave him when he called them up it was during a three day weekend where the Yagis had gone out of town

Call

Ring*ring* ring*

Sorahiko: Hello?

Izuku: Hey grandpa its Izuku I need your help

Sorahiko: What's wrong my boy?!

Izuku: Mom and dad left for a three day weekend with Izuna and left me all alone. They haven't signed me up for school yet. Can you help me

Sorahiko: Don't worry my boy your grandma and I are on the way. Pack up all your clothes and wait outside

Call ended

After the call ended Izuku grabbed his backpack and filled it with what little clothes he had he also brought along his stuffed dog plush and headed down stairs to wait. Ten minutes later and outside with both grandparents who were worried about his health

Upon getting home Chiyo had examined Izuku only to discover that her grandson was suffering from slight malnourishment and the blisters and callouses on his feet.

GT: before we can start you on your journey through the Champion road we gotta get you healthy.
