augustus rarely ever talks or smiles, unless he finds a reason too. his mind is a very dark place and he mostly keeps everything to himself. augustus rarely grows comfortable with anyone, but once he does, he's a bit of a dork. he lies constantly, so you can hardly tell when he's telling the truth. augustus can be a bitter and moody, though he doesn't mean to be. he doesn't give second chances either.

when augustus was born, he was a normal baby. he smiled and giggled more than any other infant. he slowly started growing wings as he aged, though the were just slits on his back at first. augustus was the sweetest, happiest child you'd ever meet. at the age of six, his wings were about a foot long and a pearly white color. his parents, who had adored him all his life, were terrified about what was happening to their child. augustus' father wanted to just keep the wings a secret and keep augustus at home until they figured out how to get rid of them. his mother, however, wanted to completely send augustus away and adopt a new, normal child. for years, the two bickered back and forth until his father had had enough and left. augustus' mother planned on sending augustus to quilitys when he turned fourteen. as soon as augustus found out, it was too late. when augustus arrived at quility, he tried to cut off his wings, just wanting his family to love him again. he didn't succeed in removing his wings as the second in command found him before he could. his wings still grow and but, now they're pitch black instead of pearly white and he's been distant ever since it happened.
