Ash's POV

I arrived at Kanto peacefully, particularly in my hometown, Pallet Town. It's really a long ride but we manage to arrive here as fast as we could, and it's understandable that I should switch Charizard during the flight, so I went with Pidgeot and then Staraptor next. It's been a long time since I step foot here, and I even forgot to go home first after finishing up my journey at Alola.

I landed at the outskirts of Pallet Town, I took a gaze at the scenery of my small hometown, which I can see my house further. I returned back Staraptor and thanked it.

"Glad to be back here, right Pikachu?" I said to my partner, who was on my shoulder all the time, he cried out happily, as if he was also ecstatic to meet mother or Professor Oak again.

"We should stop by at the house and pay a visit to mother and Professor Oak Pikachu, what do you say?" I asked at the mouse pokemon, and I recieved a nod in approval.

We hurriedly went towards our house and it was expected to see Mr. Mime happily watering the plants, I ran and then greeted it.

"Hey Mr. Mime! It's been so long!" I happily cried out as I ran towards the psychic pokemon, it looked towards me and was happy to see me. He also ran towards me and we both embraced each other.

"Say, do you know where mother is?" I asked the pokemon, it nodded and then pointed it's finger towards the house.

"So I take that she's in the house, come on Mr. Mime, follow me!" I happily said as I went inside. There I saw my mom cooking lunch, so I decided to catch her attention.

"Mom I'm home!" I yelled through the house, catching my mom's attention, she turned towards me and widened her eyes in surprise, before tackling me into a hug.

"Mom, I'm happy to see you too." I managed to say between the hugs.

"You didn't even gave me a call Mr. Ketchum." She scolded playfully, I just laughed at her.

"I wanted this to be a surprise though, and I succeeded." I grinned, she ruffled my hair, resulting for me to pout playfully.

"Come on Ash, lunch is almost ready, a coincidence since Professor Oak will also stop by here, also Pikachu, I manage to have a bottle of ketchup at the kitchen, you better get it." She said and I was surprised that Professor Oak will stop by here, Pikachu's ears perked up at the word ketchup and hurriedly went to the kitchen.

Just as I was about to sit on a chair, Professor Oak went in, and our eyes met.

"My, if it is Ash. Welcome home my boy." Professor Oak said.

"Good to be home professor." I replied back.

"Say young man, what are you doing here if I may ask?" Professor asked politely.

"You see, I have an errand for Professor Sycamore back at Kalos Region." I answered, to which he was interested.

"Ahh, Augustine, what will he have favored you young man, knowing him, I think it's quite a hard one." He said as he put a hand on his chin.

"This topic is better discussed when the food is ready professor, let's wait for my mother." I said as a grumble was heard from my stomach, I scratched my head nervously.

"Very well young man, and you must also share with us your journey through Alola, and how you became a champion." He said with a grin.

We waited for minutes until the food is ready, Pikachu came back with a bottle of ketchup and it's face also covered with ketchup.

"Food is ready, let's eat!" Mom announced.

Then we happily ate her food, it'll always be delicious for me, Professor Oak also acknowledged her food, as he is happily eating it.

"Now young man, care to share?" He asked and smiled.

"Of course professor." I said.

"You see, I was the one being favored on a somewhat hard task, but on the other thought, I think this'll be a challenge to me, because Professor Sycamore asked me to find key stones througout the regions." I explained.

"That's really quite a hard task young man." Professor Oak muttered, but still audible.

"So Ash, have you found anything?" Mom asked, I just chuckled at that.

"You see Mom, I decided to stop by here before starting my journey." I told her, and she smiled.

"Well, look at your young man Delia." Professor Oak teased and laughed. Mom just smiled.

"But I managed to have one though." I said as I showed them the keystone.

Professor Oak was the one who was shocked the most.

"Say Ash, have you let it analyzed?" Professor quickly asked.

"Yes, and Professor Sycamore said it's a Latiasite.

"A Latiasite!" Professor Oak yelled in shock.

It took him a while before he could calm down, and still was really surprised at the rare stone I acquired.

"Well, how about your journey through Alola young man?" Professor asked again.

"Well, the journey is also quite challenging, and I also managed to discover new pokemons and even new moves, they are called Z moves which can be done with the help of Z rings and Z crystals, combine them to make a powerful move, but you should make it count, because that can only be used once." I explained, they nodded and signalled me to go on.

"Well, for the champion, since Alola doesn't have a champion, and I won the tournament, I was immediately crowned as the champion of Alola." I explained further.

"My boy is a champion!" My mom said happily, and I swear I can see tears forming from her eyes, but she's expert in not letting it flow.

"That's quite remarkable young man, and I assume you're hunting for your own Elite Four too?" Professor asked with interest.

"Yes Professor, but currently, I have no candidates, but I will definitely think about that through my journey soon." I answered his question.

"If I may ask Ash, what type will you be specialized in?" He asked again, that I didn't thought of it.

"I didn't really thought about it." I sweat dropped, but something struck through me and I picked up a pokeball.

"Hmm? Something you already have in mind that will somehow connect through what will be in that pokeball Ash?" He questioned as he looked at the pokeball with interest.

"I have something in mind though, but I'm not really sure if what she says is true or not." I muttered.

Flashback

Charizard, Pikachu and I is already in Unova, still flying, I looked at the magnificent view of Nimbasa City, and reminiscing the battle between me and Elesa, but something struck through me and then thought about letting her out.

"Latias, come on out!" I yelled and then Latias came out from her capsule, she flew beside me and nuzzled her cheeks on me. Charizard was caught off guard at the sight of Latias but he doesn't mind and instead, happy to have a legendary pokemon with him.

"Hey there Latias, sorry to let you out while flying." I said and sweat dropped.

"It's okay, so what can I do for you?" She said telepathically.

"You see, I still don't know why you came to me just like that." I said and nervously laughed.

"Well, you shouldn't be surprised at that Ash, in fact, another thing will also happen in the future Ash, I just went to go first." Latias said and giggled. I stared at her blankly.

"Wait what do you mean by 'another thing will happen.'?" I asked her, not believing what I just heard.

"Arceus created a meeting for all legendaries and discussed about you, and how you care for pokemon, and Arceus said that each one of the legendaries will surely meet you, again, and that is if you want to catch them." Latias explained.

This I can't believe, me, having legendaries?

"I cannot just take them without their permission and I can't force them to come with me just like that." I said back, hands up.

"That's why Arceus likes trainers like you, and you're the one who caught Arceus' eyes." Latias said and giggled.

I was silent and was in deep thought, I was excited and nervous at the same time, mixture of emotion is running through me, mostly positive ones.

Flashback Ends

"I have something to show you Professor, but can we do it outside?" I asked him, he nodded and we went outside.

"Come on out!" I said as I tossed her pokeball, out came the magnificent jet pokemon.

"It...it's really a Latias..." Professor Oak muttered

"Such beautiful pokemon..." My mom murmured.

"You see professor, having Latias with me made me think about what I will be specialized in." I said as Latias rubbed her cheeks on mine.

"She's so close with you." My mom said as she adores the sight.

"What will you be specialized in Ash?" He asked.

"I want to be a champion who will be specializing in...legendary pokemons."
