"Master I..."

Violet began to say but Alastor raised his hand once again to silence her.

"You no longer have to call me Master my dear"

He said kindly causing Violet to look at him suspiciously, wondering if this might be a test but nonetheless the word Master stays.

"Master, I'm sorry I was out for too long, I don't know what came over me. I..."

"And it's okay dearest, this was something that was out of your control"

He said causing Violet to sadly look down.

"Come with me, I want to show you around town"

He said holding out his hand to her but she refused to hold it. She got off the bed and quickly went down on all fours but Alastor stopped her.

"You no longer have to crawl anymore, my dear"

He said. Violet looked at him nervously before getting off the floor and following behind him slowly.

All those days watching from the windows

Violet was surprised at how violent hell was, it was just like earth, except no cops around and everyone gets to do whatever they want. Violet followed along behind Alastor as he led her down the street. He offered her his arm to hold but she simply refused. They've been walking for a while until the scenery changed. The town was practically calm and carefree.

"Master, where are we?"

She asked hesitantly. Alastor stopped as he turned around to face her.

"Cannibal town"

He said excitedly.

"You mean people who eat people?"

She asked.

"That's exactly what cannibalism is"

He said before leading her to a store where it was full of people.

"There's a friend who I would like you to meet"

He said as he opened the door for her first. Violet nervously stepped in and was surprised at how nice everything was.

"Alastor! Is that you?!"

A voice yelled. A woman then hurriedly walked up to the couple and embraced Alastor.

"My dear, let me introduce you to Rosie the most darling, delightful and dangerous Overlord this side of the Pentagram."

Alastor said introducing Rosie to Violet but Violet refused to look up at her.

"Is there something wrong?"

Rosie asked in confusion.

"Nothing, she's just shy"

Alastor said making his way to Violet and forcing her to look at him.

"Be nice"

He ordered. Violet immediately obeyed

Rosie had mentioned to Alastor that the town is lighting up lanterns and invited him to come watch. Alastor and Violet found themselves alone together in a distance watching the Cannibals and cannibettes light up the sky with lanterns.

"It's lovely isn't it?"

Alastor said to Violet who was sitting on the grass near the water but Violet remained quiet as she simply watched the sky. Alastor sadly let out a sigh. He hardly heard her speak and let alone speak her mind.

'Did I really do that much damage?'

He thought before looking towards the sky. From a distance, Alastor could hear music play as an idea came to mind. He bend down near Violet.

"Would you care to dance with me?"

He asked. Violet frowns before turning around to face him.

'Is he asking me or ordering me too?'

She thought in confusion before deciding to comply before he gets angry. Violet stood up and took his hand. Together the couple silently moved side to side as they danced along the water.

'I know it's going to take time for her to see me as a new person but I have to keep trying'

He thought before giving Violet a twirl. Violet was unfazed at the twirl and continued to dance with her master.

'She doesn't smile for me but she smiles at the others'

He thought slightly angry as he tighten his hold around her. Immediately Alastor felt her began to shake and he quickly released his hold on her.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to"

He said. Violet simply cast her eyes down before nodding. She then made her way to sit down by the spot where she was at.

After the show, Alastor and Violet made their way back to town. They stopped one more time to see Rosie.

"Darling, I need to speak to Rosie for a minute, will you be okay alone?"

He asked. Violet immediately nodded before casting her eyes down to avoid any looks. Alastor sadly looked at her before making his way to Rosie.

"Rosie, I need a moment of your time"

He said. Rosie nodded as she led him to the back to have a private conversation.

"I think I might be falling in love but I've done things to her that are unforgivable"

He said sadly. Rosie sadly smiled at her long time friend.

"It can be difficult to admit to things you're not proud of, especially if those things hurt the ones you love. You fucked up, sure. You're flawed. But, hey, who down here isn't? If there's anything I've learned, it's that words are cheap, but actions, they speak the truth. So, what have your actions said?"

She asked.

Alastor could see Violet from a distance and saw she was closing herself in.

"Nothing"

He said quietly.
