A brand new Werewolf story! Once again this is (hopefully) slightly different than your standard "I'm a special white werewolf and the Alpha is my mate" Wattpad story. You can read about what you can expect below, and I recommend that you read carefully.

Furthermore, voting for my story or leaving a comment on chapters would always be appreciated! Tips on how I can improve it are always welcome, but please be polite and make sure it is constructive. My native language is Dutch, so I'm translating this story with help from Google Translate and my own English skills.

This is a Werewolf story, but with some twists as I want to keep it original. It is therefore not fully appreciated if it is copied. I started this story in 2018 (Dutch version on my profile: Ketens). I then lost my motivation to write even though I already knew how the story would develop. So here I am again, now with my motivation to finish it.

1) The higher ranks, such as the Alpha, Luna and Beta, have "eternal life". While holding the high rank, the aging process is physically 4x slower than the rest of the Pack members. This means they are able to lead and protect a Pack for longer. These higher ranks can therefore only die through three options:

a. They can only be killed by someone of the same rank (Luna by a Luna, Alpha by an Alpha, Beta by a Beta, etc.). However, higher ranked Werewolves can kill the ranks below them.

b. Of old age, if they agree to this. They then go to the Sacred Bath of Vitae, where they sleep peacefully in the water.

c. Due to the disease/poisoning of Argentum.

2) Only by physical touch can Werewolves discover if someone's their Soulmate. Though, there is a certain attraction to someone, but that can be compared to the Human version of seeing a handsome stranger walking by.

3) The story will skip. There will be chapters 1., but also 2. and so on. Importantly, there will also be chapters with 0. in front of them. The numbers above 1 will take place in the "present", the rest is in the past. If there are any ambiguities, this can always be indicated, but keep in mind that the idea is that it should not all be super logical right away.

For four long years, Tara's life has consisted of being chained in the dungeons of the Pugna Vincula organization, where her only comfort is the knowledge that the rest of her family will be spared this fate.
