As they were now in their lodging, Sahara and Nagisa were seen inside the boy's room. Right now, she was watching Nagisa playing a game on his phone as he was rolling gacha. However, Sahara couldn't help but be shocked by his rolls as he continued.

"Wow, I got a E6 Silver Wolf now. Cool."

"What kind of luck is this?! In just his first pull he got two of Silver Wolf's back-to-back! Not to mention he hasn't even paid a single dime in this game!"

"I wonder if I should try the lottery one day."

While Nagisa was playing his game, Sahara was inspecting the boy's body. He definitely gained more muscle lately. Not only that, after hearing how he performed at the Azuma Banquet from Yachiho, it seemed like he also grew stronger mentally as well. The girl couldn't help but smile at her ally.

"A hard worker blessed with talent. You truly are amazing, Nagi-chan."

"Hey, Sahara-san, thank you."

"Hmmm, where did this come from?"

"I don't tell the sixth unit this enough. Plus with what will happen from now on, I want to make sure I have no regrets. Meeting the sixth unit was one of the best things that happened to me. I honestly don't know where i'd be if Tenka-san didn't rescue me and I met you all. So thanks again, Sahara-san, meeting you and everyone else has definitely been fun."

Sahara couldn't hide how red her face was turning. Soon the girl simply placed her hands on both of Nagisa's shoulders. Before he realized it, Nagisa felt Sahara massaging him. Not only that, he also began to feel Sahara's chest pressed against his back. While the boy continued to play his game, he was shadow boxing inside of his head with joy.

"GOD IS ON MY SIDE!!! THANK YOU, MY TEEN LIFE IS FINALLY KICKING OFF WITH A BANG!!"

"Nagi-chan, are you sure you aren't pushing yourself too hard?"

Nagisa could tell that Sahara was worried from the tone of her voice. Honestly, he didn't have an answer for her. In his eyes, he felt like he had to put in this much effort to keep up with everyone. However, it can also be seen as him basically risking his entire life on just training alone.

"I'm not too sure, honestly, Sahara-san. I'm training this hard because I have a goal, but ......would you believe me if I said I never wanted to be a fighter."

"What did you want, Nagi-chan?"

"I just wanted a quiet life. Free of worrying about family or friends disappearing because of Mato, able to enjoy my games with other people, being able to sleep at night knowing things will be fine by the next day. I just want to enjoy a life where my skills at fighting aren't needed."

Honestly, Sahara could kind of understand where Nagisa was coming from. The boy just wanted a normal life. Just as she was about to lean close to Nagisa, both Sahara and the boy jumped up a bit as they heard the sound of a trumpet three times from their phones. Soon a dark expression was forming on Nagisa's face as he knew what this meant.

"The Eight Gods of Thunder are making their move."

~Mato Headquarters~
As Nagisa was walking inside of the building along with Tenka, he saw Mira standing at the doorway as if waiting for someone. When she noticed Nagisa was here, Mira merely tipped her hat to the boy as she motioned for him to follow her. As he did this, Nagisa noticed the young woman speaking to him as Tenka went ahead.

"Tomioka, i'm sorry."

"Where is this coming from?"

"When I first met you, i'll admit, I mostly did it out of pity. But two things confirmed that I was wrong about you. The first being how most chiefs who went against you in training actually praised you on how well you kept up with them or even beat them during said training."

Just as she said this, Mira took a close look at Nagisa. Truth be told, his presence was a little scary. It was calm like it always was, but this time it felt like something more dangerous was hidden inside this calm boy. If she were to compare it to something, it would be like being out at sea at night but it's dead silent.

"The second reason being that your gaze has changed. You seem a lot more mature and even stronger now. Let's go, i'll be counting on you more, Tomioka."

"Heh. What a weird of saying I earned your respect."

~In the conference room~
As all the chiefs, Yuuki, and Nagisa had all sat down in the room, they noticed that Ren wasn't here. Ginna soon motioned to a screen to reveal that her commander was going to communicate remotely while she was in Washington. Seeing as everyone was gathered, Ren started the meeting.

"I'll explain why you were called on such short notice. Actresses have been reported to go missing one after another in Yokohama. The police had been investigating this as an ability-used crime until they found this."

"We need to take care of her first. We'll be building a subjugation squad, have it collaborate with the police, and take down the enemy. There's a gate that leads to Yokohama, your unit is in charge of it, Mira."

"Understood."

"This subjugation squad will be compromised of few people, we can't let Mato be understaffed."

"Y'know what?"

"I already have the people in mind. The ones who will "dance" with me.....Kyouka. Not only her, but I need a trump card, that's why I want you too."

As Mira said this, she threw her hat towards the supposed trump card of the operation. Nagisa simply puts on the hat as he looks at Mira staring at him. She didn't need to tell the boy twice, he was going to pull his weight this mission. As soon as the meeting ended, the subjugation squad was going to head off. While Yuuki and Nagisa followed Kyouka and Mira, they both shared the same thought. The next battle against the Eight Gods of Thunder would be in their world.

~Meanwhile~
Within an abandoned building, Kuusetsu was seen holding her latest victim over her shoulder. Behind her were two shuuki, the spider-like one being the same one that was in the hidden village. As it spat out its web from its mouth, it hung Kuusetsu's victim from the ceiling along with the others.

"I should thank you. Shikoku-nee said we had an ally in the human world that she worked with before."

As Kuusetsu said this, they saw two figures walking from out the shadows. The first one being a woman with pitch-black hair that wore a black body-length suit with a hood, which extends downwards to her knees. The hood itself is adorned with an eye-like marking upon either side which, interestingly, when worn in addition to the shape of her hair, gives it the appearance of a snake's mouth, with teeth and fangs.

"I heard of what happened. You ate a second peach inside of Mato itself, causing your body to become more shuuki like."

"In doing so, I awakened a second ability, which is extremely rare. The ability to extract the memories of anyone my snakes bite and giving form to said memories via providing it a body to inhabit. During the Mato Cradle Ark Incident, I had a second body work in my stead by having my snakes bite me and implant the data of my being onto a woman who was trapped inside of Mato."

As Medusa finished her explanation, Kuusetsu suddenly jumped backwards involuntarily. She didn't know why, but she began to sweat as her body was starting to shake. Kuusetsu was confused by this herself since all she did when Medusa finished talking was glance at the second figure in the room. Seeing her reaction, Medusa chuckled.

"You see, one of my snakes bit an interesting man who just left Japan. After going through his memories, I found an individual with extremely high potential and power. Someone who might even surpass the man that Shikoku has her sights on. So I only implanted the data of the man in this state specifically."

"Really? Just who is this guy?"

"A masterpiece."
