Athena's Pov:

"Come on Ares! I'm gonna be late again!" I yell as he is putting on his uniform. God this is everyday. I should start waking him up an hour early. "I can't find my English paper Athena!" He whines, everyday it's the same thing, every fucking day. I can't be a normal 21 year old, nope, I have to become a mother to my baby brother and a maid to my father. Why did you leave me mom? "It's in your backpack! come on, Vamonos!! I can't be late for class again!"

I drop him off at school and speed to mine. God please don't make me late. when I arrive at campus, I have 3 minutes to get to class. So I ran as fast as my legs will take me, when I ran into a wall, well...person. I pick up my book and shoot a quick sorry before running to class. When I finally make it, I take my seat just as the bell rang. I wonder who I hit? Oh well.

Class ended an hour early. Thank God I have time to rest and take a small nap. Everyday is the same thing, get up, cook, get Ares ready, clean, Drop him off, school, cook dinner, clean, work, and sleep for 4 hours. I know what a life. My head is pounding as I am walking towards my car, when once again, I ran into a fricking wall...I mean person. "OW! Watch it asshole!" I snarled. "You ran into me if I'm not mistaken." he has a strong British accent. "Well you are mistaken. Now move." When I look up to see him, I am star struck. Who the hell is this god- I mean man? His green eyes dazzle in the sun and his smile is white as snow. Did I die? "Oo feisty I like it." and that ladies and gents snapped me back into reality. "Just get out of my way please." I walked passed him and into my car. By the time I arrived home I started cleaning and get a head start on dinner so I can rest before picking up Ares.

Finally finished, I laid down on the couch ready to be swept into dream land when a sudden ruckus of loud music startled me. What the hell? Who the fuck is playing music? It was coming from next door. God its the new tenants. "AHHHHH GOD FUCKING HELL" I throw my hands up, frustrated. Well there goes my nap. "Who's playing that loud music?!" I hear my dad call from his room. He stays there all day, since mom died he barely come out of his room, and when he does he just gets a beer and goes back inside. He lost his job a month ago, so I am left to handle all the bills, and with the money he gets from unemployment, he spends it on beer and alcohol.

I put on my shoes and grabbed my jacket, ready to, as the old people say, knock some heads. right when I'm about to exit, I get a facetime from my bestie Caden,

"Heyyyy bitchh!!!!" He screams on the phone. "Hi bestieeeee!" I say, he is one of the only people that actually cared and stayed by my side when my mom died, and he is very understanding about my going out restrictions. "Bitchhh you are coming with me to this club tonight! They are having a battle of the bandd!"

" I don't know, you know how my dad is." He doesn't let me go out, unless it's to work and school otherwise he throws a fit and starts breaking stuff.

"Just sneak out hooker! listen I know you're scared but you have to live once in a while. I barely even see you anymore. I know benji bitch misses you. Come on PLEASEEEEE!" he begs

Benji Scott is my boyfriend, we have been dating for 3 years now. Caden HATES him, thinks he's trash but Benji is good to me, he treats me right and loves me. We call each other every other night and text all day. Yeah sometimes he doesn't reply but we are adults we have other stuff to do.

Maybe I can surprise him at the club. "Okay, Okay, Okay, I will go but don't tell Benji! I want to surprise him when I show up"

"YAYYY! I will scoop you up at 9pm after Ares goes to bed."

"Okay byeeee love you!" I wave goodbye

"BYE BESTIE!!!" He kisses the camera and hangs up.

Oh god I have nothing to wear, all my clothes are for work and school. My alarm rings, Its time to pick Ares up and get dinner ready.

I put my jacket on and get in my car. Damn the neighbors are still being loud. I drive to Ares school and wait for him outside.

I hoped on my phone while I wait for my bug to get out of school and search up where the club is and to text Benji since he hasn't texted me since last night.

*Texts to benji*

Me: Hey baby, what are you doing tonight?

I hit sent when I hear my door open.

"Hi Athena!!!! School was amazing today! In English we made a poem and in Science we made a volcano and got to touch a lava rock!" Ares says excitedly, jumping up and down in his seat.

"Haha That sounds like so much fun bug! I can't wait to get home and you read me your poem. Now sit down and put your seat belt on."

Hopefully Benji replies soon, I need to get out of this house.
