Part 43 Approver

"Khushi, you should go," Arnav said.

"Hithesh burnt your house... Where are you going to stay?" Khushi asked worriedly.

"NK and Daniel asked us to come to their house," Arnav said.

"If you want something, I will send it to you through Nanne," Khushi said.

"Sure... you too take care of yourself," Arnav said.

"I have to go..." Khushi said.

Arnav pressed his lips on her forehead.

"Bye."

Khushi left the place and walked through the same way she came. Arnav waited there for a while and left the place.

Shivshaktipur became haste when the village people learned of Akash's escape. Arnav and his friends were disappointed. Daniel repented a lot about it but he conveyed the happenings of Shivshaktipur to the commissioner and asked for the police force. Using a good chance, the commissioner sent the force to establish a police station in the Shivsakthipur.

"I'm sorry Arnav. We missed arresting Akash." Daniel apologized to him heartedly.

Arnav was silent but Aman.

"He is a dangerous man than we thought. He is the one who killed his wife." Aman said making them a shock.

"What do you say?" NK asked shockingly.

"Yes, he and his mother killed payal. Their farmworker Radha is the eye-witness of the murder." Arnav said.

"How do you know?" Daniel asked.

"Khushi heard them talking about it. Radha demanded money to hide the truth it seems." Arnav said.

"If it is so, let me handle it," Daniel said.

"We can't expect Radha to say the truth," Arnav said doubtfully.

"You don't worry about it. I know how to get the truth from the criminal." Daniel said.

"He made arrangements to establish a police station in our village," NK said.

"That's great news." The trio said excitedly.

"Yeah, Akash's case will be the first case of the police station," Daniel said.

They saw the president coming towards them with tension.

"What I heard is true?" He asked restlessly.

"What you heard?" Daniel asked.

"Are you starting a police station in our village?" he asked angrily.

"Yes... "

"But why? how could you do it without my knowledge?"

"Why should I get you permission? Akash escaped. Our department is severely suspecting you in that matter." Daniel turned the table in his favor.

"Whaaaat! You are suspecting me?" The president shouted in shock as he didn't expect this twist.

"Yes... how did Akash know we are coming? How did he escape from the Shivshankar's house in the mid-night? He would not have done that without anyone's help."

"But, what was my mistake in that?"

"Someone should have alerted him... and why not that someone could be you?"

"No... I didn't alert him. Why would I do that when I'm totally disappointed with his act?" The president yelled.

"It's because you don't want a stranger to marry your village girl." Daniel gave him a reason.

"No... it's a pure lie."

"Whatever... you can't stop us from establishing a police station in this village anymore. The process started. Akash is the founder of the police station... he himself build a foundation for the police station by his act." Daniel said smiling devilishly.

Daniel was not wrong. The villagers had never given a chance for Daniel. This is the first time, the president was standing helplessly.

"We are taking Akash's mother into our custody. She will be in the house arrest." Daniel said.

"But why she?"

"Because we are suspecting her also. We have the power to do anything if we suspect ANYONE ( he stressed)." Daniel said.

The president gulped hard. He knew very well, that ANYONE mentioned by Daniel is none other than HIM. The president would have killed Akash if he had been in front of him. How cleverly he had been keeping the villagers in his control...! This Akash ruined everything selfishly. From now onwards, he won't be the most powerful man in this village. The president became furious.

Akash's mother Mohini got house arrested. That matter had spread all over the village like a forest fire. All the villagers started cursing Akash. Because of him, their villages are facing such a crucial situation. Mohini was also not exceptional. She was like, she will tear Akash into pieces if she sees him.

Daniel knocked on Radha's house door. She opened the door and gulped seeing the police and also the archeologists standing with him. She started shivering as she got the message of Mohini's house arrest.

"Please come in, sir." She said plastering a smile.

They didn't deny it.

"Look at your children for one last time," Daniel said which made her puzzled.

"Why sir?" she asked hesitatingly.

"It's because you are not going to come back soon. It may take at least seven years." Daniel said seriously.

"What are you talking about sir?" Radha asked nervously as she got his point.

"Mohini told us everything about you..." Daniel said.

Radha was dumbfounded. What's there that Mohini could say about her?

"What did she say?" Radha asked fearfully.

"You helped her to kill her daughter-in-law Payal." He lied.

Radha felt a big rock was rolling in her stomach. She looked at him like he was a ghost.

"She is lying..." Radha shouted.

"Why should she lie? She agreed that she and her son killed her daughter-in-law by hitting on her head and created a scene as she slipped in the bathroom..." Daniel recited everything that he heard from Arnav. He twisted it as Mohini told him.

Radha was horror-struck. She knew no one knows about it except her, Akash, and Mohini. Then how this policeman says everything as if he witnessed it in front of his eyes? Maybe that witch Mohini would have told the truth and trapped her also in the case. She should not be quiet anymore. Or else, she will also go to jail with Mohini and Akash.

"Inspector sir, I will tell you what really happened."

"Ohh... Really?"

"Yes sir..."

Daniel looked at Arnav and he nodded yes. He started recording her confession on his mobile.

"What happened?" Daniel asked.

"Payal was a good girl sir. She was not blessed with a child. That's when Akash's eyes fell on Payal's sister Khushi. He wanted to marry her. But... until Payal is alive he can't marry her. He told Mohini about his desire. Mohini was ready to talk to Garimaji about it. They didn't even give heed to Payal's feelings. But, as they didn't expect, Khushi fell in love with an archeologist which made Akash furious. He was not ready to take time. He planned to kill Payal and framed it as an accident. Mohini gave her hand to Akash in that matter. They hit on her head with an iron rod and framed it as an accident as per their plan. The only thing they didn't expect is my presence."

"Why did you go to their house? You are their farmworker right?"

"Yes sir, I was working on their farm. But, I won't take my full salary from Mohini. I used to save half of my salary every month. Mohini is the one who saved my money because my husband spends money on drinking. That day I was in the need of money. So I went to her house to get my money back. There was no one in the house. I searched for her. That's when I saw them hitting Payal in the bathroom. She fell down in the pool of blood. I shouted in fear and rushed out from there. Mohini told me that she will give me half an Acer agriculture land if I keep my mouth shut. I agreed to it not just because of my greediness I was scared of them. They didn't even show mercy on Payal who never complain about them then they won't hesitate to kill me too. That's why I agreed to it, sir."

She recited everything. Arnav stopped the recording.

"Ok... I will mention you as the approver. You should come to the court and tell the truth. You can't escape as we recorded your statement."

Daniel gestured to Arnav and he played the video. Radha stunned, seeing the video.

"No, sir, I will definitely tell the truth. Please save me."

"It is only in your hand. You will be safe until you are loyal to us."

Arnav and Daniel left the house with a winning smile.

Arnav's Guess

As per Radha's statement, Daniel arrested Mohini and sent her to jail. Radha's statement shook the whole village. Neither they can believe nor could they digest the truth. Payal was a good girl no one can get as a wife and also a bahu. The villagers felt bad for Payal.
