They'd walked for a few days, mostly because Sactum kept getting distracted and would always drag Scourge to a different place, yet Scourge just awkwardly followed him when he did, he still didn't understand his new behaviour and it was starting to annoy Steel greatly with the two other hedgehogs, but finally they had made it to Kintobor's hide out, Sactum just hummed as he slammed into the door, breaking it down

"uh... Was... was that really necessary?" Scourge asked, as Sactum shrugged

"No not really, but it was fun!" the black and orange hedgehog grinned as he then started striding down the hall as alarms went off, signalling their arrival, not that it'd be any point in going inside if the doctor was smart enough to leave as the alarms were sounding, but to Scourge's surprise when he and Steel eventually found where Sactum had run off too, they found him pinning the tall human down "Found him!" Sactum smirked

"W-what do you want now?" The human swallowed the lump in his throat as he laid pinned to the ground

"We wanted to know if you did any sneaky shit with Scourge" Steel scoffed "He's acting like that brat prime version"

"Hey!" Scourge shot him a small glare, but winced and looked away as Steel glared right back

"I haven't done anything to him!" Kintobor exclaimed "First those zone cops cuome here asking questions now you three devils" 

"Zone cops?" the three hedgehogs blinked, as Scourge grimaced at the memory of Zonic 

"they came here asking if i'd seen Scourge or even Zonic, I told them i hadn't seen a thing" Kintobor muttered "But I head that scientist say something about 'The Chain Reaction Theory' no idea what that has to do with anything" Scourge seemed to close his mouth shut tightly 

"My...er... Father used to go on about things like that after... Mum died" He mumbled quietly, it seemed to surprise everyone as they turned to him

"What do you mean?" Steel asked with a stern look aimed at Scourge

"I mean... He'd talk about how sometimes in the prime zone when something happens it happens to all their counterparts... He said that was what happened to Mum... said something about her prime version being killed by someone while my mum was doing dinner when i was like 8... when Dad... went to check on her after something broke and she didn't answer she'd been shot in the head...." Scourge had no idea why he was even saying this... he'd never said how his mother died or what caused it

"Holy shit..." Sactum muttered "But that still doesn't explain why your acting like this"

"maybe something happened to Sonic prime that caused this?" Steel rolled his eyes

"Yeah right, Blue's stubborn and too nice for his own good" Scourge rolled his eyes, but he felt sick after that, as he remembered how Zonic had looked at him with those bright red eyes and the stench of blood that clinged to him

"He killed Robotnik Prime several days before" Kintobor stated in answer, the three hedgehogs froze
