Naina is left teary eyed with Anoop's words. She has understood her mistake. She has never loved the named girl, yet she left them alone. She left the person, who has brought her up. He hasn't birthed her though, yet the love is seamless. Also, her son isn't the same. Since Ruhana has  left them, Vineet has turned silent. He was a fun loving and naughty person, but he is changed in the present. He has made himself busy in his work such that he doesn't  have time to talk to Naina or Anoop.

On the other hand, Anoop is also sad. He has made Ruhana what she is today. Though she is not his own daughter, yet he has taken her as his own child. He is the one who took care of Ruhana when everyone else left. And when Naina entered back into their life, Ruhana had to leave  him. Naina knows that Ruhana is a part of his heart, yet she didn't say anything. Ruhana left Anoop for Naina, for she didn't want Vineet to stay away from both his parents.

She has realized her mistake now, when everything has changed in the house, especially her son. Tears trickle down her eyes as she remembers it all. She knows it is her fault. She peeps into Vineet's room and finds him sleeping on the bed holding a photograph in his arms. She enters inside the room and takes a close look at her son. She smears his head and frees the photo frame from his grip. It is Ruhana’s picture. It's the picture that Naina saw when she first met Anoop after the long separation. So, this is how her son is sleeping at night. Naina kisses his head and leaves the room after placing the picture near his pillow.

She moves to her room and finds Anoop standing in the balcony. He is lost in his thoughts. The night is spreading its claws and Vineet is  asleep early. He is tired, maybe. Anoop asks  about Vineet at which Naina tells him that he's asleep. A smile makes place on Anoop's face. Maybe the past flashed in front of his eyes. He tells Naina how Ruhana used to fall asleep in a few minutes after a hard day. Naina feels bad but she can't do anything. She's the one who's responsible for the miserable condition of her husband and son. She doesn't say anything but asks him to rest.

Ruhana's home

After fixing a simple dinner for herself and Vikrant who stayed on her insistence, Ruhana is now sitting in her room. Vikrant is gone, asking her to take care of herself. He's really a kind soul who knows what she has gone through since he has been  her partner when she underwent police training. They parted from each other as Ruhana was transferred to Mumbai and Vikrant was placed in Bangalore.

Ruhana is sitting on the bed with a cup of coffee in her hands. This is a little ritual she used to do with Anoop. The only difference being that Anoop used to prepare coffee for both of  them and today she has to prepare it herself.

She picks Anoop's picture from the side table and smears it. She misses him but she can't meet him. Not because she is abandoned but because she knows she won't be able to control her feelings for her father and for Vineet as well. Also, she has promised Naina that she won't come back in life. She won't be able to leave them again, and she doesn't want to feel weak in front of her father.

Her mobile beeps with a message and she pickes it up. As she unlocks her phone, there is Vineet's picture on the screen. She smears the picture murmuring an apology. She knows she has hurt him with her decision but she didn't want Vineet to stay away from his father.

"I'm sorry Vineet. I know tum gussa ho mujhse, par aur koi raasta nahi tha mere paas. I miss you, lekin nahi aa sakti tumhare ya papa ke saamne. Main aayi toh sab bikhar jayega. I'm sorry." she murmurs and kisses his picture and falls asleep holding both the pictures in her hand.

Both the men are precious to her - - her lifelines. But she can't go to them. A painful smile lights her face as she falls asleep.
