this isn't a rant. This is just the smallest explanation I can give of whatever the fuck is even going on in this country anymore.

I'll start from events in the start of this year till now.

with the farmers protests going on, India urged China to back away from Pangong lake in Ladakh. Everything wasn't that bad at that time, everything was rather calm. Not many covid cases, Infact covid cases were going lower and lower day by day. We had some hope, hope of going back to a normal life style. Hope of everything going back to normal and our economy going back up.

And the farmers were still protesting for their rights(I support the farmers). They weren't backing down either. But everything was going alright. Then came Republic Day, 26th January. The Delhi police allowed farmers and tractors to pass for a tractor rally. But then things escalated.

Well, what happened? to explain it simply. After a LOT of tractors and protesters came in the Capital territory, the police became violent. The police then threw tear gas bombs at the protesters who were unarmed and had NO weapons on them whatsoever. Then, the farmers fought back and defended themselves. They broke down the barriers and ran through the streets. Lots of farmers had the Indian flag with them, and they weren't putting the flags down no matter what happened. They marched through the streets and eventually protested in front of the iconic red fort. Lot of people managed to get INSIDE the red fort. There was so much controversy about this and was on the news for 2 weeks. Especially because there was government propaganda being spread by Modi, and to make the farmers look bad when they only defended themselves. Infact, the officers killed 300+ unarmed protesters as well. The day was... gorey but not too gorey to say the least.

so many people saw it, on the news or on grounds. Everyone was talking about it. It was on global news.

but no one ever talked about what we Indians felt of the situation. I don't speak for all Indians when I say this, I only speak for those who have similar to opinions as mine, we though that the government was going to get more violent and the farmers would be left with no choice but to revolt. Which by the sounds of it, was obviously not going to end well. And thankfully that didn't happen. But something else which was also terrifying took place. The government sent some soldiers from the Indian army to surround some parts of Punjab. That meant, if things got too violent, then the Punjabi people would DEFINITELY revolt. And once again, thankfully the army was given orders to leave the area.

now comes February 2021.
Elections were announced in West Bengal, Kerala, Assam, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
And then, there were nation wide protests against the rising fuel prices. And it was HUGE, and almost everyone from every state and Union territory was involved in it. Besides that not much really happened in February.

March 2021
This is when the covid cases started spiking. Tens of thousands of people were getting infected per day. The situation at this point was spiralling, it could be been kept in control if the government decided to actually help but they didn't. All hell broke loose in April 2021...

April 2021
the Oxygen crisis had now officially started.

Those are some videos that explain the oxygen crisis. It was terrifying. Thousands were dying every 10 hours. The oxygen supply was running out. People were in their knees, begging and crying to have oxygen cylinders for their family members or relatives. Mass cremation, no beds left for patients. Panick everywhere.

No one knew what to do, no one knew how to help. We were hopeless, the situation completely spiraled out of control, our health industry was on the VERGE of collapse. All we could do, was hope and pray. For us Indians, our world was slowly falling apart into small little pieces.

We all thought, this is the end for us.

Well, now that the wave three is probably going to have in August then... the oxygen crisis will be... god I can't find words to explain how horrific it would be.

May 2021
on 2nd May, Mamata Banerjee was made the CM of West Bengal. BJP and Modi had made the West Bengal elections such a big deal that most Indians were focused on the results on the West Bengal election results. Modi said that he'd win, fortunately he lost.
But the violence that followed...

just have this message a person sent to me to explain what was happening in West Bengak at the time, they themselves are Bengali and told me most of the stuff going on

Currently in Bengal, Mamata Banjerjee Goons are raping and killing women and children. Many innocent people are dying for opposing TMC (All India Congress) during Bengal Elections. Peoples animals and pets are being slaughtered on the streets. Families are getting kicked out of homes and forced to leave for voting for BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) during the elections.
A BJP worker, Avijit Sarkar, was lynched to death and his puppies got slaughtered by TMC goons. Sova Rani Mondal, the mother to Kamal Mondal, was killed and gang-raped by goons, trying to save her son from blood thirsty political rivals. People are getting beaten up and killed simply for being a worker of BJP.
Shops of BJP are being looted and the police are not taking action about it, about ANYTHING. Even the media is too scared to talk about it and not even one investigation journalist is on ground in Bengal.
People are literally begging for their lives to be saved, yet no one is doing anything. No campaigns, petitions, nothing.
PLEASE RAISE YOUR VOICE! LET PEOPLE KNOW WHATS HAPPENING IN BENGAL.

tho I do support Mamata Banerjee, her supporters went too far. And they took it to a extremist level, it's best I not share my full opinions here to avoid controversy.

June 2021
the Communists(specifically the Naxalites) had killed Indian soldiers in the forets of Chattisgarh. They kept attack, injuring and killing Indian soldiers. And some Naxalites were also caught and killed.
400+ Naxalites did surrender, but they won't stop until they get to control the Indian state of Chattisgarh. Shame on the government, it's been going on for 53 damn years and they've done nothing and still haven't resolved it. Chattisgarh is in utter poverty, destruction, arson, murder and the people there are suffering as well but the government isn't doing anything.

July 2021
The covid cases rose once again. But it didn't stay on the news for longer than 2 hours. Nothing much happened in July thankfully.

this is just brief. You have no idea how terrible the conditions here are. News say the third covid wave will be in August, I pray that it doesn't get too bad... because then our country will completely fall apart, we'll have no place to go. It's so... terrible here I just, I wish we had a better government..
