ok so a thing I remembered, the thing where certain countries are a part of religions.

so I want to clarify things, most countries in my AU are atheist

if a country has official made a certain religion as a part of their constitution then that country will be a part of that religion

for example, The Islamic Republic of Pakistan and so on

even if most of a country follows a certain religion, for example 80% of people in India are Hindus but that country hasn't made it their official religion and is secular the country is atheist. Since in the Indian constitution India is declared secular she isn't actually a Hindu.

the countries just like certain religions which are majority of their population but aren't a part of that religion.

this is just my AU and headcanon!
