So, since I'm adding a bunch of new chapters in the first and third books, here is some art I drew while concepting the current draft of book one.

Little background too.
In the new ending and chapters I'm writing (yippee) I'm changing up the events of the end of book one. To make it longer and more YA as opposed to middle grade.

Some of the changes are that Matthew, technically having full custody of Oliver, has the court on his side. So until proven to be an unfit parent, he's got Oliver until Jon beats him in court. During the time Oliver is with his bio dad, Matthew undoes a lot of things to exert absolute control over him.

I also am gonna highlight a little more of Oliver’s vulnerabilities, cause I've gotten feedback from some betas that he's borderline unlikable, I'm also gonna speed up some of his character growth progress.

AND I'm adding in little hints that Marie isn't that great of a parent >:3 she lied on the intake forms they had to fill out after Matthew nearly kills them, doesn't press full charges on Matthew (granted, he wouldn't sign the divorce papers if she had) to name a few.

I am also gonna develop Douglass a little more, cause he and ols have an interesting relationship. (Aside from the gay) and I'm excited for the scene I've planned to add to do some of that. :3
