"Wasted Chances" Kai x OC

(A/N: This is the prologue for my upcoming story, Wasted Chances. I don't know if people would like it so I'm testing it out here :) Please tell me your opinions.

BTW, The OC's name is Akashii Iana, Kai's best friend next to Miwa)

Wasted Chances: Prologue

"-I really love you-"

"-Sorry...I don't-"

He ran. He doesn't care where, but as long as he could get away from the girl who broke his heart, it's alright.

But no, he wasn't alright. Of course, who would be alright if your heart would be broken?

The brunette wiped some of his tears as he ran. Then suddenly, the weather changed. It was supposed to be a sunny day, but then it rained, as if recognizing the brunette's mood.

His phone vibrated in his pocket, and he read it. 'Kai, are you alright?' It was from his best friend Iana, who obviously saw the scene.

But Kai chose to lie. It was easier to lie through text, after all. 'Yeah, don't worry Iana, I'm alright.' He lied even though he knows that Iana was chasing him. He doesn't have to turn around to know.

Iana sighed as she read his text. 'Liar. I know you aren't alright.' She thought as she saw Kai enter his apartment, leaving the door slightly open.

She rushed inside, and immediately went upstairs. Kai's room was locked, so she decided to call him. "I told you Iana, I'm al-"

"No you aren't. Stop lying, would you? I'm going to enter." She cut him off and then she hung up. Iana got her spare key and the lock opened.

She was shocked as she saw her best friend. He was a total wreck. "Kai-"

"Leave me alone." He said in a monotoned voice.

"Just let me-" Iana was interrupted once again.

"I SAID LEAVE ME ALONE!"

"No, I won't." She approached him slowly and hugged him. Kai cried on her shoulder, but Iana couldn't care less.

"I-Iana...Please..." He sobbed.

"What is it, Kai?" She asked.

"Help me..." He trailed off, but Iana understood what he meant.

"Kai, don't waste your time over her. She wasted her chance to be with you-" She stopped since she felt Kai's grip on her sleeve.

"And I want her to regret it." He interrupted her, his voice was firm and serious.
