Adrien's POV

I found the first button, but nothing happened.

After feeling around more and not finding anything I give up.

"This has to mean something!" I say as I push the button again.

"Honey, nothing is happening. We'll just have to find another way." My aunt tells me.

"I guess..." I trail off.

There is another way, but it'll be hard.

How could I use the horse miraculous without revealing my identity?

I could take it back to y/n, but she'd wonder why I wasn't going with her.

Maybe I could tell her it's a test?

But still, I can only do that if Ladybug actually did take the miraculous back to Master Fu.

It's worth a shot.

If it could get mom back.

We look around a bit more, but find nothing.

"Oh what's the use? We're not finding anything. I'll see if I can somehow get in touch with the supers, I know the girl who runs the blog about them, maybe she knows how to contact them." I make up an excuse.

"Ok dear. And we were wondering if you'd like us to stay here, at least, until we can get to Emilie, and see what's going on there." Aunt Amile says.

"Yes please. There's plenty of room for you. Come on."

I take them to the guest rooms, it would be fun to have Felix share a room with me so we could catch up, but I can't risk him seeing me transform, and I dont think he wants to.

He seems a lot more serious now than he used to be, bored with being here, and with me.

Aunt Amile thanks me for the rooms, and suggests we get food.

"Sure! I'll go ask the chef to prepare something. Anything particular you want?"

"Oh, surprise me! What about you, Felix?"

"Just some onion soup, please."

"Alright."

I go downstairs and to the kitchen, tell the chef what we all want, and go back upstairs.

My aunt and cousin are talking in Felix's temporary room, so I don't bother them, but go to my room.

"Hey, kid?" Plagg asks.

"Yeah?"

"What's the deal with your cousin? He seems kinda rude."

"Plagg, be nice. He lost his father recently, and is probably upset with me because I didn't go to the funeral, but father wouldn't let me go."

"Oh. Well I just have a bad feeling about him..."

"That's probably just all the cheese you've eaten."

"Of course it isn't! My cheese would never cause me pain!" He says dramatically.

"Yeah, yeah."

He rushes off to get more cheese and I go gather up a few things Felix and I used to do when we were younger.

He used to be really good with magic tricks, though I think I've got a better one now.

The chef sends for me, so I get the others and we go to eat.

"Adrien, this is delicious! Please tell your chef that they are wonderful!" Aunt Amile praises.

I smile and tell her I will.

The dinner is eaten in mostly silence, but is still warmer than my usual meals.

When everyone is finished I ask Felix if he'd like to come to my room so we could catch up.

He nods so we go up and start playing chess.

"So, Felix. I'm really sorry about not coming when you lost your father. I wasn't allowed to come."

"Why not?"

"My father is... Protective?"

"Hm." He hums with a nod as he moves his piece.

I assume he's content with this answer, so we continue playing.

After a while Felix says he's tired and goes off to bed.

Not to seem rude, but I'm glad.

I want to go see y/n, after talking to Master Fu.

I make sure nobody is around and transform.

Leaping out the window, I run to Master's house and knock on his door.

"Hello again, Adrien."

"Hi, Master. I must speak with you. " I say.

"What about?"

"First of all, Ladybug showed up."

"Yes, she came to see me as well."

"Good. But did she give you the butterfly miraculous? Someone used it to make an akuma!"

"I know. And yes, she had that one as well."

"Ok. Did she bring back the horse?"

"Yes, why?"

"I need to borrow it..."

"Why?"

"Because, I don't know how else to find my mother! That's the only way I know of to get to her!"

"Ok. But will you be using it?"

"No, my aunt and cousin came to my house today, so I have to stay with them as a civilian."

"Then who will be holding it?"

"Y/n, the girl who used it when we caught my father."

"And you trust her to give it back?"

"Of course!"

"And I trust you. But how will you give it to her, will she not wonder why Cat Noir won't accompany her?"

"I was thinking I could tell her it's a test, like to see if she can do lone missions or something like that."

"Yes, that could work."

"Ok. So I can give it to her?"

"As long as she gives it back."

"She will."

He nods and gets the glasses.

"Thank you, Master."

He nods his acknowledgement and I go out and to y/n's house.

I knock on her balcony door, and after a few seconds she opens it.

"Hi Kitty!"

"Hey Angel. I have a surprise!"

"Ooh, tell me!"

I take the box from my pocket and hand it her.

"What's this?"

"Open it."

She does and smiles when she sees the bright flash.

"You got her back!" She says with delight.

"Yep. Ladybug finally returned them. "

"Good. I was worried something had happened to her."

"Me too." I'm not so concerned what exactly happened now.

I guess she didn't know y/n and I are together now, but still.

She was really weird.

"Hello again. Are you famous now?" Kaalki asks.

Y/n giggles and says "Not really. But I did get interviewed by a popular reporter."

"Wonderful, let me see!"

"See what?"

"The interview of course!"

"I don't know if it's up, it was just earlier today." Y/n tells her.

"You can always look."

"Yeah, I guess." You reply to the little kwami and get out your phone.

You type 'Ladyblog' into Google and go to the official page.

"Well it is up. You're in luck, Kaalki."

"Oh, you're the lucky one. You'll be famous now!"

You laugh and read the latest addition, with Cat looking over your shoulder.

Cat Noir must have a new lady!

The title says, making you feel your cheeks heat up.

"Does he now?" You say slyly.

"Why yes he does." Cat replies.

You chuckle and continue reading, it's mostly about how Alya saw you and Cat at the park, and then the recording of your conversation.

"Ah, you're on a famous blog with hundreds of followers! You are worthy now!" Kaalki says as she spins around in the air

"What's that mean? Was I horrible?" You ask, slightly hurt.

"Oh no, darling! You were great, it's just, I'm usually with the more famous holders." She reassures you.

"Well, a change of scene is always nice. Hey, Cat?" You ask, suddenly remembering something.

"Yeah?"

"Why did you bring her back? Don't get me wrong, I'm happy to see her, but I thought it was just a one time thing? Besides, Hawkmoth is gone."

"Yes, well, I have a mission for you."

"Ooh, a mission!? What kind?"

"Remember how Hawkmoth had that woman in the tube thing?"

"Yeah, that was weird."

"Uh huh, anyway, Hawkmoth's son needs to get to his mother, to take her to the hospital or somewhere. See if they can find out what's wrong with her."

"Oh yeah. I hope she's ok."

"I do too." He says looking away.

He looks really sad, which makes you think of your theory that he is Hawkmoth's son.

You decide to do an experiment.

"So will you be coming with me?"

"Um, no, you don't need me."

"But how will I find this place?"

"I'll give you directions, don't worry."

"Ok. But who will be there to get the woman?"

"Her son, sister and nephew."

"Have you ever met them?"

"Yeah, they seem nice."

"That's good to hear. You know how sarcastic I can be if people are rude, and I wouldn't want to have them complain against me or anything."

He laughs and says "Mmhmm, probably a good idea to not be super sarcastic."

"It'll be hard." You joke.

"I know. But I'm sure you can handle it."

"It'd be easier if you were there."

"Why?"

"Just a reminder."

"Well still, I can't be there."

"Why not?"

All this is just more proof that he is Adrien.

"Because how else will we know if you can do solo missions in case something happens."

"Ok then."

"I'd be there if I could, it's just rules."

"Alright, I get it."

"K. Well, I guess I should go. It's late."

"Yeah. Oh, what time should I go there?"

"Probably sometime around noon would be good."

"Okidoke. And the address?"

He writes it down and gives it to you.

"Thanks. Do I need to like, call before I go?"

"Nah, just knock."

"Ok. I'll see you tomorrow?"

"Yeah. See ya."

You hug him, lingering for a moment.

After pulling away he smiles and starts to go, but you lean up and kiss him, which startles him.

You laugh at his expression and say "Y'know we are dating now."

"Of course I know that!"

"Then don't be so surprised!"

"Ok then."

And with that he plants his lips on yours, giving you a startle.

He pulls away and laughs.

"Don't be so surprised!" He mimics you, making you laugh.

"Ok, I gotta go. See you later!"

"Bye Kitty!"

You wave as he jumps away, fading into the darkness.

Before you can forget, you get your notepad and make a addition.
