Adrien's POV

I wake up to find the credits of the movie I had turned on rolling, and look around to find the clock reading I've been out for a while.

I forgot to text y/n! I think and cringe, but I did tell her to go ahead and sleep, so she's probably not worried or anything.

I guess I should text her anyway, just in case.

"Plagg?" I whisper, unable to see him.

"Plagg?" A little louder.

"Plagg!" Still nothing.

I get up, and he's nowhere to be found.

Not in his cheese stash, not in the clothes hamper, he hasn't even snuck to the kitchen.

I have a feeling something is wrong, but it's not until I look at my hand that I realize just what it is.

My ring is gone.

But how could this have happened!?

Did it fall off in bed? That's never happened before!

Besides, that wouldn't explain Plagg's disappearance, he would only disappear if I'd wanted him to.

What if...

What if someone took it?!

But who, and why?

Surely nobody would know what it really is?!

Besides, who would have the chance?

Most off the staff is gone by 8:30.

So that leaves Felix and Aunt Amelie.

And she surely wouldn't take it, the only rings she's ever wanted were my parent's wedding bands.

That must mean Felix.

I should've seen it coming, he's must've been spying on me or something and saw me transform.

He's probably especially mad at me now, since I "threatened" him.

And that's what he's doing, getting revenge.

In the worst way.

He'll take it out on y/n.

I have to get over there!

Without even taking time to change, I just put on shoes, get my scooter, and go as fast as possible to her house.

I'm within seeing distance, and can definitely tell Felix stole my ring, and is apparently trying to convince y/n that he is me.

She's not buying it though, so he's trying to force it. I'm almost there, when I hit a rock and crash.

When I look up, Felix is shoving y/n, who is against the rail, and she slips over.

"NO!!" I yell as I get up and run faster than I ever have before.

You felt yourself slipping, falling the two floors to the ground below.

Bracing for impact, you hope for survival.

But the expected impact never comes.

Instead, a strong pair of arms, catching you before the cement can.

"Y/n? Y/n, please! Please tell me you're ok!" A voice pleads, making you regain control of your tightly clenched body, and open your eyes to find teary green ones staring down at you.

"Oh thank goodness!" Your saver says as he hugs you to himself tightly.

"Can you stand? Are you hurt?" He asks, pulling away, and only then can you actually tell who it is.

The real Cat Noir, or in this case, Adrien Agreste.

"Adrien, where... how?"

"I realized Felix stole my ring and came as fast as I could! I'm so glad I got here in time!"

"Me too." You say, laughing a bit.

"Shh, don't strain yourself now." He reprimands, making you smile.

"Adrien?" You ask.

"Yeah?"

"You can put me down now." You say with a giggle.

"No way, I'm not letting you go until I'm pawsitive you're alright."

You laugh at his pun, and lean up and give him a peck on the lips.

He blushes, and stands from being on his knees, which he must've sunk down onto when he caught you.

"Now, to pound my rotten cousin." He says through gritted teeth.

"Don't kill him."

"I'll do my best." He says with dry laughter.

He glares up at Felix, who has been watching the whole scene unfold in silence.

Now he looks away, assumably in shame, as he did just push you off a building.

"Felix, get your rotten self down here!" Adrien shouts up at him

"Shh, my parents!" You remind him.

"Oh right, sorry."

"Felix!" Adrien says, quieter this time, but Felix still hears.

He extends the pole and slides down it, before coming to a stop once hitting the ground.

"Hey, cuz." He says, obviously trying to smooth things over.

"Don't you cuz me. You could've KILLED y/n!" Adrien whisper yells, still holding tightly onto you.

"But I didn't, thanks to you! Nice catch!" He says.

Adrien looks as if he's about to slap him.

He gently sets you on your feet, giving you a little smile, before turning his glare back to his cousin.

"Felix, I am this close to knocking your lights out." He says, holding up his index finger and thumb, with not even a millimeter between them.

Felix quickly loses his awkward, trying to make things better smile.

"If you ever, and I mean EVER come anywhere near y/n again, I will beat you."

You gotta admit, he looks pretty hot when he's threatening.

"The only reason I haven't hit you now, is if I start, I might not stop." Adrien continues, clenching his fists.

"Uh-um, ok. I'm sorry." Felix mutters.

"What was that?" Adrien asks.

"I'm sorry!"

"And?"

"And I'll never come around y/n again." He says, turning to walk away.

"Felix!" You call to him.

"Yeah?" He asks as he turns around, looking hopeful.

"The ring?"

"Oh. Right. Sorry for taking it."

He takes it off and tosses it to Adrien, who quickly puts it back where it belongs.

Plagg appears, and you can tell he wants to rip into Felix.

He flies up to him and slaps him so hard there's a little red spot on his cheek.

"Jeez! What are you?!"

"Your worst nightmare!" Plagg glares at him, slaps him again, and flies over to you and Adrien.

"Y/n, are you ok?" He asks.

"Yeah, little buddy. I'm alright." You reassure him, rubbing between his ears with one finger.

"Although I'm not sure Felix will be." You say and point to where he's stalking off, holding his face.

"Good. That'll teach him."Plagg says, with Adrien nodding along.

"I don't know how we'll deal with him living in our house." Adrien says to Plagg.

"We can just stay in your room, there's plenty of cheese there!" Plagg suggests.

"No thanks. I'll need something other than cheese."

"Why? It's the perfect food source."

"Yeah, Adrien. It's purrfect." You say and laugh.

"Ha ha, very funny. I'd like to see you survive off nothing but cheese for a while. You'd go crazy."

"You sure I'm not already there?"

"Close, but not all the way."

"Don't worry, you'll put me there soon."

"I'll be glad to have such good company!"

You both laugh at your little playful fight, when Plagg breaks in.

"So either of you have cheese? Thanks to your lunatic cousin I'm starving!"

"Sorry, Plagg. I didn't have time to get any." Adrien apologizes.

Plagg groans, and asks if you have any.

"Yes, but you'll have to work for it."

"How?" He asks, looking skeptical.

"I can't get in my house from here, so Adrien will have to transform to get us up there."

"Ugh, fine. For the cheese. Come on kid, hurry up."

Adrien laughs, and transforms.

He takes you by the waist, pulling you close.

Taking out his staff, he extends it up to the balcony.

When you land with him, instead of letting go he puts both arms around you, hugging tightly.

You return it, and he whispers in your ear.

"I thought I was going to lose you..."

"You won't be getting rid of me that easily!" You joke slightly.

He laughs, but turns serious.

"Y/n, I am SO sorry. This is all my fault, I should been more careful around Felix, and I fell asleep earlier, when he stole my ring, I just wish I could've gotten here sooner."

"Kitty, it's ok. You got here in time, and that's all that matters." You say, trying to make him feel better.

"I still feel terrible for letting him do that."

"You didn't let him do anything, he did it to you unknowingly. There wasn't anything you could've done!"

"But maybe there was!"

"Adrien. You were asleep, you couldn't have stopped him."

"I should've woken up..."

"Dude. Stop feeling bad about it, because you still ended up coming.  That's what matters! Now, you better detransform or you really will be feeling bad."

"Oh yeah, claws in!"

"UGHHHH, where's that cheese? I can barely move!" Plagg groans as he floats over to your chair.

"Let me go get that, I'll be right back!" You say and sneak into your room and downstairs.

Finding some cheese in the fridge, you quickly grab it and go back.

Before fully getting to the table Plagg quickly jumps on you and downs the cheese.

"Oh thank you!" He says between bites.

"You are most welcome." You say with a laugh.

Looking over at Adrien, you see he's watching with a soft smile, so you go over.

"What're you looking so happy about?" You ask.

"I'm just glad he likes you so much."

"Me too."

He wraps an arm around your waist and pulls you to him, resting his head atop yours, and you relish in the feeling of happiness.
