Your mother was almost finished with dinner when you'd started helping, so it didn't take long to get everything ready, and then eaten.

Then your parents decided to go out to the store, and s/n went with them, leaving you alone.

And for once it worries you, since Adrien had just been giving you a warning.

You decide to just hide out and draw in your room until they get home.

But that plan is stopped short when you hear a knocking at your balcony.

You get up and walk over to the door and peek out.

You're able to see that it's Cat, so you open the door.

"Hey! Back so soon?"

"Y/n, I need you to come with me."

"What, why? Where are we going?" You ask in confusion.

He'd just been wanting you to stay inside, now he's ready for a night out on the town?

"It's a... secret! Let's go!" He says and grabs your arm, then starts pulling you along.

"Uhh, ok?" You say, starting to follow him, and shutting your balcony door behind you.

He almost jumps off just holding your arm, but you quickly stop him.

"Don't you think that will hurt?"

"Right, sorry." He says then puts an arm around your waist, looking uncomfortable.

"Uh Cat? Are you alright? You're acting kinda funny."

"Oh no, I'm pawsitively fine!" He puns.

That makes you feel a little better, but you're still suspicious.

"So you're not telling me where we're headed?" You ask.

"Nope."

"Is it a date spot?"

He makes a really weird, discomforted face at this, but nods all the same.

"Are you sure there's nothing wrong?"

"Yep."

By now the Eiffel Tower is close enough that you can see there's nobody on it, which makes you curious.

"Did you get the Eiffel emptied for us?"

"Uh, yeah, sure did!"

"Wow! How did you do that?" You ask as he sets you down, since you've reached the Tower.

"I scared them all away." He says with a very uncharacteristic and creepy smile.

"What do you mean..." You start, but then trail off as his appearance starts changing, and the face you've gotten so used to, the one that always makes you smile starts to melt away, and turns into one you'd hoped to never see again.

Even though you had been warned, you weren't prepared to see it.

A face which causes you to let out a scream.

Adrien's POV

After leaving y/n's I start to Master Fu's, then realize that I'm late for fencing class.

So I run all the way there, hide to detransform, and once I go in and get the few things I had put away, plus changed, I find Felix and Kagami chatting it up.

Every time we have practice they're together, I guess they've really hit it off.

Good for them.

We practice for around two hours or so, then I talk to Felix and Kagami a while.

Though the nagging worry of things to come lingers in my mind.

So when I finally get back to my locker to get my things, I'm about ready to fly to Master Fu's place and get y/n a miraculous.

Plagg zips out as soon as I open the door, complaining that my phone has been ringing off the hook for half the time I've been gone.

"Who's been calling?" I ask as I take it out.

"I don't know, but it's really been interrupting my sleep!"

I turn it on and find missed calls from Master Fu and Marinette.

Then my ring starts flashing, and I know something serious must be going on.

"Oh no no no, what if something's happened to y/n?!" I worry aloud to Plagg.

"I don't know, why don't you answer it!" He suggests.

And since it's started ringing again, I do.

"Adrien! Finally! Why have you not answered?!" Master Fu asks.

"I've been fencing, what's going on?!" I say, wondering if I sound as worried as I think I do.

I start changing back to my regular clothes and quickly gathering my things as I listen.

"Something horrible has happened! Wayzz and I went out to the grocery store for just a moment and when I came back, the miracle box was missing! So now every miraculous except our three have gone!"

"Ok this is really really bad, what are we gonna do?!"

"Well Ladybug and I have already decided to let Carapace use the turtle to help, so she took him that, and now we must search for any activity!"

"Got it. I'll transform and be on the lookout as well!"

"Hurry! We may be able to prevent the disasters of your dreams!"

"I sure hope so." I say and hang up, then I transform, get out of the building and head to the rooftops.

There's probably a few things I should do, such as try and track any miraculouses that may be active, but I figure Ladybug has already done that, so I instead race to y/n's house.

I don't know what is going on, but I have to make sure she's safe.

After what feels like hours, but is probably just a couple minutes, I land on her balcony.

There doesn't seem to be any signs of a struggle, so that's definitely good.

Raising my knuckles to the door, I knock, while also sniffing the air.

I can't smell anything unusual, so hopefully nothing has happened.

There's been no answer to my first knock, so I do it again, a little louder.

I wonder if her parents are home?

Still, nobody comes to the door, so I go down to the front of the house.

Maybe there was just nobody upstairs?

Hopefully.

I knock a few times on the doors down there, yet there's still no reply, and the house is dead silent.

Since I don't really want anybody to see me, I jump back to the balcony and knock just one more time.

Nothing.

Since my ring is still beeping, I take out my staff to see what's going on there.

A message from Ladybug.

I listen to it, and it's basically the same thing that Master Fu told me.

As the message is closing, another call lights up the screen.

I answer it, even though I don't recognize the number.

"Hello, is this Cat Noir?"

"Yes, it is."

"This is Warden Masiths, from the prison where Gabriel Agreste is being held. You left me this number to call in emergencies?"

"Right. What's going on?"

"Well, I'm pretty sure this would classify as an emergency. The aforementioned prisoner has escaped."

I can almost feel my insides crumbling.

"How long has it been?!"

"It's unclear, there were a lot of things going on."

I'm about to reply when my super hearing picks up on a sound that shakes me to the core.

A very loud scream, that I instantly recognize.

Because it's a scream from y/n.
