A Ba na na na!
When Adrien arrived at his usual time during the night, you went and unlocked the door.
"Hey, this time you were locked out!" You joke.
"I'm glad I didn't have to pick the lock again, I could break a claw!" He says, looking at his hands as if they'd just been manicured.
"And what a shame that would be!" You laugh.
"Right?" He says, before detransforming.
"Hey Plagg,"" You say tentatively.
"Hey." He replies, taking his cheese and flying over to his pillow.
You want to ask about him and Shadow, who is in his own bed for once, but you don't know if he's in a good mood or not.
You glance at Adrien to see what he thinks.
He just shrugs, so not much help.
Either way, when you look back at Plagg, he's already asleep.
"Have you talked to Fu again? Is he for sure gonna take him?" You ask quietly.
"I haven't talked to him, but probably. My mom found out."
"What?!"
"Yeah, she came into my room when I was getting home."
"Oh no, I'm sorry! I shouldn't have kept making you stay."
"It's not your fault, I woke up a bunch of times and could have left, but I just didn't."
"Yeah, but the last time I kept telling you to stay."
"You didn't need to tell me, I wanted to! Really, it's not your fault."
"If you say so." You respond, still feeling guilty.
"So was she wondering why Kitty was there instead of Banana?" You ask, trying to lighten the mood a little.
More for Adrien than yourself, you know you'll still feel bad.
"Yea-Banana?!" He says, looking at you in confusion.
You burst out laughing, somber feelings forgotten, for the moment.
You try to be quiet, but fail.
When you calm down enough to explain, you say, "Yeah! I told Shadow if we put bananas on his head, he would look just like you! So you're a banana!"
"I'm not a banana! Although, that could be why the monkeys went bananas when I walked by at the zoo..."
"Really!?" You ask, trying to contain your giggles.
"Yeah, I was walking past and they went nuts! But I assume it's because the zookeeper was coming in with their food."
"Oh. Well that's not as fun."
"Sorry to disappoint."
"Bananas aside, did she make you tell her?" You ask, wondering how the conversation could go from his mother finding out huge secrets, to bananas and monkeys.
"She already knew!"
"How?!"
"I don't know! First she acted like she didn't, but then she just says she's known for a while!"
"Did she say when she figured it out?"
"No! But she also knew about us?"
"Maybe that's why she waved at me!"
"When?"
"Uhhh, we were talking outside your school while I was on a walk with Shadow, then you left and she waved at me when I went past the car."
"Oh. That hasn't been too long, she might've known. She never gave me any more details, she was just like, 'I know your biggest secrets, now come down for pancakes!' which I did, and she never said anything else about it!"
"Jeez! She knows everything!"
"Right? Also, now that everything is out, she wants you to come over for dinner."
"Ooh, some of these pancakes I keep hearing about?"
"Maybe!"
"I'm down. When do you think would be a good time?"
"If we leave it up to Mom, tomorrow. So you just let her know when you're free."
"I don't really have anything going on, so basically whenever."
"If I tell her that in the morning, she's probably going to say she'll have everything ready by the time I'm out of school."
"That's fine with me. Should I bring you a flower like you brought me?"
"I'm not going to turn it down." He chuckles.
"So it shall be. You can just text me if she really says that."
"She will."
"What should I call her? Mrs. Agreste? First name wouldn't be good, right?"
"Nino called her Dudette. Don't worry about it."
"Good to know."
"Yeah. She's pretty chill with anything."
"Oh good. Still, hopefully I can keep myself from saying anything super sarcastic. Wait, will Felix be there? Cause I can make no promises that I won't smack him."
He laughs and says, "I don't know. They might go out, or just stay away."
"Huh. Well as long as the fancy seating arrangements don't put me next to him, it should be fine."
"I will make sure they don't." He giggles.
"Wonderful." You say, then glance over at Plagg.
"Has she met him?"
"Not yet. But at least now I can explain why I buy so much cheese. If I can continue to do so, anyway."
"Yeah. How about cookies, do you buy those?"
"A lot more than I used to."
"Oh, if you have some you probably don't want any of these, right?" You ask, going to your desk and getting the ones you'd brought.
"Of course I do! I never say no to cookies!"
"I figured you wouldn't. I saved these before s/n could eat them all earlier. They were for our sundaes, but s/n wanted them after and I have seen how too much sugar can affect that kid, and it is not pretty. So I took them!"
"You're so sneaky." He laughs and winks at you, reaching for a cookie.
"Maybe I should take some lessons." He mutters.
"Be quieter when you transform. One time, I swear I heard you from across the city."
"No way."
"Yes way! It was either you, or someone else who sounds like you and says 'Claws out' all the time!"
"Maybe you just have good hearing."
"Right. And you're not a banana."
"I'm not! So there!"
"Tell that to the monkeys."
"The monkeys don't know what they're talking about!"
"Mmmhmmm. No more cookies until you admit it!"
"You're evil."
"Aw, but I thought I was an angel?"
"You are, but you're a mean one."
"Sureee."
He quickly steals a cookie and eats it.
"Hey! No more for you!"
"And why not?"
"Cause you're bad news."
"Am not!"
"Are too!"
"Am not!"
"Are too!"
"Am n-"
You cut him off by pressing your lips to his.
"Maybe you're not."
"Told ya."
