Ocean

Once we got home after the traumatizing experience, I noticed that it was almost six pm. I headed straight for the kitchen to start preparing dinner for the six of us.
I wasn't sure at first what I should make so I took a look around the cabinets trying to fine ingredients that would spark the flame of curiosity.
I took note of the full box's of tortilla shells. I also saw we had a half full one. Pulling them out, I started preheating the oven.
I went to the fridge, pulling out some ground beef. Pulling out I large pan, I threw the meat on the counter. I then pulled out a pepper and an onion that I began slicing.
Putting the cut-up veggies in the pan I let the cook for a couple minutes as I found cheese, lettuce, and tomato. Once I had I threw the meat into the pan. Stirring it, watched it cook for a little while. I got out the taco spices and mixed them in. Once the meat was done, I placed the food on the table and went into the living room to how people.
I found myself sitting net to Hayden at the table. I ate one taco while everyone else ate at least three.
Once everyone was done, Hayden offered to help with the dishes, but I declined. Even though I said no, he still helped me.
We went back into the living room, trying not to collide with the running Jayden. Nick held a pillow about his head and let out a battle cry.
Hayden pulled a pillow off the couch and hounded the boy in their pillow fight. The girls joined not long after. I did my bet to stay out of it, but Jayden still hit me in the head. Hayden went crazy when he saw this. After the little pillow fight, we all sat down to play a game. They decided to play a game of truth or dare. I, of course, had no idea how to play so I just watched for the first two rounds.
Hayden had placed an empty pop bottle in the middle of the circle and people took turns spinning it and asking truth or dare.
Suddenly the bottle landed on me. I gripped my little notebook tightly in my hands.
"Ocean, truth or dare?" Vira's smirk made me very uncomfortable.
I held up two fingers meaning dare.
"Great! I dare you.... to sit on Hayden's lap!" She squealed at the thought.
I got up reluctantly and sat down on the floor between Hayden's crossed legs. He wrapped an arm around me, pulling me into his chest.

A tingle ran down my back as his heat engulfed my. I hadn't even noticed that I was cold.

I had the feeling these girls were out to get me and Hayden.

I was right.

"Hayden, truth or dare?"

"Dare."

"Perfect." Nicola grinned. "I dare you to make out with..."

I squeezed my eyes shut waiting for my name.

"Jayden."

Vira and Nick both burst out laughing and I peeked my eyes open to see Jayden pale at the thought.

"I'm kidding, I'm kidding." Nicola cried between laughs. "Make out with your girl dude."

Hayden glanced down at me, and I swallowed hard.

he gently pressed his lips to mine, the kiss was soft and sweet, not much emotion and he didn't get handsy like I guess Nicola had hopped.

a couple turns later Vira asked me a question. this time I chose truth.

"So, tell us, it Hayden good in bed?"

I blinked slowly. I shrugged my shoulders.

"So, he's meh?"

I shrugged my shoulders again.

"She can't answer that."

"What do you mean?"

"We uh never..." Hayden stuttered.

"Wait wait wait." Jayden smirked

"You're telling me, you a high school player, heart throb and bad boy have yet to take your fiancée to bed?"

"I'm not that person anymore, ok?"

"Damn girl you really changed him." Vira winked at me. my ears felt hot at her comment, before remembering that I hadn't. it wasn't his choice

the game got boring quite quickly after that and we switched gears.

"So, this game is called Warning Labels." I had a strong feeling this was being made up on the spot. "You uhhhh." Nicola paused.

"Spin the bottle." Vira suggested pointing at the empty coke bottle on the floor.

"Yes, and then the person it lands on has to say a warning label they wish you came with."

"I'll start Jayden volunteered as he grabbed the bottle.

After a little while, Nicola regretted introducing the game to us and suggested we watch a movie.
I went to pop popcorn as Hayden and the other argued about what movie we were going to watch. After popping lots of popcorn, I split it into four bowls. Bringing it back into the living room I handed it to Jayden nick Nicola and Hayden. To my great surprise, Hayden pulled me down next to him on the couch. He wrapped his arm tightly around me and I found myself resting my head against his chest. It's a safe bet that I remember none of the movie.

I woke to the warm pillow that I was on shifting. I struggled to get away as someone tried to pick me up. My eyes flew open even though I was exhausted. I looked up to see two bright green orbs hovering over me.
I suddenly realized it as Hayden. I found myself trying to get up, but Hayden grabbed me.
"Let me?" He asked rather them said.
I nodded as I could barely keep my eyes open.
I could feel Hayden lift me off the couch and just for safety I put my arm around his neck.
We amended the stairs and Hayden opened the door to his bedroom. Once we were inside, he closed the door. He placed me down and whispered, "get changed."
I nodded stumbling to the chair that had my clothing on it. Once I had them, I went into the bathroom and got changed. I exited seeing that Hayden was waiting.
Once he was in the bathroom I laid down on the couch. Pulling the blankets off the back, I curled up and tried to fade into sleep. The bathroom door opened, and I heard Hayden sigh.
He walked over to me and lifted me off the couch and placed me on the bed instead.
I really wanted to protest, but I had no energy.
I heard Haden lay down on the couch.
Closing my eyes I tried for sleep again. This time I saw horrifying images in my head. I lay there re-encountering the incident today.
Sitting up horrified, I realized what I needed. Quietly getting out of bed I walked over to Hayden. I knew there were tears running down my face, but I didn't care. Hayden sat up fore I had even made my presence known. apparently, he was still awake.
"Ocean..." he trailed off. "Come on, lets get you to bed." he stood up, placing his hand on my back. I was forced to walk with him. He made me lay down in the bed before pulling the covers up over me. He turned to go, and I don't know what came over me but, I grabbed his arm. "Hayden..." I felt the tears pour.
"Oh angel," Hayden's voice was soft, comforting.
He sat down on the bed next to me, before pulling me up into his arms.
"I'm not going anywhere." Hayden said and I nodded hoping he would understand.
"You want me to stay?" He asked me.
I nodded hoping he would. Instead, he stood up and a knew fear bubbled. Suddenly the bed dipped again, and I found myself being pulled against a strong chest. The blanket was pulled over us by one hand, while the other wrapped itself around my back.
I found myself laying curled into Hayden's chest while laying on my side. I felt his at around me and for the first time in a long time I felt safe. Letting my eyes droop, I fell into a dreamless sleep, letting myself listen to Hayden's steady heartbeat.
