Our Story?

Ocean

I was whisked away as soon I set foot on the floor.
An older lady brought me into a salon-like room. It had a large chair that she forced me to sit in, getting to work right away. After a great amount of time, she finished with my hair, and for the first time when I glanced into the mirror, I wasn't hideous.
The older lady then told me to get up, and she led me to a dressing room. Once inside, she searched the shelves before pulling out a white dress and telling me to put it on. When at first, I refused, she smiled kindly but spoke. "As beautiful as the dress you have is, it got a rip on the shoulder." When I glanced at it, I saw she was right.
"I must apologize, I am pretty sure that was my fault."
I smiled at the older woman, trying to show it was alright.
"But dear, you must try this on quick, you'll be onstage soon."
I nodded slipping into the change room. Sliding the green dress off my body I slid the white one up my legs, before realizing I couldn't zip the back up all the way.
I held the dress closed and peeked out of the room.
the older woman was facing me while speaking to another woman.
"She'll be out once I zip up her dress." The older lady walked towards me still deep in conversation.
Thankfully her eyes were on the younger woman when zipping up my dress or that could have been a catastrophe.
She handed me a pair of shoes before ushering me out to the viewing booth. I strapped them to my feet just as I heard someone say my name.
"That's your cue, dear." The kind old lady smiled encouragingly as I straightened, stepping out into the stage.
I felt my nerves skyrocket as I felt to cameras on me and Hayden's eyes were trained on me as well. I glanced at him making eye contact and noticing his look. It's something I'd only seen once before.
Nah, I must be going crazy I smiled as I sat next to Hayden. He said something to me, but I didn't hear it. The lady started speaking and once I relaxed enough to listen. I heard her ask, "So, will you be sharing the story of how you met?"
Hayden's arm was around me and it tightened as I played with the expensive looking diamond ring that sat on my finger.
Hayden had given it to me yesterday. It was my engagement ring and I found it was a little extra.
Hayden cleared his throat. "Well, we first met at one of her father's parties. Just over a year ago." Hayden said simply.
"Give us the details." Linda smirked.
"Well, I was at one of the David's parties and I had to use the bathroom. I accidentally walked into the wrong room and I saw Ocean there. It was the huge library that Mr. David has in his house and she was sitting in there, reading a book. She looked like an angel, wrapped up in her blanket. I ended up asking her for directions and she showed me where I needed to be. I found myself going back to the library because I wasn't in the mood to socialize with all the people there. I found her still in there and we started chatting and, in the end, we exchanged numbers and it all blossomed from there."
Suddenly a memory surfaced. It was of the exact party Hayden was talking about. I had been in the room that had most of the book in our house. I had been curled up reading when someone had opened the door. I had no idea who it was, but now I knew.
It had been Hayden who walked in on me at that party. I had been terrified at that moment but now I realized it could have meant something. I was again shaken from my thoughts when Linda asked, "and is that the engagement ring I spot?"
I nodded suddenly very nervous and I could almost feel the eyes of every person in the world on me. The thought only made me freak out. Trying to surpass my panic, I held up my hand and Linda took a good look at it.
"My goodness it's beautiful."
"It's great that you could join us today to reveal such special information but there is still one question. If it is true what you said and you two have been dating for over a year, how have you managed to keep it a secret?"
"Well, seeing as Ocean is a very reserved person, it kind of showed me that not everything should be public. We only really when to places where people wouldn't see us. In public we would act like we didn't know each other. It was truly heartbreaking for me, but I could understand that dating a well-known person can be difficult. I did as she wished and, in reality, it made her happy and that's all that mattered."
Hayden's voice became very soft at the end. He looked down at me with the same look I saw earlier.
The kindness in his eyes almost had me but I knew to think otherwise.
"Thank you both, and many wishes for a great love in the future." Linda dismissed us. Walking back to directors' room, the older lady that had helped me came and gave me a big hug. I was very surprised and ducked away from the gesture.
Hayden, who had been following my, placed his hand on my back to steady me.
The older lady saw this and clapped her hands.
"We had best get going." Hayden said to me. I nodded following him back to the elevator. The older woman followed us to apologize to Hayden about the dress. Hayden waved off the comment with a simple, "you made her a princess anyway."
Hearing this the woman smiled to herself before rushing to her place.
I followed Hayden back to his car, where many different cars where now parked.
I could feel myself starting to freak out and I tried to hide myself. Hayden grabbed me, putting both arms around me and fighting his way back to the car. Once we were inside, he locked the doors and windows and started to back out of his spot.
We made it home with a bit of trouble and there were many different presses outside the house.
We fought our way though into the house, locking all the doors and windows. Hayden glanced at me. I felt horrible. I shook with fear and I could feel the panic rising in my throat. The air around me seemed stale and, next thing I knew, there was darkness.
