IT was winter time, and that's when everyone hustles about the town of Seoul to get Christmas decorations, presents, and food. People spend hundreds of dollars on everything everyday, and go home to there families to celebrate. People travel across country just to see relatives, and stay at places as they celebrate. The months are filled with smiles, laughs, jokes and hugs.

Lee Taeyong was no different, except he never got to spend time with his family. His parents never wanted to see him again, and no relatives he knew of wanted him coming close. It was the same every year ever since he left to pursue his dreams. He didn't mind though, as he spent Christmas with the one he loved most.

So here he was, walking the icy streets of Seoul as snow falls gently. Holding hands with the one he loved most.

"Daddy! Daddy! Look there! It's a Christmas tree!" A small child grabs at Taeyongs hands with his small ones, looking at the large Christmas tree on display across the street.

"Yes Jisung it is, come along now." Taeyong says with a small smile, leading his child past the Christmas tree into a small corner store.

Taeyong was a single parent, left with a child at as his boyfriend left him. It was expected, but when it came he wasn't ready. Those past years were tough, as Jisung was only a toddler, yet he witnessed so much. Taeyong never wanted a life like he gave Jisung, and when his boyfriend left he gave into temptation and started drinking. He stopped though as Jisung grew older, getting a job as the boy turned 5. He tries his very best now to keep him and his son above water, just above the surface.

They enter the store, and Jisung immediately goes to the present section. Taeyong lets him, and goes over to the food isle. There, he looks at all the meat on display.

'So expensive.' Taeyong thinks as he looks at the prices.

He decides to get a turkey, and walks over to where Jisung is. Stopping in his tracks as he watches his son play with a toy train. Jisung takes notice of Taeyong, and looks over with a smile.

"Daddy look!" Jisung says with a smile, and holds the toy train in the air.

"I see it. Lets get going love." Taeyong whispers.

"Ok daddy." Jisung says, putting the train away.

Going up to counter, Taeyong takes out his money. It's very few in his hand, and he quickly counts to make sure he has enough.

"Daddy, can I?" Taeyong looks down, seeing a piece of candy in his sons hand.

Taeyong looks at the money he has, and presses his lips in a straight line.

"Not today doll." Taeyong whispers, pinching the child's cheek softly.

"Do you think Santa will buy it for me?" Jisung asks softly.

Taeyong looks down again, this time into his sons large eyes. He then displays a sad smile.

"Of course love." Taeyong lies.

"Yay!" Jisung says, and Taeyong takes the bag with the turkey.

Walking out of the store, he takes Jisungs hand in his. He feels guilty for lying to Jisung, he just spent the last of his money on food for Christmas. He couldn't even buy his son a present, not even a candy bar.

'Failure.' Taeyongs mind whispers to him.

"Excuse me." A voice interrupts his walking, and he looks behind him to see a tall male holding something. Taeyongs eyes widen as he sees it. "I think you forgot this."

The man was holding the candy bar, but Taeyong wasn't focused on that. The man in front of them had on business clothing, and his hair was styled. He's never seen someone look so handsome in the freezing cold.

"I-I didn't pay for it." Taeyong stutters.

"I know, I did." The man says, and puts on a smile. Taeyong didn't miss the dimples that popped up, and felt his heart flutter.

Angling the candy down, Jisung eagerly takes it with a smile. Taeyong frowns upon this and gives Jisungs hand a squeeze.

"What do you say Jisung?" Taeyong asks.

"Oh— thank you!" Jisung says shyly.

Taeyong then looks up at the stranger, and feels guilty.

"How can I repay you?" Taeyong asks.

"Cup of coffee?" Taeyong his taken back by the question, and looks at the male. The male simply gives a light laugh, and reaches out his hand.

"Jung Jaehyun." He says firmly.

"Lee Taeyong." Taeyong whispers, taking the mans hand. His hand was much smaller compared to the others, and he feels a slight squeeze before they pull away.

Jaehyun reaches in his back pocket, grabbing a piece of paper and pen. Writing on the paper, he hands it over to Taeyong. Taeyong takes it hesitantly, and reads it.

"What's this?" Taeyong asks slowly.

"My number. Also the time we meet up tomorrow." Jaehyun says, and Taeyong looks up in surprise.

"But I—"

The males phone suddenly rings, and he digs it out of his pocket.

"Excuse me. I have to take this." Jaehyun says, and looks at Taeyong. "I'll see you tomorrow." He says with a smile.

The male walks away, talking on the phone as he walks quickly. Taeyong is frozen dead on his spot, holding the piece of paper in his hands. He's still functioning what just happened.

"Daddy?" He snaps out of it, feeling a tug on his coat.

He blinks a few times, looking down at Jisung.

"Are you okay?" Jisung asks.

"Yea, I'm okay baby. Lets get home." Taeyong says, and grasps his sons hand as he leads them home.

After Jisung was fast asleep, Taeyong lays in bed as he reads the piece of paper that Jaehyun gave him.

Taeyong stares at it, deciding if he should go or not. It was risky, getting into another meet up with a man that he just met. After what happened in his last relationship, he hesitated about everything. Taeyong makes up his mind, and decides to go.

He needed to get over his past anyway, and needed to forget the scars it left behind. Of course the ones on his body wouldn't, but the ones in his mind would. He deeply inhales, putting the piece of paper on his side table.

Lying down in his bed, he turns off the light. Staring into nothing, he thinks about the man. The dimples, the honey sweet voice, the connection that he felt shaking his hand. It all seemed to right, that Taeyong actually thought it was wrong.

Taeyong shakes his head, shoving his face in a pillow. Giving a sigh, he closes his eyes.

'You don't know what the future holds tomorrow, so just sleep now.' He thinks, and in his mind he calms himself.

Counting sheep until he enters the gate of dreamland.
