Hanji and Erwin visited Levi's residence since the ravenette had gotten home.
They recieved a call from his butler, Pixis, letting them know how Levi was failing to cope up with the situation.
The three knew how much you meant to him.
Luckily, B/N was on training week. Meaning that he won't come back until next week while your Grandmother went back to her hometown and would be back until the next three days.
Your family weren't informed yet and Levi intend to keep it that way until he successfully bring you back.. alive that is.
"I'm grateful to have you both visit Master Levi, he... is mentally unstable at the moment.." Pixis sighed.
"We understand Pixis, Y/N is the only person that could bring Shorty's sanity back."
"I'll be back you two, I'll check on Levi." Erwin offered.
"Ah, Master Levi may have locked himself in his room. In case that may happen, do bring his room key."
Pixis handed him the room's key before the blonde man headed to the ravenette's room.
Knocking on the door, he was greeted with silence, unsuprisingly.
"Levi, it's Erwin. Open the door."
Silence was what greeted him again, making the man furrow his thick eyebrows before he turned the knob to find it lock.
Unlocking it with the key, the door creaked open.
Slowly widening the gap, his eyes widened slightly.
Levi's room was dark and objects were scattered. Especially photos.
Erwin came suddenly upon the ravenette sitting in an attitude of profound distress beneath a projecting mass of rock. The hands of this man hung limply over his knees, his eyes were red and staring before him, and his face was wet with tears.
By the corner was Levi whose knees were pressed against his chest, his arms hugging them.
"Fuck off."
"No." He retorted rather simply. "You're not thinking straight Levi."
Levi groaned, rubbing his face in distress.
"I-I need... I need her Erwin. I don't know how she's doing right now--.. She's not safe, she's hurt, she's in pain and she doesn't even... she doesn't even deserve it..." His voice cracked.
Erwin's expression fell even deeper into grief for you and his long-term companion.
For years have he not seen this side of Levi.
Today was the day he witnessed the ever so poker faced man be vulnerable.
And it was because of a girl whose name goes by Y/N.
Erwin crouched down with one of his knee knelt, locking his sight on him.
"Levi, if anything, I know that Y/N is counting on you. She's scared, yes, but she trusts you.. she's waiting for you Levi. So the only thing you could do right now is to get yourself together because at the moment, it must've been hard for Y/N to keep up her act."
Levi's gaze softened, looking down to graze at your handkerchief.
"Do you miss her? Need her?"
His fists clenched before looking back at the blondie. "I do." His says with an ever so stern and serious voice.

1 AM
---
Levi arrived at the designated location given by Zeke with a two suitcases filled with money.
He wasn't alone though. Hanji, Erwin and other of his men were hidden secretly and in an extremely good camofaluge.
Levi's thoughts were clouded with you and Zeke who he despised at the very most.
He was determined to get you back alive and safe.
The man just couldn't wait to wrap his arms around you, proectively securing you away from harm.
Because as soon as he'd get his hands on you, he'd make sure to take absolute care of you much more.
Soon enough, his chain of thoughts were cut off by a vehicle engine.
It was a black van and it seemed as if it wasn't taken care of, there was no plate either.
The door slid open to reveal Reiner, Annie and Zeke.
Levi's eyebrows met before furiously sending sharp death glares at the three.
It took almost all of his will not to launch and kill the three right at that moment.
Considering that his top priority was you. That you'd be safe an that he'd get you back again in his arms.
Because truthfully, he could take all the time in the world to beat the shit out of the three, especially Zeke, but you were clearly more important.
"Levi-"
"Cut the bullshit Zeke where is she." Levi growled harshly, impolitely interrupting the older man. But he couldn't care less unsuprisigly.
The bastard's eyes furrowed as well.
"Somewhere around the area... I couldn't measly trust you y'know? What if we'd be outnumbered by men. But don't worry, I'm a man of my words, and I wish that you are as well."
Levi clicked his tongue. "Man of my words my ass."
Zeke chuckled. "It's still unbelievable how you're seriously head over heels with the woman Levi."
"None of your business." He spat.
"What got your panties in a twist? Don't worry, you'll get her back again. Anyways, where's the money?"
Levi threw one suitcase first.
Zeke opened the suitacase before fondly grazing the stack of bills.
"Each suitcase is 5 million. I won't give the other if you won't give me my Y/N."
Zeke amusingly looked at him before sighing.
"Alright. Reiner be a man and go-"
His statement was cut off when he felt a hard grip by his shoulder.
He turned his head to his side to see Annie's hand on his shoulder gripping it intensely.
That was when she signed at him and Reiner.
Zeke's expression contorted into disgust and betrayal.
Levi looked at the three, breaking a sweat.
He was worried and nervous that they may have found out that he wasn't alone-
BANG!
Levi's eyes widened before barely dodging the bullet.
He gritted his teeth before glancing back at them who were already mounting back on their vehicle.
With a window opened, Zeke pointed at an abandoned building. "Lock your eyes on that." He says, venom dripping from his words.
One of Levi's eyebrows rose, pausing for a moment before the sudden realization had hit him.
You were in that building.
"Go, go, go, go!!" Reiner pressed his foot on the pedal before the vehicle ran off witha screech.
"OI!"
Three more vehicles and a helicopter took off with Levi's company name plastered on it.
Another vehicle stopped by Levi and on it was Erwin and Hanji.
"Levi! Get on-!"
"Y/N'S THERE-"
BOOM!
Their attention was torn away when an explosion blasted at the pointed abandoned building.
A plume of fire exploded into the blackness, the flame rolling outwards like the smoke of a mushroom cloud.
Levi's eyes widened as his legs threatened to fall. His breath was caught up in his throat, as his sight continued to lock on the nearby building cursing endless profanities in his head before letting out a loud yell, "Y/N!"
-
Limp extremities creaked and cracked under the pressure of your body.
You were scurely tied on a chair in an unknown building and in a dark room alone.
You cried out a muffled help due to a cloth bounded around her mouth, just for a sign someone was there, but the whimper was slowly lost in the thinning air.
Your voice was cracking and it held utter dryness.
However what made the situation much worser was when an explosion had hit the building making your eyes widen, breaths haggard and harsh.
The flash of explsoion was enough to near blind your and your body reacts like there's a gun on your head. Your muscles are frozen in place but filled with such tingling pressure.
You let out a scream as winds and waves of fit fire loomed the area before settling. Burns had started to appear around your bruised body.
Your hands trembled at your sides seeing fire started to quickly escalate around the building.
The harsh and hard pounding of your heart made you feel hopless.
It was fortunate of you to be alive admist the loud and disastrous explosion.
Flames engulfed the building, the radiant heat is intense, scorching your skin. It's more like a colossal campfire than anything else, casting its yellow glow into the night. The smell dominates your breath.
What you needed wasn't a teddy bear. You needed Levi to be there. You needed real comfort, strong arms and reassuring words.
The explosion had not only cause fire around you but to have the ceilings and walls break down.
The rope that had once been used to bound you burned down so you were able to break free from it and tore down the cloth by your mouth as well.
The ceiling from above had fell and crash on the only exit available seeing how there weren't any windows.
The waves of helplessness and anxiety that hit you have caught you unaware. The fire silently built up and gained momentum while you were recalling the string of heartbreaking events.
"Help, please!" You croaked, gasping in panic as the receding anxiety dragged you into the sea of abysmal darkness.
You flailed your arms around frantically, desperate for someone, something, or anything to cling on to. "Can't.. breathe.." Your tears spilling.
No, you can't. You had to hold them in, for him. You must maintain that brave facade that you have on for the past 23 years. You cried out again.
"Y/N!"
And unlike before, the voice you had badly missed and wanted to hear, rang through your ears.
-
'Shit! Shit! Shit! Shit!'
That was what clouded Levi's thoughts as he barged in the building soaked in water.
He held a bottle of water in his hand, so that he'd give it to you in case you were scorched.
Within the building, the fire spread with ease, turning the floors into a maze of flame.
The smoke billowed black across the room and the stairs, filling his lungs. The coughing was instant as were the tears that washed over his eyes.
"Y/N! Where are you?!" He yelled.
Despite the blazing heat that had started to scorch on his skin, nothing could compare his desperate need to hold you again.
The only thing that had motivated him was you.
He could just hope that you were still... alive..
'She's still alive.' He repeated reminded himself.
The blackness of his memories start to spread through his mind, clouding his thoughts and taking him back to places he never wanted to revisit.
Memories that had the worse moments in his mind. When his mother died.
It was the most terrifying memory that he had remembered and it was about to happen again.
He just wanted them to go away. Is that so much to ask?
You were no where to be seen and it diminished his hope little by little.
Just when he thought all hope is lost, he heard your voice calling for help. "Help! Please!"
It was like a ray of light in the darkness of his past, guiding him back to reality.
He ran and ran through the flights of stairs, kicking objects that were in his way.
Until he heard your faint voice again from the door just nearby him, "Can't.. breathe.."
His breath hitched before, kicking the door harshly repeatively.
"Y/N!"
And as soon as the door had finally opened, he saw you.
On the floor coughing endlessly. Bruises and burns around your body, your breathing uneven.
His heart skipped a beat before quickly running to you, pouring you water before letting you drink some to quench your thirst and to make you less scorched.
Then you felt him take your hands in his, pulling you into his arms like a child. Your screams die down, he tells you everything is alright that it is all just a distant memory.
"It's alright, it's alright... Shh, I'm here.."
You rest your head on his chest while he started to carry you leaving the burning building successfully.
And so,
He hugged you like you were the last thing in the world.
You hugged him back tiredly smiling, knowing that he is your world.
