"Hey, you okay dude?" You asked through your phone.

You and Levi were currently having a phone call right now while he was busy doing work.

You knew he's always stressed and busy with a hectic and a full schedule and yet he always try to find a way to spend time with you.

Since both of you were close, you knew when Levi would act weird, cold or silent of something is up or is bothering him.

And as his bestfriend, you couldn't help but worry since he's acting up again.

"It's ok Y/N, I'm just stressed with all the projects coming up. I'm done with paperwork and right now I'm taking a break after all that I've done." He responded by the line.

"So basically you're free?"

"For the a day I suppose.."

"That's great!" You happily responded.

"Hey Y/N.."

"Yeah?"

"Want to spend tomorrow with me?"

For some reason, a simple and an innocent question made your blood rush to your cheeks and feel your stomach doing weird flips.

As you feel your heartbeat quicken, you answered letting out your breath.

"S-sure! Why not? What time?"

"I want this to be a me and you alone time.. no Buddy. No guards. No drivers. Just me and you. Tomorrow at 1:00 in the afternoon, I'll fetch you at your house."

You squished your pillow to your face for a while hearing the 'just me and you' part of his sentence.

You weren't sure of how you feel but you felt butterflies in your stomach and that's totally normal. Right?

"What?" You asked again in a low soft voice. When he wanted to tag along with you, he wasn't usually like this.

You heard him sigh from the other line and said,

"I'm trying to ask you out on a date with me brat."

You bit your lip as you stopped your urge to squeal and fangirl over your stupid crush asking you out on a date.

Yes, you finally admitted that you fell for the hot, handsome, cold and arrogant CEO. But who couldn't help it?

"S-seriously?"

"Yeah.. I want to try do something new?.. Fuck.. just look nice and comfy tomorrow.."

"Sure! But why all of a sudden though? Doing something new is a reason but there should have been a better one than that though."

"I just lack this overwhelming feeling of care and affection that can be distributed when interacted by another person for the factor to make the other feel an unreasonable sensation. And you're the only one who can give me that feeling..." He rambled by the phone.

"What?" You asked again dumbfounded.

He sighed on the other line and responded, "I need you, idiot."

You made sure to wear a decent attire enough to slightly impress him as notifications began popping up on your screen making you smile.

You then brought your sling bag and put slight make-up on even though you knew you never liked putting cosmectics on.

But it was for him though.

You then texted him that you were ready.

After a minute or so, the sound of a car rung through your ears.

You immediately went outside to see an expensive looking car.

The car door opened to see Levi going out from his car looking extremely hot and handsome.

Your Grandmother woke up from the sound of it as she appeared by your side.

You smiled shyly at him while he returned it back.

Seeing your grandmother, Levi immediately approached the both of you while bowing to your Grandmother.

"Good afternoon Oba-sama." He greeted her.

"Good afternoon to you too young man! No wonder I saw my grand-daughter grinning so hard to her phone." Your grandmother answered so innocently.

"Grandma!!" You whined scrunching your nose flustered.

Levi chuckled so cute and hot at the same time making your heart go fast. (A/N: idk how but that's how I feel everytime my anime husbands does that to me ok)

Your grandma then continued, "She also kept on sqeauling upstairs and kept on squeezing the poor pillow."

This time, Levi laughed and turned to raise an eyebrow at you.

"Really?"

"Oh my gosh, shut up." You pouted your lips on frustration.

It took all of his guts to stop himself from blurting out how cute you looked.

"I'm sorry sweeties~ I won't intervene your date. Stay safe and enjoy ok?"

"Y-yes Grandma. Bye." You still smiled sweetly to her kissing her by the cheek.

"I'll look after her for the day Oji-sama." Levi respectfully bowed to your grandma.

After that, you both made your way to the car door which Levi opened for you at the passenger's seat while he took the driver's seat.

"So, you weren't kidding when you said 'alone time' huh." You smirked.

"I'm not a sucker for jokes and you know that."

"Yeah sure.. So, how did you arrive so fast? I mean I get it that your car's fast and all but still."

"I admit, I was waiting by the last street your text.."

"W-whoa, what?"

"I wanted to call you that I'm nearby but I didn't want to bother you. So I waited for your name to pop up in my screen."

"Levi, you should've called me y'know. Now I'm guilty that I took so long.."

The street lights went red so he turned by his side to steal a long glance from you.

"Levi?"

"Hm?"

"Do I have something on my face?"

Instead of answering, by the time the street lights went green, he quickly went and halted by a public restroom.

(A/N: Take note that restrooms in Japan are clean)

"C'mon let's go out for a minute. It'll be quick."

"What?" You asked insecured.

He grabbed open your car door and took your hand gently as you stepped out.

He then led you to the sink.

"Huh?"

"Go wash your face."

"Why though??"

"Brat."

"Meanie, fine."

You washed your face thinking that it was a waste of time putting make up on.

By the time you turned around, Levi took out a handkerchief (not yours) and wiped your face.

You turned away blushing like a tomato.

He moved his hands away from your face as he locked his eyes on you.

"I knew that you looked better without it on."

You widened your eyes in suprise feeling your abnormal heartbeat again.

"Y/N. You're better without make-up on. I like your face just the way it is. Ok?"

It was the truth though. He didn't want to see you wearing make-up because your natural and bare look always stands out the best.

You nodded, not trusting your mouth to respond from his sweet words.

After a while the car stopped at a memorial park. Meaning that there'd be only less people gathering around the place.

You stepped out from the car and stretched out making Levi follow as you awed around the clean, relaxing and beautiful park.

The both of you then walked around.

While you rambled on and on about random stuff, the raven-haired man couldn't help but feel the grazing from the both of your fingers.

He held your hand once or thrice before, but that was it though.

So, he grabbed your hand with slight pink on his cheeks.

"And then--"

You stopped for a minute talking as your eyes widened by the sudden flow electricity from the touch of his hand.

And as if by cue, you both looked at each other.

He looked at you softly while you were still suprised. But you then averted your eyes as you interlocked your fingers along with his.

He smiled while you grabed your other free hand on his shoulder making you kind of lean onto him.

And from that moment, he knew it'd take more than a miracle and beyond infinity of the impossibilities to uncrush you.

As you both continued to chatter, you heard small cute chirps of a bird.

You let go from Levi and hurriedly made your way to the sound.

Levi looked at you quizzically but still followed you.

You looked above a tree to see a nest with two baby birds.

Although, another chirp was heard on the ground, it was the third baby bird.

"Oh no! The baby bird." You pouted your lips and crouched down picking up the bird with both of your hands like a small child.

"Levi look! The poor baby bird is separated from it's siblings.." You stared at the chirping baby bird sadly.

"Baby bird?" He questioned by the callname. He quite did admit, even the callnames you give to animals were cute.

You nodded as you frantically tried to reach it's nest. But you were way too small for you to reach.

He thought of you as a desperate and hopeless cute little child. Or in other words, an adorable sweet and small human who is desperate to help the family of birds.

Levi chuckled and got along with it just because you looked too adorable for his heart to take.

He grabbed your hips and legs then pulled you up making you sit on his broad shoulders shooked.

You smiled simcerely at him and placed back the baby bird on it's nest along with it's siblings whih made Levi put you down.

"You're really light Y/N. Get more fats."

"Sheesh. Whatever my weight is more than enough!" You pouted.

"And your height?" He teased.

"Meanie!!" You scrunched your nose and crossed your hands walking away from him.

He tittered laughing, and quickly catched up as he wrapped an arm on your shoulder.

Even though you were still mad, the ravenette wpuld never fail to make you feel all tingly on the inside. I mean, who were you kidding? You could never stay mad at someone for a long time.

"But.. thank you though! We helped the baby bird return to it's family now!" You smiled sweetly at him looking back to the nest.

Levi turned to look at it to see that the mother bird had just arrived with worms on his beak making Levi shiver.

"It wasn't a problem Y/N.. now they all have each other." He said remaining his stern look.

"Just like how we have each other to rely on." You gave him a soft look.

Shylingly, he nodded and gulped dowm the huge lump on his throat as he ran his fingers through his hair nodding.

"L-let's go back to the car. I have snacks for us."

While walking back, Levi noticed you fumbling through your bag by the corner of his eye. But he didn't pay too much attention to what you're looking for though.

"Hey Levi look at me!"

"Hm?"

Snap!

"What the fuck?"

You giggled cutely skipping around smiling to your phone.

"Oi! Brat, did you just take a picture of me?"

You smiled widely and nodded, "I just needed to have a picture of you taken by me personally y'know."

"You could've just asked you wanted one."

You laughed and scratched your neck remembering yourself next time you would.

A while after, Levi saw you playing with your phone a bit.

Trying to get your attention, he quickly stole your phone making your eyes widen in surprise.

"Hey!"

Levi looked at your phone from above smirking slyly.

You had already opened your Instagram  making him see the post you just posted.

"You posted me? This was the picture you snapped of me a while ago didn't you?"

"Y-yeah.." You shyly responded.

He chuckled as he opened something on your phone.

"Hey Y/N. Smile."

Your phone was then extended by Levi's arm that was gesturing a selife.

"Whoa~! Where did you learn that mister?"

"Whatever. Just smile."

"You too 'kay?"

"Fine brat."

You both then looked at the camera.

You smiled widely while Levi unkowingst to him, also shower a small smile.

He didn't want his first picture with you to be bad, would he now?

Bringing out the small bag of snacks, he closed the car door and turned around to see that you weren't behind him.

He widened his eyes and swore under his breath for not looking back at you a couple times earlier.

He lightly jogged around the surroundings and desperately tried to look for a spot that would attract you the most.

Luckily, he saw you by his sight crouching on a flock of flowers.

He sighed in relief as he hurriedly made his way towards you.

"Y/N, what the hell? Where were you?" He grabbed your arm pulling you upwards.

"Noooo!! Let go of me, I need to help the small flower." You frowned trying to pull out from his grasp even if you knew he was way stronger than you.

Levi looked at you an eyebrow upwards and turned to look down to see a tiny broken flower.

"Bullshit. Y/N... you still should've told me, you literally gave me a heart attack.." He sighed once more massaging his temples and letting go of you.

"I understand that you're worried for me. But some random guy trampled on the tiny flower.." You crouched back down to a small petite flower.

He looked at you seeing how you were trying to stick back up it's stem and petals like a child.. again.

But you were doing it with determination and hope. You were so focused and concentrated in helping it even though it'd still all be useless.

"Y/N, you know you couldn't do anything right?" Levi softly told you as he crouched down too.

"I-I know but it's kind of like saying that the small and vulnerable will always be treated different.." Your eyes looked at the broken flower sadly.

He ruffled your hair and stood up extending his hand for you to grasp.

"C'mon Y/N. More flowers would still grow. I'm sure it was grateful that you at least helped putting it's shit back together again." He at least comforted you in his own words.

You pouted and grabbed his hand again interlocking it with yours and smiled.

"Mhm! Now, where's the snacks?" You chirped while waving farewell to the dead flower.

The both of you settled down by the fence of a cliff.

Levi brought you there knowing that you'd love it for sure.

The place would involve seeing the sunset and the city lights.

It was the perfect place for his first date with you. Even if the both of you are still considered 'unofficial'.. but that would change soon, hopefully.

"Wow~!" You awed again locking your attention to the sun setting by the horizon.

The sunset sended the skies to a pink and fiery bubblegum ablaze.

"No wonder Erwin recommend this.." Levi mumbled under his breath.

But after a few minutes, he then turned to look at you.

You closed your eyes as you enjoyed the feeling of the nice fresh breeze caressing your cheek while the wind blew your hair by your shoulders.

"Hey Y/N..."

"Hm?" You opened your eyes and looked at him softly.

The raven-haired man's breath hitched looking at the beautiful living masterpiece in front of him giving you soft eyes.

He took out what seems like a F/C fur wrapped in a flat and small box in front of you and opened it.

Your eyes landed on a beautiful locket with the words 'Since (year when you two met)' engraved on it.

"Happy Birthday Y/N.." Levi smiled at you sweetly that made your heart melt.

You grinned widely and felt your eyes water as you hugged him tightly.

He was the first one to greet her personally. Others texted and called her over the phone while her Grandmother seemed to forgot, but it wasn't her fault why she'd easily forget considering she is at age now.

Thus, him being the first one through out the day who greeted her made her so, so happy.

"Thank you.." You said as you pressed your lips on his cheek setting him to red.

You smiled slylingly while the man smiled like a fool to himself as he grazed his fingers on his cheek.

Then what was left was silence. A comfortable one in fact.

The both of you then knew that they wouldn't mind more alone moments like this.

Your Soft Heart

You are still the child who gently places
fallen baby birds back in their nests.

You are still the soft soul that gets
your heart broken over cruel words.

You are still the gentle heart who once
tried to heal a flower by trying to stick
it's petals back when ignorant feet trampled on it.

This is why you are important.
This is why you will always be needed.

Kindness is the greatest emdangered thing.
And here you are, existing,
with your heart so full with it.
