1st POV

Unfortunately, getting to the U.S took longer than planned for Cora, Cole, Annabeth, and Kasey. About three weeks. They kept getting attacked by the Coldies. It really put them back. Luckily, for them, they got in contact with the other Centunians via face chat at a library and the internet cafe. They too, were heading for the NASA headquarters. So the children set a meet up point outside of D.C.

         Kasey's POV       

        A week after we got near the Maryland border in America, Annabeth and I met up with Cora and Cole at a Mall in Virginia.

“Excuse me,” I asked a boy who was sitting on a armchair with a girl. He had short brown hair and a bit of a tan. “Are you Cole?”

“Depends on who’s asking. Are you Kasey?”

I nodded. “Good,” he replied. He turned to a girl who was sleeping on the armrest and nudged. “C’mon Cora. Kasey and Annabeth are here. We gotta go.” The girl got up and stretch.

“Who’s that?” She asked rubbing her eye. Then she suddenly perked up. “Oh! Are you Kasey? Sorry, I-um didn’t get much sleep last night and just collapsed.” She laughed nervously. “Where’s Annabeth?”

“Annabeth’s at the restroom. She’ll be back in a-”

“So I see you’ve found Kasey!” A voice said behind me. It was Annabeth’s who was grinning from ear to ear. Then she looked at me and Cora with a mischievous smile. “Oh, did Kasey get a girlfriend, too! Wow, that was quick Kasey!”

“Annabeth!” I yelled. A few people turned their head a us for a quick second and gave us a strange look.

“I was only teasing, Kasey!” Annabeth said laughing.

“Okay…” I said with a bit of uncertainty in my voice. “Meanwhile, why don’t you we go outside so that we can talk in a more private area, if you know what I mean.”

Soon we were outside discussing our plans to get to NASA.

“Hold up!” Cora said with her hands raised. “Wasn’t there supposed to be three groups?”

“Uh? Are you feeling okay?” Cole asked.”

“Yeah, there were only two groups to begin with. Four people in all,” I said.

“No, no! I know there is another group,” Cora said shaking her head. “I don’t know where they are now, but there was another group. Maybe we should wait or something?”

“We can’t Cora,” Annabeth said. “We already wasted three weeks as it is. We need to go now.”

“Okay, fine. But when we get there, keep an eye out okay. Just to be safe,” Cora said.

“Anyways, on a less crazy note,” said Cole. “We need a plan to get into NASA.”

“Lets just rush in!” I suggested. “I’ll be the quickest way to get in and out.”

“Wait,” Annabeth said. “What do we do afterwards? I mean, after we get in and out and then destroy NASA. What do we do then?”

“You join us,”  A male voice said behind us. We all turned around to see a tall man. He was muscular and very fit. He look like one of the Coldies that we say a week ago. He was wearing a camo suit with suspenders and cargo pants and had a bunch of pocket on his shirt. He was carrying a long gun. Immediately we all got into position. Annabeth got ready to give him pain. Cole took out his water and made a whip out of it. Cora set her hand ablaze. I turned into a lion. “Whoa, whoa, whoa!” The russian said putting his hands up in the ‘I surrender’ form. His accent was very thick and a little hard to understand. “I’m here to talk see,” He set his gun down on the ground his hands still up. “Now, lets talk.”

Cora moved towards us and whispered, “Get ready to run at anytime, okay,” We nodded silently. She turned to the soldier. “Who are you and what do you want?”

“I want to help you. My country wants to help you. I’m Polkovnik Алексей or Colonel Alexei. You can call me Alex. We want to help you take down NASA.”

“What do you get out of it?” Cora asked.

“I’m not gonna lie to you. We want to take over the U.S. We want more land.  A better country.”

“And if we say no?” Cora asked.

“Well, then we would turn you in. Take out your whole plan.”

“We can run you know. We’ll be outta here very quickly,” Cole said.

“We’ll find you,” he said flatly.

“If we do help,” Annabeth said. She had a glint of hope in her eyes. “If we do help and we get what we want. Then what? Do you enslave us? Hurt us? What?”

“Little girl, that’s cruel to do such a thing. We’d give you a home like you very much desire. We’d help you and you’d be out in the country where nobody can find you. Do you like that?” Annabeth nodded lowering her hands.

“ANNABETH!” I yelled at her. Instantly she put her hands back up. She put on a straight face but I could see that she wanted to go with this guy more than anything. She’s always wanted a family and home and stuff. She’d do anything to get it too. I thought that we should give her a chance. I turned to Cora. “We should think it over.”

“Fine. Let’s go,” she put out her flames but was still tense. I formed back and Cole put a bit of his water back, but not all. We went to the corner out of his earshot. Immediately, Cora said no.

“Why not!” Annabeth protested. “We really need this. It’s not like we can go back to Centunespoth anyway!”

“It’s too dangerous,” Cole said.

I backed up Annabeth. “But would you rather we’d be running for our lives of the rest of our life? Also what about those kids in NASA anyway? What do we do about them? Leave them? We’d be no better than the americans? They’re probably being tortured at this moment. It’s not fair. Plus, if we go with them, we’d have a better chance of beating NASA, too. Which would you have Cora? We’re wasting time.”

“But-” Cora started, she sighed. “Fine. Whatever, but if we get hurt I’ll tell you I told you so.” Annabeth grinned happily. We ungrouped and Cora walked over to the Colonel. “Fine, Colonel, you win.”

“Okay princess-” Colonel started, Cora took the collar of his shirt and brought it up to her face.

“I may be younger than you Colonel, but if you EVER call me ‘princess’ again, I will not hesitate to kill you,” She threatened. To be honest, the Colonel looked a little nervous.

“Okay sure,” Colonel dismissed the previous threat like it was nothing. “Let’s just get to Washington D.C. okay?”

“Whatever,” Cora grumbled angrily.

Now we are off to NASA and taking down the NASA program.
